Can Clicky Switches Thock?? - GMMK Pro 2
Work on the background and light , take a inspiration from bigger RUclipsrs . You have a nice calm voice it’s a plus code a lot of loud idiots od net ;) keep up the good work and don’t give up 🦾✌🏾
I'm super late to this video but I got the same keyboard and my switches have a hard time staying connected to the board - they literally just keep popping back out from time to time. But i got it for $29 on Ali so I'm not sure if I want to complain about it a lot. lol
This 66Pro Keyboard have Updated the Snap Tap(SOCD) Features in the BOYI Software. Implement Snap Tap Functionality that Gives a Huge Advantage in Game! 🔥
How do you get access to it I kept checking and can’t figure it out
how do i update the new software? because i can not find SOCD
the switches are latenpow magnetic strawberry switches
No because the software is a virus
Did you mean you download BOYI66Pro software then the computer think the software is the a virus when installed? And if the software was first installed,The computer will regard the software was new and virus. Please have a try just feel free to use it. Many of out customer has use it without issue:) If you have any issues or concern, please feel free to email us:)❤
Solution to a problem that did not exist
Not that hard to make a better keyboard than a wooting, it's harder to make a better software tho.
why u lying about ur gear
what a hand bro..
Had a friend who recently purchased it and it seems like a communal issue with their switches is that they have a leafy sounding spring when it bottoms out, and they noticed with prolonged use that the housing begins to wear down and requires eventual replacement :( Sounds great though for a prebuilt keyboard.
ah thats too bad, i did have some concerns about the long term use of the board. However i do think its still very much worth it as it sounds great and feels great to use especially for the price
@@keybound Yeah it does sound great for price. Btw, I recently made a keyboard that sounds great (75%) and super thocky but i'm struggling to find good looking white keycaps that are in stock and not super expensive (not trying to spend 60$ for keycaps). Could you make a video for budget keycap options? I would really appreciate it since I haven't seen many videos :)
@@martou4665 thats a great idea! i'll try to put something together in the next few weeks. That being said i recommend checking out the keycaps provided by keychron on their website. I find their keycaps to be of pretty good quality for the price (under 40$) and they offer both double shot ABS as well as Dye Sub PBT.
wait wdym cyz i bouta buy it
@@moaznagiub3225 i think its worth the purchase, after using it for a few more weeks i think there might just be a bit of inconsistency per item as mine has been fine and i havnt heard much extra noise from the switches.
What's the difference between t669 and t669 pro 3, for example? Rgb, mute button, and monitoring output? As I know, the only major change is - 34db/-40db difference between condenser / and minor condenser in pro. Both are cardioid, both are usb. Pro 1/2/3 just have small quality of life changes? Would pro be any better? I have an opportunity to buy regular or pro, both for around $35 where I live. There's so little info on pro 3, especially the diaphragm size, I can't even decide...
yeah theres been almost no information on the newest Pro3 and the best i can see is that it just adds RGB and a slight improvement on the microphone itself. What that improvement is i'm not too sure. That being said, i would say go for the pro if its going to be about the same price for you.
Yo, that is terrible for the stabilizer? (That statement is highly subjective) For me sounds good, have you only used high end premium keyboards or something?
no, i just prefer stabilizers that dont rattle. I like a smooth consistent sound
Hi @KeyBound, do you know if we can lube the Keychron Pro Red Switch? or is it even worth it?
You can totally lube those switches. However i actually find keychron switches to be decently lubed from factory so personally i dont really see too much point in doing it yourself.
The woods you chose for your desk are just lovely. Nicely done.
where do you buy the switch remover
I am no mod expert. Why did you apply this blue tape on the board?
Are there any latency issues with this kit? Is it good enough to game with?
I also like Nuphy better but I feel like the Keychron Q series is a better comparison to the Halo. Even though the Q series is more expensive.
WhAT ARE ALL THE PARTS, PCB AND EVRYTHINGI NEED TO KNOW!!!!!!!! (Wth is that lil cabe at the top of the case?)
Nice video! What key caps you used? they are so lovely
just a cheap set from Amazon. you can definetly find better on Etsy or other sites that look as good if not better.
got the V6 wired one and been using it so far for a couple months with the red switches/silver and just love it how it Thocks with the swapped PBT keycaps , and just bought the K10Pro white with brown switches just like this one you have here. Can't wait to receive it with some extra blue and white switches as well.
I am still on my K2 v2 modded and looking towards V1 Max as an upgrade in months to come - programmable, 2.4Ghz and better build are just about good reasons for USD100, unless I find an alternative maker at the same price with better build/features/acoustics. Budget would be around USD100-150, but that needs to include my preferred XDA key-caps with cyrillic, and some modding stuff. My current K2 v2 mod is: - Gateron G Pro 3 Yellow switches - Tape mode (2 layers) - Durock stabilisers with popular mods - 4mm Practik Base for vibration/sound dampening (orange) - 5mm STP Biplast sound insulator (black) - Poron foam between plate and PCB - 0.5mm switch pads - PBT XDA keycaps 1.5-1.6mm (cheap but good ones, not doubleshot) - 1.5mm O-rings on XDA key-caps Quiet sure this beets even the current stock V1 Max and NyPhy Halo75 v2, when it comes to thockiness and silence, but want a new one. BTW, I noticed that not many, or close to none, options when it comes to cases w/o top cover, like the K2 (not considering the low profile ones)! More plastic/steel/aluminum = more ways to resonate.
And, after writing the above comment just ordered V1 Max, but with Gateron Yellow switches, as I know how they feel and I really like them. Couldn't hold back :))
guys to go 5:58 secs and look at his computor wallpaper....🤣
I wish I found your channel earlier I like your videos
Thank you for explaining the reasoning behind your choices and the desired sound! I have seen many reviewers throw this board together with little or no rhyme or reason and then complain about the sound!
What would you recommend for a board that's a little more expensive with a better building experience?
for me that would have to be either the Tofu65 or the QK60. Both are going to be around 150$ (tofu65 has a sale right now) and imo offer a better typing and building experience as well as a better sound profile. The Tofu65 in particular has one of the most consistent sound profiles across the board and can be very easily customized.
@@keybound Thanks!
you did a double pe foam mod
Nah I’m fine if I’m spending money on a keyboard they better do the modding. That’s not my job. Lol
Is this tri-mode supported for the pre-built or barebone? Didn't see the 2.4 ghz dongle like v75.
I might get this and I am curious if you have to put together the pcb or any other thing because I think as a beginner in the custom keyboard market ( I have not bought one yet) I would like to know that. Thank you for your help
How does it sound foamless?
I recently ordered this board for 39$ with 14$ caps and 20$ switches from AliExpress. Same bord in my country cost around 80$ alone. I can't wait to see delivery guy and assemble this beast.
bro its just went down for only 23 dollars
Are there leds in the keyboard?
tysm bro this helped so much!
im gonna be honest, the stab thing is just a skill issue. its really easy to put them in for me
the weird thing is, the Neo80 i got later was fine. But for some reason i had a hell of a time with it on the Neo65.
is this still good keyboard i dont need the best only good software etc
LOL bro, did you call the mode envoy the Porsche of keyboards?!?!?! foreal!? lol. It's a great keyboard and pretty underrated but sheeeesh
lol I meant that mostly in the sense that you have to pay for literally everything that most boards will just give you (stabz, cable etc.) and that its quite high priced. Overall still amazing keyboards in my opinion.
@@keybound okok. I feel ya on that. I would however say that Mode as a whole is like Porsche, not particularly the mode envoy. Their new mode sixtyfive really proving your point here with those brass bottom cases costing over $200 alone.
@@0xBULLgogi Yeah thats a fair take i think. And i think more of what i was really going for but i could have been clearer. But yeah the new SuxtyFive is really nice but the price point is a bit of a turn off
Hi, is there a video for modding higher end keyboards? At the start of the video I thought you were going to say that mods work for any keyboard high quality or not. I just got a Keychron Q3 Max for my birthday and was wondering if it is even worth to mod it or not.
technically all these can work for any keyboard, but in some cases a lot of higher end keyboards either already come with the mod or dont need it. Ive generally found that for higher end keyboards you want to stick with stabilizer mods or at the very least the force break mod (tape between the top case and bottom case). Anything else can be a bit excessive.
GMK67-S has been going for around $40 on Ali and it eschews the knob but has VIA. Prices have really come down over the past few years.
How’s battery life for the gmk67?
You really have to try the Neo80. The magnetic connector, 4 different mounting options, the case latching mechanism and sound quality are superb
i actually have one coming! Will be reviewing it soon.
sick keyboard bro. Also wanted to ask how u know which foam piece is which are they labelled? I am looking into buying this keyboard. thx in advance
Some kits have them labeled but to be honest i based my names off of what i saw on websites. Its not too hard to know which part goes where though, if you were to build a kit with full foam its pretty intuitive which foam goes where.
Great Video!!! I disagee!!!
I agree with you the neo is great for the price but I haven’t been using it ever since I received my cycle7 it’s just a better overall board for a slightly higher price
hmm....the video is good and all but I would really implore you do some in depth research before stating quite a lot of misleading info and if I need to point out 1 in particular it would be your statement that most budget keyboards comes with aluminum plate are very very misleading, the accurate facts regarding that would be most budget keyboards comes with a cheap spray on steel plate which sounds horrible and not aluminum. There is a huge difference in material and also how the keyboard sounds from both aluminum and steel, So I think there is a need for me to point this out and address this particular statement in this video. I don't mean to come off as trying to be an expert or anything but seeing as this video has 21k views it might also mean potentially there are people of that amount who thinks their budget steel plate is an aluminum plate and can't tell the difference moving forward. Also pro tip you can actually test if the plate on your keyboard is aluminum or steel with a little magnet, if the magnet sticks on your plate then it's just a steel plate and not aluminum.
Great point! I actually didnt even realize i said aluminum till you pointed it out. Chances are i just stumbled over my words when i did the recording and just said the wrong thing. I have since then stopped "winging" my commentary so hopefully my videos moving forward will be way more accurate but i do appreciate the feedback!
Thank you for taking my feedback constructively ! Looking forward to more videos ! @@keybound
I implore you to get back into your mommy's basement.
I just ordered the case and the pcb to build my very first custom keyboard. I wanted the tofu60 but pcbs are all out of stock so I ended up getting the 65. Trying my brother's tofu60 really got me sold 👌
you got some good insights about the neo65 that a lot of other RUclipsrs arent really bringing to light. appreciate your opinion on it and can agree based on my own experience
Nice vid
bro OMG your board sounds AMAZING
Nice vid mate
