    I have the SL premium package I put like 10k on it already. I use it to commute to work I love it. Its quiet and smooth and a good family hauler. The transmission feels great and it has a luxury feel.

      I found especially in cold damp and wet weather the electronic door locking does not always respond very well. I had times where it did not work. Some doors may work while others not. On dry days I have no issues with the electronic touch door locking. As for myself, I preferred the mechanical physical switch for the doors as like I had on the previous Murano vehicles. I had no issues with these in any type of weather.

    Just bought a 2023 Pathfinder Platinum this June 2/23, Canadian bought. Absolutely love the vehicle and the award-winning seats are second to none for comfort. Have the same chestnut interior. Absolutely gorgeous with the premium leather. My retirement bucket list has one less item now.

    I like my Platinum trim Pathfinder as well. Certainly not as roomy as my old Atlas, but much more premium feel. I love all the tech you get and it's a masculine exterior which I love. This blows the outgoing model out of the water.

    SL owner for 2.5 months.4K miles. Overall, I really like the vehicle. A couple things I dislike. 1) you should be able to permanently disable the auto/stop in the system settings instead of having to push the button every time you start the vehicle. The auto stop is annoying when parking in a garage and trying to creep forward. 2) For towing, you shouldn't have to toggle through the system settings to shut off the emergency rear braking. If the vehicle is in tow mode, it should disable it automatically. 3) There is a noticeable lag when stomping on the gas to pass someone. All of these are minor dislikes and could probably be fixed by Nissan pretty easily.

      I noticed the same thing when I tried to fit the car with tight spaces in the garage. I noticed also if you switch from eco to standard driving the problem goes away.

    I have the 2022 Pathfinder Platinum 4WD. Terrific in the winter snow storms, and also for parking in snow where ordinary cars and some other types of SUVs would not be able to park. For the winter months I put on 18 inch alloy wheels with heavy duty off road type mud/snow tires. As for off road this type of SUV is really a medium to light duty. It is more of an urban type SUV. The ground clearance especially for the front and rear trims is not good for difficult terrain off road driving. By far this vehicle is not an all terrain. If someone wants to have a vehicle that can do real off road driving it would be best to get a Wrangler or a Rubicon and put on a decent all terrain package.
    From my perspective this Pathfinder is a terrific urban type SUV that can go through heavy winter storms, drive on back roads, and have excellent comfort. I moved up from a Murano Platinum AWD 2016. During the winter months with the Murano I also put on the heavy duty mud/snow tires on 18 inch alloy wheels. It performed very well in the winter months. I like the Pathfinder for its size, and comfort. To me it's like someone took a Murano and made if bigger. The Pathfinder is 2.5 inches wider and about a few feet longer. It is also a bit heavier.
    I have been using the Pathfinder with Android Auto. I had to remove the app from the phone and use it basic. Android Auto was giving me a lot of issues. Not the fault of Nissan. The faults I was having was from the Android Auto software.
    With the screen of the Pathfinder I found sometimes it would lock up (freeze) on the cameras. The only fix I know is to turn off the engine of the Pathfinder, and then open and close the driver's door to cycle the power to the cameras. Then the screen would unlock. This bug is very random and may not happen for some days at a time. Apparently Nissan is aware of this bug, and there is supposed to be a software fix coming for this.
    I bought the Pathfinder in early September. Since then for some of the Pathfinders depending on the serial number there was a software upgrade to be installed by the dealer. My Pathfinder had to be done. This update improved the response for the accelerator to be more ideal. It also fixed the sift points in the transmission to make it more smooth for when normal driving.
    As for the sport mode, I tried it a few times on dry road. It does make the vehicle more responsive and will allow for greater rate of acceleration with smaller movement on the accelerator. It also runs the transmission for best performance gear ratios. It also runs in a mode for greater fuel flow rate in relation of the accelerator position, and timing advance where it is most efficient for performance than for compromise for fuel economy. For my type of driving I found the Auto mode to be the best for me. As for the Eco mode, you may save about 5% to 7% on fuel, but it takes the fun out of driving the vehicle. The transmission and system operates for best possible fuel economy and lowering the performance of the vehicle.
    I found if using premium octane of fuel in the Pathfinder the response is better, fuel economy improved a bit, and the vehicle feels like it has more power. As it turns out when using high octane fuel the engine can work with more timing advance, and there is a bit more torque from the engine. It was the same for the Murano I had, and other Nissan vehicles that I drove. I use premium octane fuel only in my vehicles. I was told unofficially by someone who is an automobile technologist who works on these engines the premium high octane fuel will allow for a bit better than 25HP and more torque from the 3.5L engine. This will not do any damage to the motor or transmission. As for the type of driving I do I am very easy on my vehicles. I avoid fast starts off the line, and avoid hard cornering. I use premium fuel because I found the fuel economy improved and I especially like the response better.
    Between the Infinity and the Pathfinder mechanically and electrically they are the identical vehicle. It is mainly the trim that is slightly different. The price of the Pathfinder Platinum is nearly the same as the Infinity version of it. The Infinity dealer will charge about 10% more for the parts and labour for servicing the Infinity version. Insurance is about 10% more expensive on the Infinity. After investigating both I chose the Pathfinder Platinum 4WD between them.

      Extremely helpful post. Thank you!! Few questions: did the camera freeze bug get fixed? Any other issues after 10 months of living with it? Which 18” wheels did you get for your snow tires? Nissans? Is there a fix for the wind noise when pano sunroof is open? Thanks again for your generous time if you have time to answer my post! :)

    1. The incandescent lights can be swapped to LED bulbs fairly easily.
    2. I love the auto off feature, but in stop and go traffic I actually turn it off.
    3. If you click the sunroof to open it will open the moon roof automatically to the half point before it auto opens the sunroof.

      The only trim that has the digital gauge cluster is the Platinum trim. There are two modes of graphics that you can use. When I got my Pathfinder last July, it was one of the first ones off the assembly line so there were no extras for it. The LED option I have not heard of but the Platinum I have has the ambient lighting standard but only comes with one color. (soft white) I love it! If there's an option for an LED option, I would go for it! Thanks for watching and support! : )

    Big complaint I have is cleaning the windshield driving on the highway in the winter. The wipers push the fluid to the driver side as they should but the fluid doesn’t doesn’t get trapped completely and spills across to the drivers window. It streaks across and eventually obstructs the drivers side mirror which I feel is a safety hazard. My dealer says nothing can be done at this time.

    I have had my 2022 for a year. We notice that after a cold start, after shifting from reverse to drive and start driving, it’s a pretty noticeable jerk when shifting to what I assume is 2nd gear. After that it doesn’t do it while the driving. Anyone else experience this? Possible fix? Dealership reset the transmission and it stopped for a month or so now it’s doing it again.

    I must be the only one who finds these vehicles noisy. Every bump or crack in the road translates to annoying sounds in the Pathfinder. I had high hopes for the Pathfinder having owned several Nissans in the past. Toyota 4Runner was way quieter as well as the Highlander Subaru Ascent and Honda pilot. I even took out a different one to see if maybe it was just an isolated incident, but nope. I am currently driving an eight year old ram that's way quieter.

    When you start the car up cold, after sitting for overnight, does the engine sound loud / noisy for maybe 30 seconds ? you have to be outside of the car.

    • @c.a.r.7393
      @c.a.r.7393  2 года назад

      Yes, it does, but once it's warm, it purrs like a kitten☺ All cold starts arriving usually loud after an overnighter from most vehicles. Except EV's!

    • @jerryg50
      @jerryg50 2 года назад

      I found the same thing on my Pathfinder. When starting cold on vehicles the air intake opens a vent that pulls air from the surface of the exhaust manifold using it as a heat exchanger to allow for quicker warming of the engine. Once the temperature reaches a certain point this vent closes and thus the air intake is only from the outside air. When this vent is open the air intake makes a resonating noise. This was the explanation given to me about why the Pathfinder is noisy when first started.
      I also found with the heater/AC fan inside of the vehicle at a specific air velocity rate there may sometimes be a very slight whistling sound. The air velocity has to hit a specific speed for this to happen. Being computer controlled the air velocity change rate is very linear.
      When standing in front of the vehicle or on the sides toward the front, and if you put your ears in the right position you can hear some ticking noises while the engine is idling. You are hearing the fuel injectors operate. The fuel injectors operate with an on/off type of operation.
      I was amazed at how quiet the Pathfinder is while inside with the windows rolled up. The sound proofing is amazing on this vehicle.

      @spartus56996 2 года назад

      @@jerryg50 Thanks for the reply, Im noticing everything you have mentioned. I have to look at that air intake system, just to see how it works. The car is very quiet, except for the slight whistling sound from the heater blower, overall a very nice car.

    Does your steering wheel vibrate at idle a little? I have a 22 frontier and it idles about 600 rpm and the steering wheel,center console,dash,the body of the truck etc vibrates at idle. I cant stand it ..i hope its a bad motor mount or vaccum leak or something that they find soon bc so far its "everyrhings good,they all vibrate so I dunno,have a good day" and im about to drive this thing through one of their dealerships windows and say "everythings fine,it happens,have a good day"

      Lol...I hear your pain! My steering wheel is fine, no vibrations at all. Just to keep in mind, you can take it to any Nissan dealer. It doesn't have to be the one where you purchased it from. Every dealer has different Techs and you can luck out and get a outstanding Tech in another dealer that can solve your problem. Good luck! Let me know if they solved the vibration problem. • @c.a.r.7393

      I do not have this issue at all. Do you place your hand on the shifter while driving? Tons of people love driving that way. ( I'm one of them...lol) The shifter can go into neutral that way. If not, take it to the Nissan dealer to access the problem. Usually, it's a reprogramming of the computer that can fix that. That is unusual. Thanks for viewing!

      It could be normal because the car is still new and the noise might go away once the car breaks in. My manager had some noise on his for the first few day and it went away. I just bought SV premium and I love it. The only think I dislike about it is the auto shut off.
