Thank you for posting this! I was able to be in the audience for this a few months before I entered the police academy. The lessons learned that morning have continued to guide my career.

I absolutely love listening to Col. Grossman. I’ve had the honor of meeting him and attending one of his seminars years back, and I’ll never forget it. I was lucky enough to take a picture with him and get an autograph copy of his book. Truly an honor. HOAH!!!!

Sheep dog is under authority and the sheep dog answers to the Shepard. We are like sheep, we humble ourselves under the hand of the Lord. We are warriors, that being that we have powers given to us by our Lord. To live is Christ , to die is to gain. We are empowered as sheep but warriors. Nothing shall separate us from the Love of God.

It's good to know a bunch of religious fanatics are in police uniforms harming US citizens. It's going to feel good deploying domestically to wipe out rabid sheepdogs, put down every blue mutt with a rosary. It's what you get for harming the people and the country we protect.

    Excellent speech!
Good, and much needed, philosophy for these uncertain times.

Being a warrior is not a about dying but waking up every morning ready to die . Being a warrior is to be okay with sacrificing your life. Warrior says I will lead the way and set the higher standard through Christ.

It is strange how Dave Grossman professes being a follower of Jesus, then constantly teaches people to act in the exact opposite way Jesus would.

How is he teaching the opposite? I’ve met this man and even shared a meal with him. I assure you that you’re wrong.

@@djduck485 I must have missed the parts where Jesus taught his followers to kill others by overcoming their natural intrinsic feelings that killing is wrong. I think there may have even been something written in stone, like a commandment or something, about it.

@@chrisleaver929 you are correct is saying that you missed that part. It does say just that in several places (especially old testament).
The command that "Thou shalt not kill" in today's terms means to not commit unlawful murder, manslaughter etc. We kill to eat, to protect ourselves and other and for other lawful purposes. Grossman is not teaching military and police to go out and murder. That is political garbage put out by media. I know as I have a background there.
To get back to your original post, yes the bible does speak of one life being taken by another many times. Our founding scripture is Romans 13:4.
But if you do wrong be in fear, for he does not carry the sword in vain.
Go and sell your purse and buy a sword.
Post a guard at the walls.
      There are tons more examples.
The disciples themselves carried swords which was not something that everyone in that day did. Sorry for the long rant, and I hope you read this with an open mind.

@@djduck485 You have convinced me that biblically is ok to kill, but should domestic police training really be similar to that of a military soldier? I guess when your only tool is a hammer every problem looks like a nail.

@@chrisleaver929 You seem like you’re much more intelligent than most people that post on this. I would encourage you to look deeper into the training that is offered. I retired from a major Police Department and was involved in several shootings. Some of the training that we received was similar to some of the military training, but focused in on a reactive stance instead of a proactive stance. With the levels of force used against police on the rise, the response must also be on the rise. I do not believe the police training should mirror military training, but there will be similarities.
