Very very informative as a newbie to this Daw. Well done and one of the better if not the best so far for me to get the basic feel of this from the start . Right on
Transitioning from Logic to Ableton now for psytrance production. Such a good tutorial - very helpful to get all the basics down in order to work around the DAW with ease. Thank you!
Hey, I have spent some millions of hours watching "explanatory" videos about Ableton but at the end of it, I got more and more confused than mastering the process. Your video is a real gold because it is precise, thorough and detailed. Great job, lad. You are the only one that gives full explanations of everything a beginner should know.
Hands down the best beginner tutorial for Ableton on RUclips. Much respect to the creator of this video. It just got you a new Subscriber ✌️❤️🎵 DJ Simply Nice
29:29 "and with house we have our open HAT, I'm going to insert a new audio TRACK and DRAG an open HAT, open HAT let's just search for THAT" wow holy shit these rhymes
Lost me at 1:30 since my install doesn't have that little search box under the "help" menu! In fact, I know I have "Ableton Live 11 Suite" installed but it doesn't even look like what this guy is using! :(
You’re the only person that’s explained it well enough to follow! So.. I’ve mastered this video.. what’s the best video of yours to watch after this one mate? Thanks so much 🙏🏽 😁
This is a great question @EdmProd, you might want to give a more thorough answer here This video was the first one that popped up when I searched for Ableton, and I have the exact same question
I have just changed from fl studio to ableton live 11 and I have watched a bunch of videos about the programe but that video vas the only one wich helped me. Thank you very much and congrats for the 40k.👍👍
An excellent tutorial very clear, step by step and really accessible, huge compliments! It was the first time I learn how to use a DAW and your tutorial was perfect.
Lets see, a 40:00 minute video to explain Ableton, and yet a user friendly, easy to understand, and use DAW with little to know on how to start recording. I'm going with :Mixcraft 10" better loops, less learning curve and far easier to use right out of the gate.
For someone new to working in a DAW, should I go for Bitwig Studio 4.3 or Ableton Live 11 Standard. Will mainly focus on the following genres: (Afro House, Tech House, Latin/Brazilian) As far as the learning curve is concerned, I'm on the fence and would appreciate feedback from the community .
So far this is a good ass tutorial... but I had to stop and just say my guy, you have a folder you added in places that is called "JIZZ SAMPLE PACK" and I just need that to be known
You have a gift for teaching! I find it very discouraging wading through the muck of online tutorials to find information I can use. Your entire video, from start to finish is filled with useful information taught in a way that a 12 year old could understand and a 50 year old would appreciate. Thanks!!
Just shifted from fl studio to ableton I was finding it hard to get use to ableton and found you video. Now every thing is crystal clear ❣️ thankyou so much love from india 🇮🇳 ❤️
thank you so much for the intro into ableton I have only very used GarageBand but getting new aurturia keyboard l thought l would vive this a ago all the best Allan stoke on Trent UK
I noticed that Ableton live 11 lite is not nearly as powerful. For example I had trouble dragging in something simple like drums. So essentially they made sure that this software that was provided with my hardware is essentially useless. The sad part is I actually spend a lot of money on FL studio only to learn that they disable functions on it as well.
the video is great! i have just one more question. My drums or my melody also gets warped, but i cant chance it. can u pleaaaase help me i'm kinda stuck
You are speaking to beginners. Why would you show us how to fade an audio track before we even know how to make a second track? I was right with you until about the 10 minutes mark.
I'm kinda lost but i'm getting there. I'll try to motivate myself to learn all the complex tNice tutorialngs on tNice tutorials program and make so soft i'd like.
Fantastic video that covers some of the important basics many others fly through or skip entirely. I've always found it funny you can have multiple "solo" tracks.
I hate Ableton it’s the worst Daw out there it’s made for sample heads and is of no use for real musicians. Totally pointless and a waste of time and money.
How come you have some samples that I don't see in when I search for it? Does the sample section in the browser search your entire collection? Is there a folder to add to?
Awesome video thank you for this, very helpful in starting out in the world of DAW’S, particularly Ableton…going from a DJ to trying to understand the DAW capabilities to further my skill and dip into the music creating/production technical side of music has been a goal of mine for some time now, but learning the DAW’S has been quite confusing and overwhelming, and I always just find myself staying with my mixdeck to create my own samples, loops, mixes, mashups and overall music manipulation without even attempting to do it in a DAW…this video has really helped me understand the basics and general capabilities that a DAW can offer to up my game and take my creativity to the next level..looking forward to watching more of your videos, much respect and appreciation!!
Excellent video. Thank you. I have one problem with my Ableton Live 11. using Windows 10. Hello, thank you for making many tutorial videos. I am learning the Ableton 11 Intro using your video. I have one problem using Ableton Live 11 Intro. I do not see top two lines in arrangement view: 1) Ableton Folder -xxxx 2) FILE EDIT CREATE VIEW OPTIONS HELP. I do not how it happened. Pls. advise how to reset the screen to view the above settings. Thank you. If you wish, I can call you. I am in the USA.
Loved this tutorial. Simple, detailed enough and got me started on making my loops and feeling comfortable now to take it up a notch. Going to binge all your videos. Keep up the good work!! Currently a DJ who is getting into Producing and these tutorials are making things way easier to understand.
To much information at once but good to reference for later. We just need the basics to record our midi keyboard. Lay down some tracks and add some vocals before we loop anything. We are song writers so will probably only need drum loops and will write the rest. Thanks young man.
I lost something. If i remember well, i had a piano-keyboard in the box beside the info box. After removing and re-installing ableton live 11, i don’t have the piano-keyboard anymore. I would love to get it back, but, how? I don’t know what i did to get it there, so i don’t know how to get it back. I don’t mean the vertical keyboard, but a horizontal keyboard beside the info-box. Any advice would be appreciated
This was really helpful. I used to make music in the 90's with DOS based trackers. I never counted those eJay type softwares as real music tools (where you just pile already-made melodies etc in a pile&row). Way too automated. Anyway, this summer got this inspiration to start again and boy, was i in for a shock when i realized how the softwares had moved on. Got myself a push2 and live suite 11, but i've struggled to get started. Also it seems live11 is "manual enough" for me to count this as a proper tool, if you know what i mean. This video helped a lot. Thank you.
Thanks, really good and helpful tutorial! I'm learning some Ableton Live after having used Logic for many years. I looked through quite a few tutorials here on RUclips and your's seems to be the best.
umaigad! so many things to learn, i didn't even know where to start. your video helped me come to grips with the basics. still got a looong way to go is an understatement but...learning's life. thanks a bunch. haven't even finished this video yet so... be checking on your other videos after this one.
Wow man. Your pronunciation of the words is so nice. Im not from the english speaking country and I understood each word and all material. Thank u so much for this video

Thank you for the time and effort that went into providing this beginner tutorial for all of us who are new to the DAW. Appreciate it!
Outstanding! One of the best tutorials yet for Ableton Live 11! Really appreciate how you de-mystified this cryptic DAW for us.

I can’t tell you how many videos I’ve watched on the function of ableton. This is by far the best beginner one. Thank you!

Plenty of other Ableton stuff on our channel :)

This is a great question @EdmProd, you might want to give a more thorough answer here
This video was the first one that popped up when I searched for Ableton, and I have the exact same question
exactly
you ought to make a video with a newbie, and talk about the mistakes he she makes.they all say move this, add that,HOW!!
Thanks so much! Long time Cubase user but it doesn't like to play nice with OBS, so far I love this and can see why most EDM artists use Ableton.
this very good tutorial ,very understandleable ,thanx ,great work
where has first page gone[it had how to record guitar]!!
Good video commenting for algorithm
You're a wonderful instructor. I learned so much, thank you!
Thank you. I have been a musician all my life (piano). Now trying to learn this to enhance my music videos.
There is one sample pack round the 11:16 mark that totally made my day!
Thank you so much for starting with arrangement view.
Very educative. I'm really helped by this lecture video. More Grace Bro

Your the man! Subscribed!!! Ty sir
Thank you sooo much!!!
cheers just got Ableton and was like 😅
THANK YOU!!!! you actually guide your viewers through soft, unlike so videos that rush the whole tNice tutorialng or talk too fast.

Not enough people in these comments are talking about his "JIZZ SAMPLE PACK," located at 11:19.. other than that, fantastic video.

Do you have a RUclips video on how to start a podcast with music on Ableton 11 for beginners step by step
I understand everything except one thing. Why they call this music?
Tysm! I just don't get to see any sound (13.33 in red) if I drag a sample? I tried an .adg file
Fantastic video that covers some of the important basics many others fly through or skip entirely. I've always found it funny you can have multiple "solo" tracks.
Glad it was helpful!
i'm an acid head. magix, former sony acid head. also vegas. i'm trying hard to transition over to ableton
I appreciate what you're doing. Keep up the great content homie
amazingly helpful. thank you 🙇♂
I loved it until you used your own sample! I wish you showed us how to use something from ableton itself. Sigh!
Hahaha. There was a "JIZZ sample pack"
Haha yes, this is the actual artist name of a Mexican based music producer
Moving to Ableton (at least to try) and i find this tutorial very very 👍 thanks to the author of the channel 🎉
He made it look so easy, and I know it’s not 😭😭 Superb video
no hate this is so helpful, but everyone at 16:21 he is saying "click R" not "click Aah"
This took me a few listens to figure it out
First one to show us this bar ! How it actually works. So many selfie like who cant teach,So thanks a lot 👍👍
Fantastic!
Exactly what I needed. Thanks.
5+ years FL user here trying to make the switch to Ableton :D
Fantastic tutorial mate. No one explains shit better than Aussies. Well done. I'm already searching for your next one. Thumbs up + SUB!!
Glad you enjoyed my friend! :)
Love this video! how did you get the EQ to load up on your drum loop? Mine disappeared :/ See 24:00
I hate Ableton it’s the worst Daw out there it’s made for sample heads and is of no use for real musicians. Totally pointless and a waste of time and money.
Excellent video for a beginner like me. I will watch again!
every time I try to drag a sound it doesn't sound the same like it'll just sound so bad and it wont dragging it into the session. Help
How come you have some samples that I don't see in when I search for it? Does the sample section in the browser search your entire collection? Is there a folder to add to?
Do you think it’s okay to record hardware drums as a single stem into abelton ?

Hey! Thanks so much for this video!
11:45 When i do this no audio file appears on the empty space. only that the audio track changed name to the audio i dragged and dropped
Thank you for this video, i felt kinda lost in Ableton as a new user, you made everything easy to understand!
Every time I try to throw a sound into a midi bar I can’t hear anything
Great stuff thanks
every helpful video! thank you man
i watched over 20 videos and this one was one the best!!! cheers
So far the best explanation. Zooming and talking to the subject. Well done 👍

This is a tutorial that is meant to cover all of the basics of the DAW. What it sounds like you’re looking for is a tutorial on recording MIDI.
I lost something. If i remember well, i had a piano-keyboard in the box beside the info box. After removing and re-installing ableton live 11, i don’t have the piano-keyboard anymore. I would love to get it back, but, how? I don’t know what i did to get it there, so i don’t know how to get it back.

Yep! Well nowadays there is a lot of automation, but only as much as you want to use... Glad you're finding these useful :)
After weeks of watching how to Ableton, you have clicked it into place on your first vid. Thanks man, wishing you continued success.
Thanks, really good and helpful tutorial! I'm learning some Ableton Live after having used Logic for many years. I looked through quite a few tutorials here on RUclips and your's seems to be the best.
I got 83 days left on my trial, my eyes started bleeding as I tried learning from Ableton "Help" tutorial. Thank you for this!
