  • Happy Land of Hanna-Barbera/Hanna-Barbera Land was home to many of our favorite childhood/adult memories such as Fred's Jungle Gym, Flintstone Follies, Dino's Derby, Rangers Jeeps, and many...along with YOGI'S CAVE! Here's a walk through that cozzy cave, dating back to the Golden Years many of us all may remember, ENJOY! Courtesy of "KDFanPre91".

So cool that someone had this. I was bummed when I heard they got rid of it. The lopsided room at the end was the best part.

I loved going into that cave as a child. The end was the best when it felt like you were walking sideways. Smurf Mountain was a good 1 too.

It's heartbreaking knowing all the magical attractions at king's dominion is gone. Smurf mountain haunted river Yogi's cave are all gone. I'm taking my kids next week so I searched these attractions to show them and was devastated when I read they was gone. Thanks for this trip down memory lane my parents took us every year and my mom passed this good Friday so me and my dad are taking my kids next week it will be a bittersweet trip. Here's something to think about this video was recorded on a huge video camera placed on your shoulder it wasn't recorded on a phone. 80's was the best years ever 💜

Those glowing, colored jewels in the column were my absolute favorite part! Or maybe it was the waterfall. Or the spooky pinging noises near the end. Yogi's Cave had many highlights.

I remember running through this dozens of times when it didn’t have a lot of foot traffic, pretending the bears were chasing me. I was a bit too young and dense to realize it was Yogi Bear and not a generic bear cave. Had fun, though.

Sad this wholesome part of KD is gone. Takes you back to a time when family fun was number one priority. The park is now overcrowded and over priced which means long lines and waits for everything.

Oh god the memories. I remember going through yogi’s cave EVERY TIME I WENT for years. I remember getting so big I wasn’t able to fit into some of the smaller nooks and cranies inside (there was one bit that only kids could fit, no adult could get in).

The coaster wars of the 90s really changed a lot theme parks. Instead of making more themed family friendly attractions there was a big push for bigger and better thrill rides. I would’ve loved to have gone to KI or KD before this started to happen.

Thanks for the memories! My church, the Church of God, used to do Family Days back in the early 80's and this was one of my first theme park experiences (they may still do them, but I haven't lived in upper Virginia since '85).
I loved Yogi's Cave! It was one of my favorite things as a Hanna Barbara fan. However...Am I the only one who wondered why there was no actual Yogi in "Yogi's Cave?" Watching this, it just occured to me he was never in there...LoL.

Did that giant bear at 1:25 ever talk? I loved this exhibit as a kid but was terrified of that giant bear, so I would cover my ears and hide behind Mom when we passed him. I remember he snored, but I feel like sometimes he talked to the crowd, or talked in his sleep?

    • @TotoDarth
