I have to say hearing this interview changed my opinion of Gabe. I never disliked him at all, but I also didn’t understand this hype that he got from everyone as this massive threat that had to do, especially with players like Kyle, Genevieve, etc still around.. Gabe articulated his game very well and I now wish he had stayed longer! I hope he does return he was a lot of fun and I wish him all the best!
every answer from gabe was smart and well thought of and really showed his strategy throughout the game. gabe was definitely one of the smarter players of this cast, and i guess that really shows how much of a threat he was. people are saying it's unlikely he'll return for 50, but i believe he has as much of a chance as players like genevieve, kyle, teeny, and even rome. and one thing about gabe that i respect is he came in wanting to play like a villain, and i truly respect villains in this game. and gabe didn't disappoint for me, so hats off to you gabe
I think Gabe was a good player but he should consider this as a one time experience. The person they will bring back is someone like Sol who is very popular with the fans
Absolutely loved Gabe, so nice to have a dominant strategic presence on the show again, he’s clearly got a great mind for the game and I’d love to see him on a future survivor season or any type of reality Comp show in the future
Gabe has an excellent mind for the game and was probably very downplayed in the edit because he ultimately did not win - but if you look beyond the TV product he was in an excellent position with the tightest alliance in the game. I for one would be very happy to see him back!!
I think he is very survivor savvy. He had great insight and seemed aware of everything. His real downfall came from threat level and lacking people who would ride or die with him
I didnt know to feel about Gabe for most of the season but he is a great player and I thought he had alot to offer. Kind of won me over in the last few episodes.
Ok here's what it is; Gabe obviously is a THINKER, and in his mind has done a lot of contemplation for the game. So in his mind, he's got the makings of a survivor legend. And I think he had the potential to be legendary this season. The problem is that he never really had a chance to do a lot being in such a dominant tribe, and so he didn't come across as particularly "legendary". That's where the fan base blowback is coming from.
I wasn’t really seeing Gabe’s path throughout the game, but I do think he was right in that, had he survived this week, he likely had a clear shot to the end. Final 8 with 4 Tuku, he probably could have roped in Teeny or Andy to target Sam or Rachel at 8, and then ride with a majority to final 4. Maybe Caroline would have turned on him, or maybe he would have lost fire to Kyle, but the path was there, and he did a good job creating that path. He just needed more of an anti-Genevieve movement this week
Imo Gabe didn’t have to do much this season. He made one strong majority alliance in the good swing spot-then didn’t have to veer from that all game. No fuss no muss

I went on a whole journey with what I thought about Gabe! There were times when I thought he would definitely be in the final 3, and might even win... but I didn't want him to because I didn't like him! 😆 It's part of the game I know, but I didn't like how he seemed to be quite nakedly manipulating people in a totally detached way, which made me like him less (I did start out rooting him a lot more than I ended up). I do think he's crazy smart though and knows the game well, and was playing a really good game, and it IS a shame to see him go. Loved his interview (this boosted him in my eyes again!) and I hope to see him on another Survivor season for sure :)
i think he'd be very adaptable in a second chance season. gabe is aware of the mistakes he made, like getting a huge threat like tk out early, and also not fully reassuring his connection with caroline. he sees those mistakes, and i believe he has the capability to re-adjust his game to make him less of a threat and get him even further, possibly to the end

Let me say that Gabe is an Arnold Terminator fan. I'll be back... for what ? Gabe meant to be in the jury in the next episode, I think. Rome is a school kid bully kinda guy, all talk but no action. On the other hand, Andy like he claims is a smiling assassin indeed. He is far more dangerous that Boston Rob and Tony Vlachos back in their seasons. He is the snake but Teeny got the title for no apparent reason. Good play by Sue and Caroline for laying low. Gabe and Kyle were gunning for each other's throats. Genevieve may feel the heat next I think. Giving up the shot in the dark must be the highlight of this season that's going to bite someone very hard.
he was one of them though. as sam put it, gabe was the head of the tuku tribe, but kyle is still a bigger threat due to his 4 challenge wins. and now they've gotten rid of the only person that has beat kyle in a challenge. the only other person that could stack up against him is sue, but the only challenge she's won was with kyle. the rest of these players better step up their physical games, cause kyle could easily run away with it

Seems like Sierra and Sol can't stand each other. They looked so frozen on the jury bench watching what's happening in front of them. Seems like Sol got a hard time at Ponderosa and Sierra went to sleep by the time Sol reached there after his eviction. Haha. Hope Gabe will release the tensions there

I disagree, he played a good game, not amazing but probably the best game out of everyone who’s gone so far, leader of the Tukus, ride or die ally in Sue, made most of the strategic decisions, well liked by everyone (on the show)

Gabe played a very good game. And I liked his answers here in this interview with Rob. The problem with him was the way he talked about people and how he tried very hard to seem like a villain. But he didn't have the charisma and persona for it. It felt very forced. I think if he didn't have the protagonist and villain syndrome, people would have liked him better.
The first time I've felt decent about Gabe. Still think he's mid. But this was a great interview and appreciated honesty, authenticity, and intrigue.
