Lol this was the first time I used an actual mic for a video, and it's closer to blue yeti quality... so I tried editing my voice a lot to make it sound better for each segment. If I ever do this kind of thing again, I'll probably end up putting more effort cuz I finished this video in under a week after I completed the game for myself (I had a deadline and it was for a small project for college). If I end up putting over a month of effort for analysis videos I hope the way I carry myself and my mic quality improve
Thank you. In hindsight, I should've grabbed the free version of the game cuz the distributors that are in charge of the game's sale on steam are pretty exploitative and don't support the original creator as much.

@@buzter8135yep the game was initially released as a free game. The creator did everything himself (music, fights, designs, etc.). It's like a Stardew Valley situation except the guy was completely fine with selling his game for free
good video, made me think about how my own world building and characters my oc Hank is the god who made everything, who is currently on a path of destruction through the universe. Wouldn't see what hes doing as "conquest" because Hank made everything. Now all the people Hank made might think of it differently but for Hank its just doing what you will with what you own. i like world building and i like your video
Yes, world-building is a massive element in story-based video games, and good games tend to have detailed worlds while keeping some things up to speculation. I personally think God-like characters are boring because an interesting aspect of good video game characters is how human or semi-realistic they may feel to us. It's like they feel real to a certain extent while remaining in their respective world (which just leads to a better sense of immersion in their story). For example, in this game, the protagonist is a robot, but we still feel this enduring connection to him because he makes human-like emotional decisions guided by his empathy and enduring kindness (just talking about the true route of the game and excluding the contrived out-of-character decision Quote makes before the Core boss fight that leads to the true ending). It's quite a mystery why a robot would choose these irrational choices, and the reasons why we are allowed to make these empathetic choices are up to each player's interpretation (why can a robot save a human being or a Mimiga when the robot supposedly felt nothing about killing both in the past and only focused on getting its job done? What exactly changed?). In any case, God-like characters can still be done right (God Of War), but even in those cases, good writers tend to give emotional depth and interesting motivations to captivate their respective audiences because, that way, the audience can more easily connect with the material. You don't have to connect the main structure of a story to a grander theme like the nature of warfare though (it's pretty easy to mess this up). Anyway that's all I had to say. Thanks for watching!

Also, I really didn't make any jokes throughout this video, so I'm sorry about that... it might be harder to watch unless you also love Cave Story. I tried to be as serious as possible so idk.
