An NPR segment today talked about the importance of children having 2 hours a day of outdoor long distance vision to optimize vision development. This led me to find your site regarding accommodation. Thanks!

is this the same with DELAYED EYE FOCUS? i experience that blurredness when i MOVE MY HEAD quickly.
for example, when i am running forward, and someone is calling me from behind, so i'll have to turn my head quickly to check who is calling me--- my vision turns blurred for 1-2 seconds before i can see clearly.
same thing happen if i move my head back to the looking forward position to continue running (blurred again for 1-2 seconds before i can see clearly)
same thing again happen when i look for something URGENTLY that i had to move my head and eyes fast so i can see the missing item as quick as possible. my eye focus cannot catch up and my vision turns blurred for even longer seconds (3-5 seconds or longer or i had to forcefully focus to see again)
is this ciliary/accomodation spasm too? or age related problem? digital eye strain? 😢
I AM STILL 31 YEARS OLD, and i dont have dry eyes. hope you can answer 🙏

I am myopia patient with 27 years old. I'm wearing glass from 10 years old. And the eye power is -11.5. And its increasing every year with -1 or 0.5. Dr. Please tell me how to stop it. 😢

@@anikmajumder4594 you need to find a doc that can prescribe multifocal contacts, OrthoK or low dose atropine. Google myopia control in your area and find a doc that specializes in that.

There could be several reasons for this and it’s hard to know without doing a comprehensive eye exam on you, I would recommend making an appointment with your local Optometrist.

Thanks for explaining this so clearly. As an over 40 adult, I'm sure I have presbyopia but is it possible to also have accommodative infacility as well as presbyopia? i certain have a problem seeing things that are too close and I have to pull things away from my face to see clearly but I also have the issue of not being able to switch between near and far very easily. For example, I was at a convention recently and often had to go from looking up at a stage to looking down to take notes... It was a blurry nightmare of a day as far as my vision was concerned.

I’m sorry to hear of the hard time you had at your convention! It is likely that presbyopia is to blame but it’s also possible you are farsighted which can cause the symptoms to be a bit more bothersome. Do you currently wear glasses?

@@Drbrandonwalley I’ve never worn glasses before but my optometrist suggested that I may want to start soon.
