Hey guys! Just started watching your channel-very entertaining 😁 I have a Class C, but y'all make me want an Airstream 😆

just discovered your channel thanks to Luv Subbin. I'm a lot (really a lot!) older than you but that doesn't keep me from enjoying your channel. Just love it and now have something to look forward to. We have a 2006 Classic--with a slideout--that we renovated. After many false starts, family crises and mishaps, we are finally moving in the right direction. Keep those videos coming, and thank you.

Thanks for reaching out Genie! We are really excited and thankful to have you along! News flash… most of our friends we’ve met on the road were also (really a lot) older than us and we got along great! Sounds like you have a SWEET set up. We haven’t actually toured an airstream with a slideout yet so let’s add it to the bucket list!
PS: New video filmed, should be up in a few days! Happy trails you guys :)

When we actually get going on a longer trip and we run across you if we get lucky, we will give you a tour and the short version of our star crossed journey so far.

I’ve been planning to get/make a simple step stool thing so as to not need to deploy the steps for quick stops. It would also maybe mitigate the need to go in and out before setup is finished. I need to get on that. Our AS has the aluminum steps and I might actually weep if I munged them.

No weeping David… let’s get to making that step! 😂 Throw a patent on that while you’re at it… and then sell us one!

Thanks for another great video! Just curious... where'd you stay at Great Smoky Mountains?

We stayed at one of the RV friendly campgrounds within the park! Was a great setup!

Up here in Canada we can get out propane tanks recertified, at a propane service and fill company.

I live on Vancouver Island and the heated water hose is my peace of mind during the winter months

Glad to see some happy upbeat video after all the terror on the other side of the world, thanks!
We bought our 27 footer (front twins) last summer still waiting on new Ram, haven’t used it yet.
    Cheers from Vancouver.

Thanks for the thoughtful comment you guys! We love Vancouver and BC. Went up there two months before COVID hit to ski Whistler. Had an amazing time! Hopefully you can get that Airstream out this summer. Take care! 😎

    Just found your channel.
In freezing temperatures, fill water tank & disconnect city water.
Airstreams are not 4 season trailers.
I don't believe they have heated tanks. All that aluminum conducts both heat & cold.

Interesting suggestion. Furnace on with the fresh water tank full. Not a bad idea! Thanks for finding us and the comment John! ✊

My Lance trailer has heated & enclosed tanks. Ducted heat from furnace keeps tanks from freezing.

Just curious: Was there a way to buff out the scratches?
We love our Airstream, but know from personal experience, that replacing the panels is expensive!

    • @ALittleBitUnhitched
      @ALittleBitUnhitched  2 года назад +1

Thanks for the question Tom. The scratches were superficial enough to where it didn’t affect the aluminum. It was only contained to the clear coat, so after a good wash/wax (with Turtle Wax) the scratches for the most part were undetectable. We definitely were fortunate… because you are right, you’ll have to give up a kidney to replace a panel 😂
