44871 with Day 1 of “The Great Britain XVI”! | 13/04/24

Today saw LMS Black 5 44871 with the first day of nine on “The Great Britain XVI” railtour, seen around Kent before the loco would then be joined by a second black 5 for the onward journey to Cheltenham. I first see 44871 chuffing its way through Chatham before overtaking it at Newington to see it once again on the outward leg at Herne Bay. For the return leg, I headed to Otford where the locomotive was seen working hard on its way back to London!
