I dont rike it too
@@GKOYG_and_KAAF_is_epic...it's been five years.......................
1:06 - This should be a subscribe sound.
The thing is despite all the flack the cutscenes get for being over the top, they still don't seem out of place in an MGS game. We've seen weirder things in other MGS games.
Exactly.
It’s only because it’s being compared to the original. If the Twin Snakes was the original MGS1 no one would have an issue
I really love these, there just so over the top that its lit.
And its not like the other games dont have stuff like this- EVA backflips on a motorcycle, Snake dives into the ocean after a metal gear, Vamp flies around and runs on water, in Peace Walker Big Boss just kills dragons.... great series
1:17
Well I certainly didn't mind that change.
They managed to make the gray fox scenes the most realistic lmao
How exactly? Hey did the same thing in the original game.
You're saying the guy that survived a Metal Gear explosion without damage and casually moved faster than sound without cyborg enhancements is the most realistic?
From the director of Versus and Godzilla: Final Wars
"Everybody likes Godzilla!"
I personally love this over the top shit,
It's what MGS is all about
Tell that to Metal Gear 1 and 2 (for the MSX).
Jumping off a rocket to fire another rocket is awesome. Don't let anyone tell you otherwise.
Snake outran Outer Heaven's Nuclear explosion in Metal Gear 1
@@GeneFOX70 I see you all over this comment section constantly saying this lie about snake out running a nuclear explosion when this never happened. Mushroom cloud doesn't automatically equal a nuke. Not to mention that explosion got retconned into also being an air strike. I don't think there'd be many if at all survivors to air strike if they were at ground zero of a nuclear blast. So can you stop spreading this lie please?
This is the best thing I've ever seen, I'm so mad that I never played the Twin Snakes before. They need to re-do all the MGS games in this insane over the top fashion....MGS4 gets pretty close at times, but i think they can get crazier with it.
buzzcat3 Good luck getting a copy.
It's like one of my Japanese animes.
Snek, you're that ninja.
Everyone says this is otacons retelling.
I always figured this was Raiden's VR training.
It could be neither.
What if Metal Gear Solid The Twin Snakes was only a VR Simulation for Raiden?
you never know...
You're not even the first one who came up with that theory.
@@filipeflower yeah i'm pretty sure somebody else already came up with that years ago
@@fgr7002 Right on.
13:05 Best moment
I like when Snake nods at the camera when Psycho Mantis tells him to put the controller down. It's so absurd, even the game is like, "Just play along."
1:45 makes sense, he never did that with his left hand.
What about MGS 3?
Why can't this get an hd re-release! I loved this game on gamecube back in the day!
Because copyright.
The fight with SSSniperWolf looked more realistic on the original one. It looks like Gmod here
SSSniperWolf? Isn't that the famous girl RUclipsr?
*(repeatedly bangs Otacon's head against the bars)*
"Hurry up and let me out!"
I've been playing TTS again recently for nostalgia's sake. Yes, the cutscenes are over the top, but I think it kind of makes it endearing and more enjoyable. That and I have ADD, so if something isn't exploding or someone isn't flipping every five seconds, I'll get bor- oh, shiny thing! :o
Kind of wish the gray fox vs. REX fight was shown in this. That was one of my favorite cutscenes.
The guy who made the Versus movie, Ryuhei Kitamua, had a hand in directing these.
I know Snake was a badass but DAMN the way he hopped off the Missile
I never understood where the moveset for Brawl came from because I didn't play this version of metal gear. After learning of the existance of these cutscenes I get it more
For me,one scene was nailed perfectly with Kitamura's style, and that is the Elevator scene in the opening credits.
Fans at MGS TS: these cutscenes are too over the top
Fans at MGS 4 with cyborg raiden breakdancing 2 Gekkos away: nice…
Exactly.
bro it's nothing like that the original mgs has some best cutscenes tough that keep me exited and TS is a remake and when you do a remake it's good that you keep all the things same except graphics and physics that is why everyone hates twin snakes.
Yes, because MGS4 is not inputting ridiculousness into a pre-existing story in places where there weren't any prior, meanwhile TS does nothing BUT that
when I was 10 this was the coolest game in the world. Still is
2:38 me and the boys attacking Snake on the elevator.
Solid Optimus This happens to me when i play smash ultimate online, people always gang up on me.
MGSTS Snake: Flips so much, that he makes Samus Aran look modest
when has metal gear ever not been ludicrous?
My point exactly.
Solid Snake, the man who destroyed a Tank with Grenades.
even Otacon said in MGS4 that he was "the shit !"
This is Otacon anime level of ludicrous. In other MGS games, it usually is more... down to earth often
@@matrix91234 I wouldn't be too sure of that.
@@matrix91234 What part of vampires running on walls and water and ninjas slicing soldiers while deflecting bullets with a sword after freezing bombs left by a roller-skating fatman while president of United States gropes your crotch was down to Earth? That's just MGS2.
First game had even less grounded stuff, like Psycho Mantis reading your memory card.
This game is a joke
And more hilarious thing that Kojima insisted on those over the top cutscenes
game is a great remake
I think that this is what made it such a great remake.
If you played the original, then you got something new and interesting in this one. Even if you didn't like the new one, there is still the old one to go back to.
@@KillNamniaR The thing is that even as a remake its gameplay doesn't work. MGS2 and MGS1s areas don't mesh well.
did u rike it?
I think its his way of saying fuck you to the guys who made him do it, since the original is a masterpiece and didnt need a remake
Wait, when that solider hit Snake and he didn't fall, that was awesome.
Me:Hey Snake here you go man! *throws beer*
Snake: *Backflips over beer*
*Beer hits wall exploding behind him as Snake lands*
Me: Dude WTF!!
Nobody:
Not a single soul I swear:
Chat:"timing"
Darth Vader: My hallway scene is better
Darth Maul: Hush rookie, I did not use my lightsaber
Luke Skywalker: I think we can all agree that mine is *superior*
Cyborg Ninja: Check 6:30
I wouldn't have them any other way.
Kojima himself approved of this ridiculousness and we're all blessed.
Exactly.
Ludicrous? theses cut scenes are downright awesome!
If somebody animated this nobody would be able to tell the difference between this and Jojo's Bizzare Adventure. I fucking swear.
This is pretty much Phantom Blood. Hell, Liquid Snake even LOOKS like Dio!
i dunno, feels more like evil may cry to me, some scenes felt straight out ripped from dmc3
twin snakes will always have my favorite cutscenes
This actually feels more canon. This is why everybody wanted Big boss's DNA. A really super (anime) soldier.
But Big Boss himself never did what David did here.
@@filipeflower what i mean is that this is what you get when you clone big boss.
@@orpheus0108 Yeah, I got that, but it doesn't make that much sense.
@@filipeflower i guess it doesnt make sense because big boss wasnt doing these crazy flips but in a way, it would have been cooler if he did. To me the twin snakes version of snake seems more like a perfect soldier than his MGS1/MGS2 counterpart.
I feel like in a way it makes more sense for this to be more in line with "the super soldier"
I'd argue raiden is more of a perfect soldier than snake is.
@@orpheus0108 What about Gray Fox?
I’ve never played Twin Snakes but this looks ridiculous
its pretty fun, especially if you like MGS for the over the top action
it’s a remake of MGS1 but with really cheesy DMC-esque cutscenes it’s really funny
0:32 THAT TIMING
The twin snakes is T H E D E F I N I T I V E Metal Gear Experience.
At least, for now.
Nope Metal gear solid 1 is better. Better voice acting, better cutscenes, gameplay that isn't broken by adding mgs2 first person aiming and gameplay to mgs1 that makes the twin snakes too easy and breaks most of the bosses in the game. mgs1 has a better ost which was cut from the Twin snakes.
I love how when ocelot drops his gun snake doesn’t even say anything. Maintains that composure.
Ocelot:You're pretty good 👉👉
Snake:You're pretty bad👇👇
2:36 Tengu, you guys are about 4 years early wait until the Big Shell Incident
Why is he like this?
Nanomachines, son!
Really, that’s most likely why.
I love both this and the original MGS in their own ways. Love for both HK and RK
This is just the VR mission that Raiden plays about the events of mgs1
Good to see you again, Spazbo4. I heard you work for the LongPlay Archive.
Anyway, the VR training that Raiden went through was the VR training from MGS VR Missions for the PS1.
That grenade he threw in the tank barrel took 20 seconds to explode lol
