He ended up being the ruler in Sugar Rush and co-exist with the game, but all at poor Vanellope’s expenses. Your argument of him being ‘coded that way’ loses ground when you bring up Ralph. You point out that Ralph was coded to be bad but he CHOOSES to be better. There’s even a support group. Turbo had decades to be better and live as a side character or optional non-main character driver. Turbo isn’t a sympathetic character since he’s so self serving and will do anything to keep his status as ‘the best racer’. He didn’t kill Ralph that one time out of any kindness, it was because it would’ve been far too suspicious if he did.

Wreck-it-Ralph was a perfect movie. They ruined it with the second movie by making Vanellope go Turbo, but justifying it by making Ralph the villain again because he didn't want her to do it.
I understand what you were going for, but there were quite a lot of things Turbo could have done to both still be a famous figure. Including becoming an internet legend. Given what Turbo had done to the other racing game, he could just have hung around. Always zooming just out of reach, hopping game to game, and going “Turbo-tastic!”. This video does have a lot of merit! Being alone in the depths of the metro for 10 or so years after probably losing everyone else in your own game can do things to a guy. Especially a guy who's obsessed with WINNING. That man is so far gone down his own pit of jealousy and hate that it's almost kinda SAD- what he did was horribly wrong, of course, but I can't help but ask, when did he FINALLY break and turn into the man we see today? One of the reasons I love him so much is because of HOW we can imagine he became this way.
But i wonder so many things during the movie, how did Turbo disguise himself as King candy? Did he ever learned programming an coding? How did he even get that design? Was king candy an actual character that was scrapped but the creators of the game kept his code within the game so Turbo was able to become him?
Something that seems obvious but it never actually plays in the movie is that Winchel and Duncan are his two "opponents" from his old game that he brought in with him. It's never shown or stated, but it's RIGHT THERE.
Felix's description of going Turbo suggests that Turbo was supposedly killed when he game jumped. So I doubt he was in the open afterwards. It's an open question what he was doing in the intervening time and how he stayed hidden.
Turbo's defense kinda reminds me of the Rose Quartz defense omg like they were both basically js programmed to be that way (which works well bc afaik gems are basically just holographic computers with sentience from the way Pearl explains it) and I actually think these theories could align with the whole universe of TAWOG considering the void and the ending of the series omg also i love your videos so much i just found them and i fw these so much
He had plenty of choices. -Ignore Roadblasters. If Space Invaders can survive the release of Galaga and other space shooters, surely Turbotime (a very popular game!) could survive compeition with Roadblasters. The 2 are completely different types of racing game, too. -Instead of sabotaging Roadblasters, try to make his own game look better. Maybe pave some new tracks, add new powerups or features, etc. Anything that'll be flashy and attention-grabbing. -Like another commenter suggested, sabotage Sugar Rush without ruining it as thoroughly. Keep Vanellope playable but nerf her somehow so she doesn't stand a chance against him.
I think your point about the programmers making Turbo that way is completely incorrect. By that logic the movie doesn't happen because Ralph's entire thing would be "Unga bunga! Break building!" and that would be that. As the famous scene notes, he is a bad guy, but not a BAD guy. Turbo was in a racing game. The objective is to come in first, but that doesn't always happen. Not every kid who plays is going to win, especially in an arcade. As such, Turbo should know how to handle taking 2nd, or 3rd, or last. But he couldn't handle that, and tried to steal or sabotage is competition. I don't think it was out of desperation. I think he was the hero of his game, the good guy. But he wasn't a GOOD guy.
If only Turbo just waiting a few more months or year when Ralph Broke the Internet happened! I mean Venellope basically went Turbo in the Internet (by staying and became part of Murder Race game world) and there was no cosequences to her action!

I feel like you could make a better compelling argument by bringing up the fact that the history of what Turbo did on that day was likely heavily altered and/or simplified due to him being sort of a boogeyman and a story to discourage leaving your own game. The movies version is heavily simplified, and you can tell because there is so many elements of his character that legit have no answer or conclusion/clear picture. For all anyone knew, he got upset, went into the other game and broke it, unplugging both. It’s funny because there will never be an explanation of Turbos actual thoughts during that time except being mad that a better game came out and his was being left in the dust. All in all, you can easily spin his story (in the beginning, before King Candy mind you) in a sympathetic way, and while some of your reasons make sense, I think trying to justify anything King Candy did is pointless because at that point Turbo (or at least who Turbo might have had the potential to be) is long gone. I view him more as a character who easily could be sympathetic at the start, who became truly evil and twisted over the years leading up to Sugar Rush being plugged in, and by the time he overtook the code and became King Candy, there really was no redemption possible for him. Turbo's code programming is a story of what happens when you make a robot and you don't have everything workarounds or safety codes install so it's trying to complete his task and ends up hurting people or killing them
The only explanation I go by is that Vanellope went Turbo in Ralph Breaks the Internet.

He got 2 games put out of order with his own recklessness. He hurt Vanellope and Ralph. Wanting attention is one thing, but hurting others to get it is another. Ralph was envious, but only because he was being treated horribly compared to Felix. He does his job of wrecking the building so the players would have a reason to fix it. He just wanted respect and to not be treated like a bad guy just for doing his job.

Theory:Turbo knew Vanellope would become a princess again if she won so he did his best to stop her.However because he looked away everyone’s memories everyone just thought she would become playable and not just the main character. I understand what you were going for, but there were quite a lot of things Turbo could have done to both still be a famous figure. Including becoming an internet legend.
Given what Turbo had done to the other racing game, he could just have hung around. Always zooming just out of reach, hopping game to game, and going “Turbo-tastic!”. There is no doubt that one day, he could have a remake of his game purely because of someone’s memories about some weird character that always appeared in all the arcade games they played where this weird dude in a racing kart would appear and say “Turbo-tastic!”.

If I were the one who made that Sugar Rush game and saw the "King Candy" character, it would have been the biggest head-tilt, cock-eyed, double-taking WTF ever.
This video does have a lot of merit! Being alone in the depths of the metro for 10 or so years after probably losing everyone else in your own game can do things to a guy. Especially a guy who's obsessed with WINNING. That man is so far gone down his own pit of jealousy and hate that it's almost kinda SAD- what he did was horribly wrong, of course, but I can't help but ask, when did he FINALLY break and turn into the man we see today? One of the reasons I love him so much is because of HOW we can imagine he became this way.
But i wonder so many things during the movie, how did Turbo disguise himself as King candy? Did he ever learned programming an coding? How did he even get that design? Was king candy an actual character that was scrapped but the creators of the game kept his code within the game so Turbo was able to become him?

-Ignore Roadblasters. If Space Invaders can survive the release of Galaga and other space shooters, surely Turbotime (a very popular game!) could survive compeition with Roadblasters. The 2 are completely different types of racing game, too.
-Instead of sabotaging Roadblasters, try to make his own game look better. Maybe pave some new tracks, add new powerups or features, etc. Anything that'll be flashy and attention-grabbing.
-Like another commenter suggested, sabotage Sugar Rush without ruining it as thoroughly. Keep Vanellope playable but nerf her somehow so she doesn't stand a chance against him.

I think your point about the programmers making Turbo that way is completely incorrect. By that logic the movie doesn't happen because Ralph's entire thing would be "Unga bunga! Break building!" and that would be that. As the famous scene notes, he is a bad guy, but not a BAD guy. Turbo was in a racing game. The objective is to come in first, but that doesn't always happen. Not every kid who plays is going to win, especially in an arcade. As such, Turbo should know how to handle taking 2nd, or 3rd, or last. But he couldn't handle that, and tried to steal or sabotage is competition. I don't think it was out of desperation. I think he was the hero of his game, the good guy. But he wasn't a GOOD guy.

Because Arcade Machines have copies and dumped ROMs for emulation exist, that means that there are still multiple copies of the characters still existing.
I feel like you could make a better compelling argument by bringing up the fact that the history of what Turbo did on that day was likely heavily altered and/or simplified due to him being sort of a boogeyman and a story to discourage leaving your own game. The movies version is heavily simplified, and you can tell because there is so many elements of his character that legit have no answer or conclusion/clear picture.
For all anyone knew, he got upset, went into the other game and broke it, unplugging both. It’s funny because there will never be an explanation of Turbos actual thoughts during that time except being mad that a better game came out and his was being left in the dust.
All in all, you can easily spin his story (in the beginning, before King Candy mind you) in a sympathetic way, and while some of your reasons make sense, I think trying to justify anything King Candy did is pointless because at that point Turbo (or at least who Turbo might have had the potential to be) is long gone.
I view him more as a character who easily could be sympathetic at the start, who became truly evil and twisted over the years leading up to Sugar Rush being plugged in, and by the time he overtook the code and became King Candy, there really was no redemption possible for him.
