This is not an April fools day comment. Actually what you have is a very good idea. We had a contest (in the 90’s) in the southern end of the central Valley of California near Bakersfield, an area where there are numerous dairy farms. Mario, the contest, Director love to call almost impossible tasks. One day, where the thermals were not projected to be very good at all, he called a minimum sort of task. All the people that completed it said that essentially all of the thermals were detected by the nose, they didn’t go very high, but they were dependable. The dairy farms would have huge piles of cow excretions usually covered with black plastic and easily seen. They were great heat generators, enough to trigger thermals on a marginal day. I didn’t make it around, but I have found a few thermals with my nasal detector.
And so it starts, gotta love living in NZ and watching the 1st of April videos come rolling through. Love your work Tim.

There is an adapter that dairy farmers are using to reduce methane emissions. It is a rather sophisticated pilot light that is an ignition source that burns methane at the source, near the cow's rear end. The good news is the air becomes an accumulation of bubbling thermals which makes soaring conditions better, particularly in areas with lots of dairy farms, such as the Waikato. Particularly useful in winter.

I was a bit sceptical about PureTrack when I knew there were existing alternatives. This new feature showing climb is proper innovation, and with PureTracks superior telemetry aggregation engine I have to say I was wrong. Awesome product you’ve built Tim!

I mean XCTrack has the climb display for free, it looks a lot worse there but still not really a new idea.

I see you have an app for iPhone. What about android? That would work for me as I have not been able to open it thru Chrome on my phone.
Hi, sorry I don't have resources to make an Android app at the moment. The iPhone app is just a wrapper of the website plus the ability to be a tracker. That's odd it doesn't work in Chrome on your phone, it should obviously work. How old is it? which phone and version of Android and which version of Chrome?
@@PureGlide My phone is a new S24 Ultra and all software is up to date. Chrome worked with PureTrack Pro on my previous phone. It works in basic but when I try logging in it circles back to a download for the app. I will see if I can figure out a work around.

@@PureGlide Hey, I just had an idea. Have you ever considered asking the community to send in all aviation related videos that they have, and you could comment on your favorite ones? Only videos they own though, or they can list the source if they don’t own it.
Preferably nothing where anyone gets seriously hurt though, more so just funny things and moments people can learn from. Sometimes the viewers themselves are the best resource.
