As someone with an Envoy, one of my friends linked me this today while I was at work (because I didn't check my email). I don't think I'll be picking one up personally. Definitely a beautiful board though, and has the nice sound design expected from a Mode board. Not because I don't want to, but because I've built 4 boards already this year and I'm waiting for the Polaris v2 GB...that and I'm broke from building 4 boards this year. Glad to see Mode is coming down in price though.
Such a great key layout but for one thing. Why couldn't they put the Backspace where the \| is? We hit that key like 1000x every day so why reach for it? And CapsLock is supposed to be Ctrl.
Good review. Just a few small comments. It would be great if you included more descriptions. At the beginning of the sound test include basic build specs. Also, in the video description include full specifications. It's a nice touch and makes it easy to replicate the build and locate components. I know it's all from the mode website, but it helps a lot. I don't know a lot about keyboards, I have a question why doesn't it have a control key? And are those type of custom keyboards go good for gaming? What would you recommend for a gaming keyboard for less than 150$?
