    Wow great minds think alike,when I mixed my 1st batch of pillow, because I am poor,after studying for months , knowing blooms would be my #1 technique to master with a Dutch or two along my way.i decided to do the glue all Pouring medium, about 50% floetrol 30% behr satin enamel untainted because I am poor and 8oz is $4.95 10% water 10%... I have only done half dozen 8x8 tiles and a couple costers,, I had no cracking !!! Thus far,but after studying some more,I now want to add ,golden soft gel to my pillow base it adds bounce,and glossy essence into the bloom,that floetrol dulls out,and this video is my affirmation to get it !!! Plus I want to make my own matalic/pearl bloom colors,! No it's not the best ,like colorart piggys,but I can't afford the best at this point !!! I am praying to win some though lol

    Thanks for sharing your experiments. I will give it a try cause I don’t like to use house paints that much. And this is great!

      Great! I use it quite a bit and when I do get house paint, the Multi pro one at Home Depot is the best. It’s also very cheap, less than $20.

    Sherwin Williams has a beautiful black in Satin by the quart. It's called Tricorn Black in the color to go sample quarts it's about $10.00

  • @terilechner
    @terilechner 5 месяцев назад

    The Tricorn black is also thinner than the white house paints. I've also used the Sherwin Williams Color to go Sample Ultra Deep Base untinted and made my own colors from it!😊

      Hi, the whole purpose for this recipe is to not use house paint I was working on a custom guitar and needed the paint to flow better, dry better and be glossy. House paint just isn’t as good for this application.

    Christina I was on the road when you did this so I saved it to Messenger and I just come across it I'm one that have had a problem with my pillow paint seems to thick to me and I can't get the artist life flow I can only get the soft body yeah I'm in Kansas go figure right. Anyhow I have added floetrol and it seems to work better I just have an issue with air bubbles even if the paint has set and I kind of pounded on the table so to speak I quit using the torch even I don't use it on house paint but even in the middle of high where it's not touching it it seems like it just brings up more air bubbles and there's so many can't pop them all it would take me forever. That back to this recipe I don't have satinine nails and black and the gel gloss I have I believe is medium and I got it from Dick Blick and it was a off-brand ulteche , I think. I'm sure that spelled wrong. I might have enough for four times recipe a series started at $320 local and at the end at the end of the baby I would love you your recipes that would just be awesome and as soon as I get the right color in satin enamels I do have the pure white or in a couple other colors but not black I will definitely give this a shot sounds like a win-win. Thanks for sharing that video and your little sister stunning. And can't wait to watch more of your upcoming videos. Peace out be safe be well and God bless ! 😉👍🤲🤲🙏🙏✌✌✌✌✌

    How much water did you add to the recipe? Thanks for sharing it😊

    • @artcreationsby1creativedir295
      @artcreationsby1creativedir295  2 года назад +1

      The amount of water for this recipe is not as critical as other ones. If you’re just doing a 1x batch, I would start out with 10 to 15g and check your consistency. You want it to be thicker than Dutch pour paint but thinner than house paint. Go to about 22 minutes in to the video and I show what the consistency looks like. Let me know if need any help.

    I want to get some golden soft gel,and golden is recommended over other soft gels,it is great to add to cheap pour paints,and cheap tube paints ,I have been studying, and inquiring the soft gell is good to mix mica pigments into with a little gloss medium to make your own matalic/pearl custom colors 💖 you can use color paint and mix in your custom gel mix,to create a custom pour 🎨 so far the best and lowest cost cell activator, made without Australian floetrol, is 7 to 1 american floetrol to Amsterdam black,or white,and 12 to 15 drops minwax pre stain (red can) I got the cell activator recipe from a you tube artest,but her name has left my mind,I have a headache ,when it comes back to me I will post it

    • @artcreationsby1creativedir295
      @artcreationsby1creativedir295  2 года назад +1

      I am not sure how much cell activator you are mixing at a time but 12-15 drops seems like too much to me. Keep in mind it doesn’t keep as long as the colors for your blooms do when mixed in advance. In my experience, your cell activator weakens each day after you mix. I only make small amounts at a time to avoid wasting it.

    What white paint do you use for a white base?

    • @artcreationsby1creativedir295
      @artcreationsby1creativedir295  Год назад

      @karenavery3672, For bloom pillow paint, I either use Multi Pro or my special recipe in white. I’m not sure if you meant that question for blooms? I use Blickcrylic for my base paint in the bloom special recipe as well as for my base on Dutch pours.

    • @artcreationsby1creativedir295
      @artcreationsby1creativedir295  Год назад

      The recipe is in the description box but I copied it for you. 😁 I started out using artist loft but I mostly use Blickcrylic now and I imagine any brand would work.
      Here is the recipe:
      This is just a base amount, I typically do this x 3 or 4.
      80 grams of Flood / Floetrol
      40 grams of Artist Loft Flow - Black
      approximately 10 grams of Deco Art Satin enamel - black
      approximately 1/2 tbsp of Golden soft gloss gel (or other gloss gel)
      add water to get consistency. You want it thicker than dutch pour but thinner than house paint.

      I’m sorry you feel that way. The recipe and ingredients are in the description box if you need them. When I first started painting, I started with the bloom and I had it all wrong. I was so confused and struggled with the house paint everyone was using. I sincerely try to share things I feel are helpful so others don’t have to struggle and feel frustrated. Please let me know if I can help you in any way. I haven’t been doing this very long so I understand what you are feeling.

      If you are a big beginner you should not be doing blooms. Those are the hardest to do and get some regular pours under your belt first.

  • @audreygullas8728

    I think that if you used a gel that was hard to mix in , it would be best to mix the gel and the paint in a small amount at a time together , then incorporate the rest. Just so you can get it used up. Just an idea. Also Golden is high dollar which some can not afford. That would be me.
