Take care of your car. I have been working on cars for 55 years. Change the oil. Do preventative maintenance. Keep the interior clean, Use seat covers. Wash your car especially under car once a week if exposed to dirt, salt, mud or sand ( dirt traps water that causes rust. Repair and replace parts before they get over worn. It is cheaper before a worn part causes more problems !!
Check before you buy a car. What is the cost to replace a water pump or timing belt? Some water pumps are now INSIDE the engine ! Very costly to replace and they will need replaced !!! Change the timing belt If it fails it can destroy your engine
