QC still exists, but redstone produces far fewer block updates now. I think I've seen someone say that it's only the blocks that redstone actually powers now, rather than a block or two away in every direction. So you can rely on QC, but you can't rely on running a redstone line next to something QC'd to update it without powering it, you'll need to power a noteblock or similar instead. Ovservers still seem to work with redstone dust as before (but there may be cases that I don't know to check)

And it’s only fully the cooldown method on Java too. But i digress, point is Mojang might make bad updates and piss off some players, but they aren’t *trying* to. If you place down like 300 minecarts and teleport them all into a small 1x1 you can make a minecart slingshot by letting them free :) They also make square grids if you just teleport them into the air
The command functionality of being able to overfill bundles is actually pretty fun. I could see map-makers using this to create a "bag of holding" item.

There is a bit of a difference though. Minecart speed logic treats the tickspeed and minecart speed as a multiplier rather than the actual velocity of the minecart. Because both of those values are signed ints, negative multiplication happens constantly resulting in minecart seisures. SM64 treats Mario's speed value as a signed int with a positive speed cap but no negative speed cap. Negative speed values in SM64 are actually treated as velocity rather than a multiplier. No multiplication happens and therefore, no seisure (except for the camera which cannot go into a PU and freaks out whenever Mario's positional values are out of bounds.)

Yeay, it has pretty much bended time in a way that makes it teleport rapidly, very quickly to the point in which it gets in a quantum state where it is everywhere at the same time due to the rails and the minecart together making the minecart move so fast back and forth that when the minecart is ridden, the rails essentially creates a particle accelerater that causes what I said at the beginning of this statement. Also, I admit it, I'm kind of a nerd. 🤓

As of a recent update, you can change the size of any mob you want using an attribute called "generic.scale". /summon villager ~ ~ ~ {attributes:[{id:generic.scale,base:5}]} will spawn a villager five times the size of a normal adult one.

Thats so insane, i cant belive they actually did something with minecarts let alone add a customizable value. The minecart rotation feels so nostalgic i definitely have to play on it tomorrow. Bundle can show by default the last 5 times and like the mod "shulker tooltip" while pressing control it shows all the items inside the bundle and you can scroll them

i believe you can get the minecarts to higher speeds when there's a mob inside (so when limit is set to 1000, an empty minecart will go slower than one with a mob)

You can do this in older versions using TNT minecarts and a water logged fence post surrounded by unbreakable blocks. If you cap out your entity count inside the fence post using command blocks and then set it off with a trigger such as a flame bow, you can reach similar velocities.
I found that if you try to join a realm, wait a good moment, then play single player, you’ll find that your game gets interrupted by a timeout for realms, yanking you out of gameplay.
would be better if bundles would also scroll through the items as you scroll your mouse wheel so maybe it could even show a single row or two at a time but it would dynamically change as you make your way through!

That isn't normal behavior for java edition and this change breaks almost all large piston doors and many farms. I wish more people were talking about this because if the change sticks it will be disastrous
QC is tech debt but the entire ecosystem depends on it and countless features were never needed because of it, so removing it would force all redstoners to discard like half their builds and completely rework the rest

@@netherdog7127It's a similar situation. Minecarts don't have a negative speed limit (assuming I understood the video correctly), and neither does Mario in SM64. This is also the reason stuff like hyperspeed BLJs (backwards long jumps) are able to exist.
you forgot to mention the redstone randomness change and you can now power things from above by placing redstone on top while before you had to feed it into a block on the side or into the dispenser or whatever u wanted to power, u couldnt directly power from on top. This is huge as you can now make much more compact machines than before.
Randomness is cool, so if the redstone dust from a lever or power output is the same to the inputs for dispensers or pistons, they will be randomly chosen when all is powered. So if you wanted to make a gambling machine, now itd be a lot easier to make.
I've been using bundles with the VanilaTweaks datapack (leather version) in my survival world, and it's been quite nice, but I did experience the problem of not being able to access the older items. I think that Mojang is steering bundles in the right direction, but they could've easily kept the old interface of bundles, and added the scrolling functionality without changing the interface, and maybe made the bundle have a crafting recipe using 6 leather and 2 string, cause the 1 leather 1 string version seems a little too cheap.
When I was younger, that's how I used to think Minecarts worked before I ever used them. I had this idea once I found out you can shift click to place blocks on usable items. I was going to place down a minecart with a block in it, such as a furnace minecart. Then I was going to shift click a block on top of the furnace minecart, then place slime blocks and other blocks to create a plane shape. Then I was going to push it on a straight railroad that would then go downward, then launch the plane up to make it look like it was flying. None of that worked.
The minecart acceleration setup reminds me of the catapults made in Eden - World Builder. Similar concept: acceleration blocks and then something to release you once at max speed.

Thats so insane, i cant belive they actually did something with minecarts let alone add a customizable value. The minecart rotation feels so nostalgic i definitely have to play on it tomorrow. Other changes are cool as well i guess bundles kinda seem like mods but its always like that when they add something new, it just stands out for me. But HOLY CRAP my jaw dropped when i saw proper minecart physics!! The sky is the limit now and i wonder how thats gonna work with like bubble columns now!

Bundle can show by default the last 5 times and like the mod "shulker tooltip" while pressing control it shows all the items inside the bundle and you can scroll them

i believe you can get the minecarts to higher speeds when there's a mob inside (so when limit is set to 1000, an empty minecart will go slower than one with a mob)

You can do this in older versions using TNT minecarts and a water logged fence post surrounded by unbreakable blocks. If you cap out your entity count inside the fence post using command blocks and then set it off with a trigger such as a flame bow, you can reach similar velocities.

I found that if you try to join a realm, wait a good moment, then play single player, you’ll find that your game gets interrupted by a timeout for realms, yanking you out of gameplay.
would be better if bundles would also scroll through the items as you scroll your mouse wheel
so maybe it could even show a single row or two at a time but it would dynamically change as you make your way through!

That isn't normal behavior for java edition and this change breaks almost all large piston doors and many farms. I wish more people were talking about this because if the change sticks it will be disastrous

i don't know what to think about the new redstone torch, at one hand it looks good, but at the other hand the old one just had more dept into it, this is a case of the older one actualy looks better

@@netherdog7127It's a similar situation. Minecarts don't have a negative speed limit (assuming I understood the video correctly), and neither does Mario in SM64. This is also the reason stuff like hyperspeed BLJs (backwards long jumps) are able to exist.

it’s nice that mojang is willing to try crazy new things like minecart particle accelerators and baby squids
you forgot to mention the redstone randomness change and you can now power things from above by placing redstone on top while before you had to feed it into a block on the side or into the dispenser or whatever u wanted to power, u couldnt directly power from on top. This is huge as you can now make much more compact machines than before.
Randomness is cool, so if the redstone dust from a lever or power output is the same to the inputs for dispensers or pistons, they will be randomly chosen when all is powered. So if you wanted to make a gambling machine, now itd be a lot easier to make.
Finally, after like 1 year of forgetting that was ever a problem they fixed it lol

I've been using bundles with the VanilaTweaks datapack (leather version) in my survival world, and it's been quite nice, but I did experience the problem of not being able to access the older items.
I think that Mojang is steering bundles in the right direction, but they could've easily kept the old interface of bundles, and added the scrolling functionality without changing the interface, and maybe made the bundle have a crafting recipe using 6 leather and 2 string, cause the 1 leather 1 string version seems a little too cheap.

When I was younger, that's how I used to think Minecarts worked before I ever used them.
I had this idea once I found out you can shift click to place blocks on usable items.
I was going to place down a minecart with a block in it, such as a furnace minecart. Then I was going to shift click a block on top of the furnace minecart, then place slime blocks and other blocks to create a plane shape. Then I was going to push it on a straight railroad that would then go downward, then launch the plane up to make it look like it was flying.
None of that worked.

The minecart acceleration setup reminds me of the catapults made in Eden - World Builder. Similar concept: acceleration blocks and then something to release you once at max speed.
