  • Ian Royle is helping Jeremy Thomas find a new car, who is looking for a 4x4 and has around £10k to spend. He test drives the Chevrolet Blazer to see if this is the off-roader he's looking for, and Chris Hopkins has more in-depth information on the car.

      Range Rovers are classified as Mid Size SUV in North America. You must be British lol

    Apparently they think a compact SUV is "huge".

      @exxusdrugstore300 9 лет назад +5

      That's what I thought when I started watching British car reviews, but it's actually us 'Muricans that are the weird ones, always making stupidly big SUV's and stuff.

    • @RCian2000
      @RCian2000 9 лет назад

      We'll no, if you consider the fact we have wider roads and slightly lower gas prices, its not so stupid. Lol

    • @exxusdrugstore300
      @exxusdrugstore300 9 лет назад +2

      I was just kidding around, I love great big American cars. You do have to admit though, seeing a soccer mom driving a Suburban 3500 around town could be considered a bit excessive.

    • @RCian2000
      @RCian2000 9 лет назад

      I don't know if I could admit to that.

      Well In the UK they don't really have a lot of Big trucks, at least not by American standards.

    I love my 98 Blazer but certain parts of this video made me laugh.....Big?....Huge?...Refined? lol never heard those words associated with a S10 Blazer/Jimmy ever.

    • @exxusdrugstore300
      @exxusdrugstore300 7 лет назад +1

      Seriously, just because it rides smoother than a lawn tractor doesn't make it "refined". I'm especially that they praised it so much considering you can get the better Explorer for a little more money.

    • @form109
      @form109 7 лет назад +1

      Well it just so happens i've owned both a 1998 Chevrolet Blazer & a 1997 Ford Explorer. in terms of trim level the Blazer was a midlevel LS trim and the Explorer was a Eddie baurer no fair comparison there. but to say for the fact the explorer & blazer compared in ride quality & noise levels but the explorer beats it in material quality,fit & finnish & not to mention the explorer was a bit more comfortable. better? in a lot of key areas yes but the explorer has its own set of issues if were talking long term reliability. then again these trucks are considered pretty old now lol

    XD "it's too big" it's so tiny and it's like the smallest American suv that was on the market back then and one of the smallest for sale on any market back then

    This is actually a small SUV, length about the same as a 2014 Mazda 3 sedan and the Mazda is even wider.

    Weren't there any issues with the vacuum tubes that put in the four wheel drive? I've heard something about that (at regular car reviews).

    • @gunterwakeup
      @gunterwakeup 2 года назад +1

      Yeah, at least with mine there were issues. Just the fact that the tubing broke easily or came off the nozzles. Maybe it wasn’t smart to have something important powered by vacuum lmao.

    Big... and bad on Gas?
    I used to drive a freaking 94 Explorer
    It was bigger and worse on gas... and worse in everyway apart from the size.
