On E85, or on pump 93 with some bolt ons, they run high 11's. They are ridiculous. Those Ecoboost are amazingly mod friendly. My '15 Edge Sport has the 2.7 twin turbo(the Explorer has the 3.0L), and it runs 12.9's spinning all four wheels like crazy, on just a tune. I have a '20 Explorer 2wd with the 2.3l and it is fast! Sam you could have had the Pathfinder every time from the dig but he got you on the launches. I prefer the Explorer mostly because of the RWD layout over the Pathfinders FWD for the base models and the economy I get is so far better than the Pathfinders. I almost got the Telluride until I found out that the Explorer was RWD and had a more power 4 cycled engine with better fuel economy then the Telluride. I enjoy my Pathfinder, I have a 2019.
    I bought it with 50,000 miles.
    I use it for work,with the 3rd row laid flat it hauls my tools, comfortably.
    I have a 2022 ram 4x4 but the fuel economy with the path finder I drive it most of the day.
    Keeps miles off my ram and is nimble enough to park on tight streets.
    I found I like it so much I want to buy a 4x4 version,the front wheel drive takes getting used to.
    My Ram has the 4 auto mode and comes in handy with heavy rain.
    I like the Rock Creek but my Ram has great ground clearance and all the off road accessories.thinking about a S or SV 4x4 actually the S has a lot of teck, and can avoid a crash.
    I like the way Nissan at the starting module still gives you everything you need.

    I have a 2019 pathfinder for work,and a 2022 Ram back country edition with performance exhaust and a all wheel drive option.
    When i bought the pathfinder I got a great deal.
    I was thinking gonna be slow, but for work.
    Its not slow especially from 20 mph on past 60 so passing is fine.
    It could not out preform my Ram because I chose the quad cab for weight.
    I can recommend a used pathfinder mine is a 2019 with 50,000 miles and it is perfect for cargo confort and parking.
    Matter of fact had a nut pull out crossing two lanes in traffic.
    All i could see was the back of another suv i was about to hit.
    Bufore I hit breaks the pathfinder hit breaks turned wheel to right and avoided a crash.
    I love my pickup but you have to like a lot any vehicle that keeps you out of a broadside collision.

      You should try racing them!! I have a 2019 Pathfinder and a 2020 Ram limited. One day me and the friend were coming back from picking up my pathfinder from maintenance. I was driving my ram and he was driving my pathfinder and we decided to race them just for fun. From a Stop my ram would beat the pathfinder 3 times but from a roll I was surprised my god dam pathfinder beat my ram 4 times😂 not gonna lie kind of hurt to see my V8 getting beat by 6 Cylinder 😂 but then again the Ram is a lot heavier and less aerodynamic

    *edit* after watching - I maintain the 3.5 VQ with only 284 HP output is underpowered for the size of the vehicle.

    • @haroldbeauchamp3770
      @haroldbeauchamp3770 Год назад +1

      The VQ is tuned to 284 HP in this model. The same VQ has 300 HP in the Maxima. Nissan detuned the VQ quite drastically for their suvs. There’s several VQ folks in blogs that I follow that have tuned it to over 500 HP on stock intervals. The VQ is widely known as being underrated.

      @haroldbeauchamp3770 Год назад

      @@justinhuddleston4625 I’m not sure what your point is that “he’s in a base”? If by base you mean the 2.3T engine, that’s the point. The Explorer 2.3T has more HP and significantly more torque than the VQ. 300 HP and 310 TQ vs the Nissans 284 HP and 259 TQ. They both are very similar in weight, with the lowest trim Explorer weighing in roughly 100lbs lighter than the Pathfinder. On paper the Explorer should beat the Pathfinder with a notable advantage in performance. However, as you can see, the weaker, heavier Pathfinder excels. In reality engine enthusiasts know that Nissan underrated the VQ which is why we see such a strong performer.
