imo exile with nothing just wrecks anything that says "exiled by this effect" that's still probably bad unless it costed phyrexian white.
How would it interact with cards exiled with Suspend, Adventure, Foretell and Plot?
There's a lot of things that get temporarily exiled, it would probably be very disruptive and annoying in the right matchup but not worth running
CR 406.7 If an object in the exile zone becomes exiled, it doesn’t change zones, but it becomes a new object that has just been exiled.
Translation: Any effect that applied to the card before no longer apply to it (that's what "new object" means). This includes Suspend, Adventure and other self-exile effects, but also a card exiled with an Oblivion Ring (or similar effect) will no longer return when that Oblivion Ring is destroyed.
Exile with nothing can remove all cards that Tibalt, Cosmic Imposter has stolen and not played yet. Suspend, too. Any cards that are exiled with counters, really.
Does that count as a state change for a commander? Like, somehow your commander ended up in exile and now you can get it back to command zone?
@@Unh0lySpectre According to the rules, no. They don't change zones, they just change how they're exiled.
need a black blue "Spell Hostage," thats just a Villanous choice of "Counter this spell, or discard 3 cards at random."
Or a nasty enchantment of "All spells have the additional cost of "Discard a random card"

That actually sounds amazing. The Rack or whatever that does damage every turn or something. Or you could use it for any enchantment or artifact that deals damage to you as a downside, and suddenly it just heals you for the damage, so downside removed, won't work for lose life clauses though. Or lands that deal damage to you, shock lands would just have no downside.
I want that card to be real, there's alot of creative uses for it, the stuck as red/white kinda limits it though.

Are there triggered effects that trigger when a card is exiled? If that is the case, exile with nothing could be broken as hell together with other exile cards. Say that you exiled 10 cards, then you would get 10 triggers for 1 mana.
Index of Taboos still exiles all graveyards, even if the second ability does very little in commander.
Between AI generated cards, and custom cards, I think we should review the levels of magic rules complexity.
Level 1: rule makes sense once you learn it, everyone except the newest players understands. Examples: turn order, phase order, +1/+1 counters, life.
Level 2: can trip you up, but usually solved with a quick Google search or rulebook check. Example: most keywords.
Level 3: I need a judge! Example cards that have been errata multiple times or that have depreciated keywords.
Level 4: I need a Level 3 judge! Example: when cards or other rules directly contradict each other.
Level 5: I need an Adult! Example: Word of Command.

suspended cards are in exile with time counters so exile with nothing will exile those i guess lol
The Land of Tomorrow is absolutely It Dangers, for so many reasons I could write an essay.
For it to be fair, it needs to be legendary, tap for colorless, and the other tap ability needs to cost at least 2 mana. And even then I feel like its pushed.

Cards Exiled from Exiled, are no longer "exiled this way" for all those cards that let you do something with cards they exiled.

I don't know if color counters exist or not, but there are plenty of cards that say when it enters pick a color, or a few cards that change the text of a card by replacing a color with another. The only difference there is that counters would be considered counters and thus can interact with any cards that care about the number of or number of types of counters on other cards.
Index of Taboos is only cast, you can still play or put into play cards with the same name as something in exile
opponent plots a bunch of cards then you exile them with nothing...
Exile with Nothing does as much as One with Nothing. 😂
