Really impressed by Paula Poundstone’s confidence. Solid debut.

The funny thing is there are still poultry catching ads in newspapers to this day in the newspapers in Canada.

I knew a girl in HS who looked a great deal like Chrissy Everett. Needless to say I was smitten with her. And look at Chrissy's outfit here: Ill fitting blue cotton two-piece with those white nylons and cute flats? All put together with puffy, mid-length boyish feathered hair and coy mocking giggle at Dave's tennis miscues? God, I miss the 80's..

Hey, Don, love the uploads. Does anyone know the name of the song the band plays at 12:23? they played it a lot and I don't know it.

“I’ll Go Crazy” - James Brown. Here’s his original version: ruclips.net/video/Twa3WQk2fgk/видео.html

(Paul plays “Stand” after the segment in the hall with the people standing.)
What *I’ve* been craving to watch is the 8th anniversary show from RCMH, but that might bring heat because of all the music. I watched my tape of that many times; Carole King and Paul on the organ manuals in the corners, Ben E. King, Cyndi Lauper, et al.

Listening to Paul's choice of music, if you paid close attention, was just one more really funny thing about this show.

"McEnroe doesn't hit the ball this hard" (21:48)
Chris Evert on the speed of the tennis balls coming out of the machine during the tennis segment with Dave..........Was she kidding ???
And also with how she was reacting to the first few balls launched from the machine........acting as if she had never seen a tennis ball coming at her with any kind of fast pace on it.
Honestly, why would a professional tennis player of her stature seem so surprised at this?
Yes, the balls were coming out A LITTLE fast, and they were in an enclosed hallway, relatively close to the machine, but still..........I would think most professional athletes, much less a pro tennis player, would not be "thrown" at all by a mildly fast ball coming in her direction, unless it was coming out at, say, something like 200 miles an hour.
Just seems a bit odd, since it's something, as she stated earlier in the interview, that she had been doing since she was 6 years old.....

seemed she just wasn't expecting that rate of speed on the 1st ball, after that she did fine. also, mac was always a touch player and didn't hit the ball at all hard relative to most pros.

The ball machine is usually at the opposite baseline unless they are practicing at the net in which case they just punch at the ball.

Clearly you thought this was a documentary, as opposed to a comedy show. How else to conjure such a babyish, judgmental reaction--you wouldn't happen to be McEnroe himself, would you?
