Interesting to see what razer have become now. They are definitely listening to customer. I remember long time ago, i used to prefer steelseries peripherals as opposed to razer's. But nowadays i think razer pulls ahead in terms of improvements for their peripherals.
Hey man. Thanks for the review. It's amazing. I just got mine today. :) I have one issue. Color sync. So for example, when I set 'Static' color mode, and set orange. whole keyboard is Orange except side lights and media button, they are different. The same goes for few more colors. Do you have the same issue? Best regards!
Great review! I'm not against Razer as a brand (I've owned a Razer 14 laptop/ peripherals in the past), but I can't justify the price : features these big name boards are selling for. I'm sure it's to make up for mass production but if I can find a cheaper alternative I'm all for it. The only time I'd pay $150-200+ for a keyboard/ mouse is if the device itself is really premium rich or offers some S-Tier warranty/ customer support.
I totally agree, i the biggest downside is the price for the type of board you get. I do think they can do better and i do wonder how they will take the direction of their boards in the future.
So I'm brand new to keyboards and am working on building my first board as a present for a friend. Your channel has been extremely helpful in the learning process and I'm having a lot of fun with this new hobby because of it. Keep up the good work! I did have one question relating to your comment about aluminum - Is the feel / sound something only an enthusiast would notice or do you think that it can be appreciated by all? I sprung for a barebones Monsgeek M1W as a starting point based on aesthetic as well as feature set and the gasket mounting. I was thinking I would bring along my current and first mechanical, which happens to be my work keyboard (RK61 w/ browns), to give him a frame of reference when I do give him the completed build.
I personally think that the sound is very easily noticed even by someone new to the hobby. I think just more a lot of people dont have a chance to compare them side by side and so a lot of people dont think about it. The Monsgeek M1W is honestly such a good choice for a budget beginner keyboard thats aluminum and tri-mode.
@@keybound Awesome! That makes me feel way cozier about my decision to start there. The amount of options has been daunting to say the least lol. Thanks for the reply!
Hey friend! It seems like a pretty nice board, but I'm not gonna spend that much on a Razer. But I would for a Keychron. I need that weight and all aluminum frame too. I just bought my dad a Keychron C1 so I'll do a budget board video with that and I got him his first Mac too, he's got a great Christmas on the horizon. See ya next time!
I have the black one and I love it, including the sound. (it's my first "custom" keyboard). One thing I don't like is when the RGB is turned off, and in some situations it is: you have a stealth keyboard, the keys are not really visable.
Solid review and to the point .. hard to find a mature keyboard review without all the jokes and nonsense 😂 .. love the mod as well, those keycaps really made for a cotton-candy aesthetic!
Great video been looking at this keyboard for a while love the sound it makes for it being just a non custom keyboard seems like razed is listening to the community
Razer gaming keyboard is notoriously known as repeated Key inputs early as two months usage. V4 has the same issue as v4 pro and v3. I guess you need your own premium switches just incase those cheap yellow switches are broken. At $199 , you get crappy keycaps and cheap switches. I would rather go for zoom 65 or more other brand.
i find it funny when people that build their keyboards only talk about the keyboard being expensive like they dont spend 500 on one
Nice video! What key caps you used? they are so lovely
just a cheap set from Amazon. you can definetly find better on Etsy or other sites that look as good if not better.
stumble on this video while lubing and holey modding my stabilizer. good video to listen to. thank you and keep up the good work.
Been a fan of Razer Keyboards for awhile, had my v1 ever since it's release!

Can you share link to key caps? Thanks so much

its very expensive and honestly there are a lot of keyboards out there that are better for the same price or less

This is the first Razer keyboard in a while that might actually be worth owning.
polly fill can short out your keyboard o.o and collect bugs and dirt
