Turned out the code for my 2nd hand Xbox was 1111 so job done. I got it on the 3rd try. Tried 1234, 0000. I’m guessing I struck lucky, but I’m this video proved useful for others 👍🏻
Removing a family settings passcode on Xbox 360 Start by going to the SYSTEM tab and select CONSOLE SETTINGS. Scroll all the way down to the bottom and select SYSTEM INFO. When you open up this screen, just hit these buttons in this order: LEFT TRIGGER, RIGHT TRIGGER, X, Y, LEFT BUMPER, RIGHT BUMPER. If it doesn't work right away, just try it again. A screen should pop up asking you if you would like to reset the settings. This won't delete your profile or anything so select YES. The XBOX will restart itself and it will then ask for the language and country again. Next, it will ask for info on the passcode. Choose the rating you want the code for and then input your new code.
ya... pawn shop rip off. but wait? dosnt hacking the code this way just give u access to settings and not remove the code? i just wanted to reset the 360 but cuz the parental control i cant. so im trying to hac the reset code instead. as for a HDD i just get up to 2 tb (with latest update) usb drive. cheaper then getting the enclosure and HDD.
Yes, it will let you turn off the control but it won't remove the code. This isn't a problem if you don't actually want to use the parental controls, though.
I uploaded every thing to my teensy 4.1 and it still doesnt work, where should I put the vsub files? Also when I use it on my mac it says the keyboard can't be identified, but it works still, it'll put the codes in and enter but when I put it in the xbox nothing happens. When I plug in my normal keyboard to the xbox it works but the teensy doesnt work.
I'm not quite sure as I don't have a Teensy 4.1 at all. (I used a Teensy 2.0++). You may need to do some changes to the code or modify the USB peripheral settings. It could also be an issue with using a different version of Arduino software, I only verified it with the version I had at the time. (Noted in the read me file). Unless your hardware can't act as a USB peripheral natively, you don't need the V-USB library anyway. I assume the Teensy 4.1 doesn't. I also recall hearing recently about Microsoft wanting to disable 3rd party peripheral support but I don't know if that has happened or if the 360 would even be affected.
Did you ever figure it out? I've got the code set the board to teensy 4.0 set the port to the teensy port Set USB type to "Keyboard+Mouse+Joystick" Verified the code Uploaded the code It writes the numbers on notepad while connected to the computer but If I try on the xbox it does nothing Which makes me think that it's not actually writing to the teensy ... and if it is it's not running on anything else

Any idea why in my case my xbox 360 when i turn off the parental control setting they turn back on. My languege setting also changes on its own after a few second of doing something else on the console. 🗣🚨
I just got my neighbors xbox 360 and I saw yuh video prior to him calling me so my question can I use a regular thumb drive or load it on my phone and use a app
Sorry, a flash drive won't work at all. This has to be a device that emulates a USB keyboard and sends the codes as actual keystrokes. Your only other option is opening the Xbox and dumping the ROM to find the code, as far as I know, which is more difficult than what I've shown here.
Did you contact Microsoft support to get the code, or using a random code posted on the internet? It seems the codes are unique per serial number, so trying to use someone else's code won't work. If Microsoft support gave you a number that doesn't work, you'd have to ask them about it.
All you have to do is go to system settings screen where the serial number is located and press the following buttons; LT, RT, X, Y, LB, RB, U (up on the game pad), Y, Y, X Then it will ask you if you want to reset the parent passcode. Poof!!! Easiest option ever
I can't confirm this would work, from what I read, these kinds of reset codes are uniquely generated by Microsoft from your serial number, therefore, you must contact Microsoft and probably prove proof of purchase. Not likely to work in my scenario where the Xbox was bought second hand.
@@Agent24Electronics oh you actually might be right. I called Microsoft and they gave me that code basically. well, anyway it was super easy to get and took care of it so much easier than this way. Not trying to discredit the option in the video, because it's super creative, but for those that don't have the hardware, call Microsoft and know that it's possible.
Yea nah I don't wanna dump the flash gna try the other method. Rather spend most of the day decoding that soldering! Appreciate the vid though, saved me!
The code is whatever it was set to, by whoever set it. That's why the program has to run through all possible codes, because it doesn't know which one is correct.
Try this: On the 360 dashboard, scroll over to the “System” tab. On the System tab, click “Console Settings”. Scroll down in console settings and click “System Info”. When the system info box comes up type in this sequence: LT RT X Y LB RB X X Up,Down (D-pad) A box should come up and say, "Would you like to reset the console to the factory defaults?" Click Reset and you’re done! This worked on my 360 Slim
Could it possibly working downloading code/website on laptop then downloading into usb gb drive then same usb into Xbox, ( does have to be tweensy) and/or us lan cables or hdmis to connect xbox to laptop to bypass code??? Por favor 🙏
You need some kind of device that can pretend to be a controller or USB keyboard and send the codes. A Teensy, or certain Arduino boards can do this. A USB flash drive or laptop cannot.
You'd need to download and install the Arduino IDE, then the Teensyduino add-on, and load my code into the IDE. Connect your Teensy board and upload. I guess if you've never used Arduino etc before it may be tricky. Perhaps I should make a video showing the whole process.
@@Agent24Electronics i have not used one before, ordered the teensy after watching your video. I actually figured it all out but a tutorial could be good! i will test on my xbox when i get home from work. Thanks for the video and the reply!

I changed the thermal paste and the hard drive is new Everything seems fine But sometimes it freezes It freezes with digital playback of any game I have had multiple 360s but still the same problem Never red leds Is it normal for it to freeze?
Perhaps somehow, but not directly. You'd need something that can emulate a keyboard, receive keystrokes from the computer to send them into the Xbox360, which is basically using a Teensy etc with extra steps. Much simpler to get a Teensy and upload the code to it that has already been written.
If your Xbox360 is registered to your Microsoft Account you can reset through there: support.xbox.com/en-US/help/xbox-360/security/forgotten-parental-controls-pass-code Otherwise, you would need to use this USB device.
