Woodchester was a great place for a photo walk! Reccomend a location in your local area (no matter where you are in the world!) for an interesting photo walk that may inspire other photographers! Thanks for watching. 😊
I love Woodchester Park, go quite a lot, went the other day as autumn is on its way but nice to walk round any time of year really, nice Pics by the way 👍
Another fantastic video and photos! I am not sure which photo is my favorite. 🤔 I love the gnarly tree photo, but I am also drawn to the photos of the boat house. Oh and then we have the Mallard ducks! Tough call! 😀
I got so excited when I saw that tree 😂 I was quite over tired at that point and the light was dropping fast but I couldn't miss the opportunity. Thanks very much David! 🖖
Gorgeous area to explore, really loved the colourful autum foliage. My fav shot was “Chenging colours” & of course the mallard hehe. Wildlife🐮🙈lol Great chilled vlog as always. Awesome😀
Hoping to get a bit more into wildlife in the future! I didn't see much else around apart from the Mallards but then I suppose I'm not in that wildlife photography state of mind yet 😂 thanks Peter!
Have landed here from RUclips recommendation. Happy for it because the video is awesome. What a beatufyul place. If it was here (Spain) it would be full of trash, for sure. So tiring. If you visit that pond again pay attention because it seems to be a perfect place to find a kingfisher. Regards.
Oh welcome to the channel haha! 😁 I wonder if they have people to maintain this location or maybe people are just very considerate because it is actually very clean. It's such a shame when a beautiful place is ruined with trash. I'll definitely keep that in mind! A Kingfisher would be a great shot. Thanks for watching!
What a beautiful place to photograph Courtney, such variety! The little boathouse fascinated me but you have come away with a collection of lovely images. Have a good Sunday!
A fantastic place to walk around! I'd say I only managed about half of the area as well that day. Keen to explore the other half! The boat house facinated me too, I can see myself going back there in future as the seasons change to see what other shots I can get. Thanks so much for watching Adrian, hope you had a great weekend 👍
Looks. Lovely location especially in Autumn I presume the mansion is not accessible for a wander. Loved your first two images and the one of the little house great colour work
By the time I'd wandered over to the mansion there wasn't anyone around to ask if I could explore inside. Perhaps another time, it looks as though it could be interesting! Glad you liked the images, David. Thanks very much.
you seem to pull a great composition out of thin air. I must try harder you have a great eye. the more of your vlogs I watch the more I think I should re visit some of your locations as I live and grew up near many of them, im loving your easy going style 👍👍👍
Afer a minute oir so I had to stop the video to see where it was.. interesting looking place and somewhere I can use my NT crad to park I assume? Not that far from me either. I will contest your shakiest hands in creation statement... mine have and always been terrible, lol. Like the way you compile your videos, it flows along at a nice pace and even when doing bits to camera the b-roll is always to the point. I liked the "chaotic pond"... it needed a pano too though I thought? Another enjoyable watch. atb Al
wow what a place for a walk specially in the fall, I would have taken a few hundred of photos beautiful photos and gorgeous place...enjoy and stay safe ❤️
I was very disappointed the ginger bread man didn't make the journey 😂 thanks Adrian, glad that the Autumn colours finally came out a little more. I was worried we wouldn't get much colour before the leaves dropped. Cheers 👍😊
The path to the boathouse - great shot, and the one over the water of it (towards the end of the vid) too. That’s an interesting place for a walk around, I suppose a similar one in my neck of the woods would be a place called Dunham Massey, although it isn’t abandoned!
Interesting place , have spent a lot of time in and around the Cotswolds but never been there. Will visit next time in area. I tend to hand hold most of the time now since switching from Nikon to Fuji. The XT 4 IBIS is brilliant and only use a tripod when absolutely necessary . Liberating not having to fiddle with tripod. Enjoyed the video and photos.
A great place to explore, I'd definitely recommend it to those who enjoy a good walk and nice scenery. Nice, it can definitely be a bit of a pain to set up with a tripod. I don't mind it too much but I think I'm more likely to explore composition ideas when hand held. Thanks Iain, hope you had a great weekend 👍
Great video Courtney! The images by the chaotic pond were so painterly, I loved them, you really captured the mood of the scene beautifully! Autumns here in Edinburgh (Scotland in general) are great, especially compared to how the trees look now in the winter. Keep up the good work!
Hi, I discovered this vlog today. You take really nice shots and that location has a wonderful Thomas Kinkade feel which you captured very well. I also have a D750 and I love it. I’ve watched a few of your videos and I enjoy your channel. I’ve just subscribed 🙂.
Hi Courtney. New sub here, attracted by locations I recognise (here and Castle Combe). Woodchester is a great place for walks with a camera. I tried a while back and just couldn't get the shot I wanted of the boat house from the other side with reflection because the shrubs were so overgrown. It's been on my list to go back for a while now. Try Lacock when you get a chance, and it has the advantage of not having that steep climb back to the car park!
Your video inspired me to visit this location when I was passing through the county last week. I spent a very pleasant 2 or 3 hours there - and ended up with some images of the boathouse which are very similar images to yours which shouldn’t really be a surprise to me. The walk back up hill to the car nearly killed me though. I then stopped at Coaley Peak for lunch. My goodness it was breezy up there.
The homes of US Presidents Thomas Jefferson and James Madison are not far from my town. Both are situated on grounds with kept gardens as well as undisturbed old growth forest. Great wandering and photography all year long though I prefer autumn the most.
Ah that boathouse…… When i learnt had to use a camera properly a shot of that building was one of my first great shots. I then spent off and on another three months post processing the shot.
A very beautiful location indeed. A couple of questions you may have already answered, do you shoot in raw or jpeg, and do you concern yourself with white balance? Thanks.
Hi Courtney I just wanted to say I find your photography amazing. I need to get up and out again but I’ve just had an operation on my arm so watching you take the photos is inspiring me to get better and get out there. God bless
Awesome as always!! Do you prefer the Tamron 100-400 or the lens you’re using here? (Couldn’t tell what it was). I’m looking to buy one and really appreciate your input 😊
I am sure you have been asked many times, but I notice you have "VR" turned off on your main lens. For someone who says they "have the shakiest hands in creation", would this not be helpful?

Morning. Love autumn big maples fan.

Love that mansion what a photo opportunity

My area has very little in old buildings. Love Woodchester. Love your videos. Hi from Sandpoint, Idaho USA.
Perfect photo
Thank you! Happy you liked the photos 👍😁
That boathouse was awesome but the tree at 6:18 was my favourite. I am a sucker for a gnarly old tree after all😜
Great video as always🖖
I got so excited when I saw that tree 😂 I was quite over tired at that point and the light was dropping fast but I couldn't miss the opportunity. Thanks very much David! 🖖
@@CourtneyVictoria Yeah, the excitement was perfectly captured in the video 😂 and with that light I totally understand it👍

I still have my 2015 D750. In fact i will never get rid of it. Its the last phenomenal camera nikon ever made that is affordable.
Beautiful records. I liked the Autumn Path photo. Congratulations!

and as always, awesome photos. nice to see that the ducks aren't afraid...
Love the Boathouse and Great Tree pictures👍
Thanks Kevan! I think they could make great prints too, especially the boat house.
Delightful
Fantastic images. I just found your channel and I am enjoying your videos. Thank you for sharing.
Loved the ducks, they came so close up too, i get carried away with trees and like you, I must learn to shoot more of different things.
Just a beautiful walk.I am so jealous,we have no woodlands that come close to this in my area.Thank u for sharing it all with us!
That place is really really beautiful
It is another Autumn.. I like your picture.

Throughout the entire video I just kept thinking that might be the most beautiful hair I’ve ever seen.
wow what a place for a walk specially in the fall, I would have taken a few hundred of photos beautiful photos and gorgeous place...enjoy and stay safe ❤️
Woodchester and the surrounding areas are great for taking photos I'm a local photographer and great photos
Just scrolling through your vids and found this one with the ducks. I love duck pics lol and have taken a few myself. Thank you for shareing.
Hi that was a really good video for me to watch as from the 13 Dec we might be there so hoping there will still be some colours in the trees
Very serene and tranquil... Love it! You should do Sky Replacement for those gray skies. It would make your wonderful photos POP!
A beautiful place and captured very adroitly …
Great shots Courtney. That ginger bread man had no chance haha! Thanks for sharing the video and adventure out. I do like that time of year there 👍🙏
I was very disappointed the ginger bread man didn't make the journey 😂 thanks Adrian, glad that the Autumn colours finally came out a little more. I was worried we wouldn't get much colour before the leaves dropped. Cheers 👍😊
Autumn is coming Victoria. Come to Italy, to enjoy our beautiful fall locations ...
Loved the video, this is my second watching. Such a great idea to have a photo walk. Love your enthusiasm, keep up the good work.

Courtney, the photographs were beautiful, simple, and very beautifully framed. Can I know the nikon lens you are using in this video?
A very beautiful location indeed. A couple of questions you may have already answered, do you shoot in raw or jpeg, and do you concern yourself with white balance? Thanks.

really good :)
I see I'm not the only one that takes a bunch of tree pictures.
❤️

Filters are fine but a lens hood provides the most protection.
Between 24-120 and 16-35 which lens do you use more ?
I am sure you have been asked many times, but I notice you have "VR" turned off on your main lens. For someone who says they "have the shakiest hands in creation", would this not be helpful?
