I didnt get to complete the game before I sold my ps2 to one of my grandpa’s farm worker and got myself a PS3 back then. Never got a chance to buy it again 😢
I know. I wish they would release a "remastered" version of this to the PlayStation Store. They probably won't because of Licensing problems. It kills me I might not get the chance to play this game again. Because I can't just spend every dollar I have on vintage stuff.

Man I never realized how many assets were reused for battle for middle earth like the orcs and goblin. Exact same textures and models. Pretty neat honestly

I remember an ability that either Aragorn or Legolas had in this game where if they aimed the bow long enough the arrow would be set on fire and apply damage over time, but when I last played this game I couldn't find it.
I don’t think that was part of this game, I was obsessed with the bows in this game and I don’t think you could get that. With bow upgrades you could get different colored arrows as you upgraded but nothing that lit up when holding
@@theriverbend It wasn't an upgrade? Maybe it was a cheat code or something, I know I was able to do that while playing this game as a kid, I just don't remember how.
Holy cow, those were amazing games. Younger generations can’t appreciate how shocking it was to get a movie based game that was so fun and well made, complete with the actors and soundtrack from the movie. The levels all looked EXACTLY like the sets/scenes in the movies. Great. I’m gonna have to go download this and Return of the King now, and waste my weekend saving Middle Earth. 😂 🧙♀️

I thought rotk was the only one that included og cast as voices clearly it had a predecessor and I just found out...wow I have fond memories of rotk but thus looks well done too even if it is a leaning abit more on fanservice.

I adored this game as a kid. The way the cut scenes transitioned into gameplay was so cool.
It was on par with Spider-Man 2 as one of the best movie adaption games for the PS2 ever.

I played this game when I was like...around 12. It was amazing then and the memories still are now. :)
Defending the gate on Helms Deep made me so mad as a kid. Starting Saturday morning with a headache was something else.

Love how more aggressive and threatening the orcs are in this game than in the LOTR ROTK, espeically the uruk hai and the shield bearers.
It's why I prefer this game to the ROTK, gameplay at least. Don't forget that they will parry PC attacks too than take all damage.
I think rotk is more polished. Makes more sense to use combos instead of button mashing in this game.
The only problem I see is the lack of saving points in the game. In many instances i had to replay the whole ass mission over and over again
