I wanted to take a moment to promote the animated short that @mongopangolin6974 released that I got to provide voice work for. But instead of just going "Here's a video I voiced in, go see it" and leaving it at that, I wanted to take a moment to really talk about what this role means to me, as well as address one of my phobias when it comes to roles and role announcements.
I hope you all don't mind a more personal video that what you probably would rather see on my channel lol Also be sure to give Brycen and his crew some love and support too~

You did an amazing job. I recently watched it about twice or three or four times because the whole thing brings me back to my childhood of the 90s which is the best era of creativity for cartoons and animation. Don’t doubt yourself or sell yourself short after all your achievements both present and future. Watching this whole short more than once got me inspired to write again and tell my story simply just as it came to me. Which is my way. In every sense the short reawakened my inner child again, and like every weekend cartoon I can’t wait to see more and I even want to start my cartoon movies based on my stories. I would like to even meet you and others like you. Artist and dreamers to share ideas.
I been desiring to meet other artists and animators to talk about making my own indie animation. I can write really good rather than draw
Your accomplishments, big or small, will always be valid and important. I’m happy that this character has become special to you and I can’t wait to hear more from you in the future.

I don’t believe something needs to push any boundaries to be high quality!
You and Jordan's vocal performances were a major driving force while I was creating the short's musical score, and it was a lot of fun to add little flourishes around the rich line deliveries. Cheswick's voice reminds me a bit of Steve Buschemi.
As one who's always resonated with low-stakes interpersonal stories more than grandiose emotional epics, you have absolutely nothing to be ashamed of. Keep up the good work!
It’s definitely very fluid and well animated, to a point where like you mentioned “is styled like a 90’s Warner Bros cartoon.” Well I can say I have to agree with all that you and Jordan but into this project! Really captures the spirit and charm of 90’s cartoons.
Cheswick is precious and my favorite character in the short. Really looking forward to any adventures he gets into with Celine.
I recently saw the short and I'm gonna be honest, here... You nailed it as Cheswick! I'd love to see more of your voicework for him in the not too distant future.

That's awesome! Honestly, I feel you regarding that one point; while I see many of my fellow VAs going on about action or horror roles, I would love to be in a fun, low-key cartoon myself, someday! Keep up the good work, Steven!
In my case, I'm all for any role that will suit me; be it anime, a cartoon or an indie production. Anything is possible in this crazy mixed up world, my friend.
I'm actually very happy for you! You're simply taking a moment to truly appreciate the opportunity you earned. And there is nothing wrong with that. There is always amazing things happening, even in the seemingly mundane. I hope to get to where you're at someday as a voice actor.

I’m also a VA myself and I love the flare you’ve added to Cheswick. You definitely add to that snarky yet wise tone Cheswick has. Plus your voice acting matches that cute calm style as those classic cartoons of my childhood.

Man in all honesty im just fucking happy for you, the fact that you get to participate in a high-quality indie animation project while feeling passionate about it is an amazong experience!
You don't need to care about being ambitious in order to be cool or successful, what matters is that you do your own thing and do it in the best way you can! Look at Bluey for example, it’s simplicity is what makes it incredible, you, Mango and Jordan are doing just the same with your amazing work!
I used to feel like you back when I was learning music, I felt like I could never compare to the big RUclips musicians but now I'm making pretty cool stuff while being part of a musical team.
Overall I just hope I can see more of you man, been watching you since your Smash comic dubs and I still await for what you have in store, CHEERS! 🥃!
