I also was SHOCKED when I first saw it on Steam... BOOM instant wishlist... Will buy day one, even in a second after it releases. This is the game that got me into gaming as a kid, and I cherish that.

I love how much of a hand crafted this game is took to make the sprites using an actual clay. It's why this game is very unique in terms of design aspect. Makes it an unforgettable game that you've played.

Lived long enough to see my childhood games getting remastered. From Metalslug, Hamsterball, and now this????? I actually kinda want to see an actual "3d" version of this but the "reclayed" is already amazing enough. I do wanna see more levels in this remaster, hell maybe a level where you can make your own level? Maybe thats too much to ask for lol, considering you cant really make bosses from scratch right? Anyway, I cant wait to see the megapolitan level, cause thats still my most favourite level (despite being hard as hell lol). Personally, I would love to see if the glow or overall bloom would be turned down cause I think its kinda removing the aesthetic of the old game where it feels gloomy overall.

Ill be honest I love the new clay models, but I cant help but feel the lighting in the new shots is less vibrant and has harsher shadow. Idk if this is intentional but personaly I prefer the lighter shadowing of the original sprites

Meanwhile, Interplay refuses to do anything with Clayfighter except sending C&D's to fan projects like they were Nintendo.

Why was it even CALLED Platypus?
The reason why Anthony called it "Platypus" because it's funny to him and the game itself feels upbeat and jolly, also it ends with -us so it's like other shoot 'em ups (Gradius, Xevious, etc...).
@@momonk2137 never noticed the -us connection. Like Darius and... Touhous I guess
