I made the same experience in Chile yesterday (11s faster!!) with the great improved physics after patch 1.4👍👌🙌!! Great and clean driving TL👌! This sim is now so great, and with the racenet you could get better and better if you go deep in the Analyse as I told in an other answer in this comment thread here, as someone asked what is racenet…
So I'm not mad! The handling IS different. So much more lively. Can feel and use the weight more. Easy to kick out the rear. tarmac is more challenging as well (and you can finally use the handbrake now!).
Insane driving btw
Before it was a nice sim, but now it is great, it is wonderful, the weight transfer is now the best in ANY rally sim out there, also better than in RBR! The RWDs on gravel is pure lively rally sport - love it🥰👍👌🙌!! Try Chile with the Lancia 037 - wow!!!

I also commented the 7 days old vid from you (a really great vid from you👍👌🙌, pls all here, have a look to that vid of TL!!) about the ,new physics‘ after patch 1.4… so important that big step for WRC 23🙌🙌🙌!!! And that without a patch note… Nice to have the Europe stages but the overworked physics are the big deal of patch 1.4🤔🤗🙌!!!

I've been having a lot of fun with the game, but the screen tear is a big problem(x box). The co driver needs to be better aswell, lots of bits where they need a few more details.
Game has felt this way since launch. In 1.4 a lot of the Diff tunes from stock were changed.
This discussion I have now so often, yes they changed diffs, and it have a result, but this is only one point, the overworked the physics, I felt it after a few seconds, and the more I drive , and the more you drive at the real limit you could feel. Make the experience, put the diffs back to the launch setting and try, you could feel the difference!!
How do you feel about softening the front end? I like to raise the front up to a cm for not so jumpy maps( raise it even more for findland and such). Soften the fronts and raise the bump stops. The car want to turn in on brakes like its on tarmac all the time.
It really digs in. However, it makes it not so stable on higher speeds as the front end jumps a lot.
But for me, its a nice compromise. I get to turn in without any effort, sometimes i dont even need the handbrake.
Tuning finally makes sense. Great update.
Suspension is witchcraft! I went through a few tuning philosophies to get the Renault 5 just right. I normally go firm in the front, soft in the rear, and drive with as much entry momentum as possible. On gravel I want the car to FLOAT even though people complain about that. So I'm normally level on gravel, back end up on tarmac.
It still looks like the cars are floating above the surface instead of reacting to it. Like every camera view is on a gimbal. It's nothing close to the kind of physics / shaking present on rough terrain. Once you see this you can't unsee it. It's immersion breaking. If I wanted this I would play wipeout. I guess it was kind of futile expecting them to fix this in an update though.

Sorry for the dumb question TL. But what’s the purpose of EA Racenet?
It's how you create and register for club events.
You could also see all your club progress, you could do an Analyse of every stage in a comic like replay and you could compare in that replay vid with every other in the club. It is my favorite www page!! It is wonderful in combination with WRC 23, you can improve your driving style and skill, you could find every mistake you did in the race you can refine your complete driving style, you could see every break input in percent, every gas input, every steer input… and thousands more…
