lol I meant that mostly in the sense that you have to pay for literally everything that most boards will just give you (stabz, cable etc.) and that its quite high priced. Overall still amazing keyboards in my opinion.
@@keybound okok. I feel ya on that. I would however say that Mode as a whole is like Porsche, not particularly the mode envoy. Their new mode sixtyfive really proving your point here with those brass bottom cases costing over $200 alone.
@@0xBULLgogi Yeah thats a fair take i think. And i think more of what i was really going for but i could have been clearer. But yeah the new SuxtyFive is really nice but the price point is a bit of a turn off
Top row sounds kinda weak? Is that you felt? Normally those are some of the better rows for sound I think, and I don’t know how I'd feel if my backspace lacked oomph. It's another reason I prefer 2u R1 backspace to R2 pipe location backspace. The extra stabilizer really adds some more heft, albeit at the cost of needing to prep and tune it, but that's not a big deal I don’t really care about the function row being a little weaker, so using only 2 of the mounting posts up top could change the sound, but I don’t know how it would be that
I do agree the numbers did sound a bit weak. I'd say the major downside to the board is the inconsistent sound profile that it has across it. You get the best tone from most of the center of the board but the corners and edges all sound a bit dull. But that being said, its a fantastic typing experience and the quality of the build really overshadows the inconsistent sound.
The Porsche of KBs? mmmmmm
Great review!
LOL bro, did you call the mode envoy the Porsche of keyboards?!?!?! foreal!? lol.
It's a great keyboard and pretty underrated but sheeeesh

@@keybound well at least the alphas do sound bonkers good!
@@jammies701 They really do!
If only mode would support split spacebars
nice vid mate. Dunno how I feel about "block mount" marketing, but it does seem interesting to use
its very interesting and feels very different from a standard tadpole mount or gasket mount.
@@keybound it's the marketing I don't like, although I can't really say why. I'm sure the feel is decent at worst, and great even possibly
