I gotta say, Idaho has some of the gnarliest single track. The camera does NOT do it justice. Way to go Morgan, that was a good job for the terrain. You got some big balls just to even try this, let alone film and post for the world to criticize on the interwebs.
I’m not making fun of Morgan, he’s awesome, or any of the other riders. I understand wanting to push oneself and trying new things, it’s just that it has to have a good ratio of FUN. I enjoy RIDING my dirt bkes , Not dragging, pushing & pleading them up and over roots & rocks on 45 degree incline. I want to see my wheels rolling. I DON’T want to see another riders gloves grabbing my front tire, gasping for air trying to help me pull my bike up a hill! In one of Morgan’s videos, I heard him say about Hard Enduro, that he doesn’t get it. I don’t get the enjoyment of the self inflicted misery. Hard Enduro is compared to draining the water out of a swimming pool, then filling it with sand & trying to swim in the pool, while another swimmer has you by your ankle trying to drag you across the pool! WTF? The other parts of the race course were okay. But that hillside scene looked like mass casualties everywhere. “Hard Enduro” will have to improve the courses, or it will be a Fad & go away like SuperMoto/Super Motard did. Love your channel, Morgan, keep up the great content!
Morgan! Hope you enjoyed, it is a whole different ball game this hard enduro stuff. It is awesome and I think the more you go to the more addicting it gets! The best part is the community, nicest two wheel community that I have ever experienced.
I did. I agree that the community is amazing! Not sure I’m cut out for it but I am so glad I went. It’s motivating me to get better and more fit for my kind of racing.
@@highlandcycles It’s amazing how fast you can progress once you start seeing the “hard stuff”. It’s hard to imagine what to ride before going to a race. Really addicting once you start making progress
From a TN/KY harescramble xc guy, this looks awful 😂. I’m sure the memories in hindsight will be great but good god I can see myself having the “this isn’t even fun, why am I here” vibes while doing it lol. Congrats on conquering a new challenge and letting us non-hard enduro racers watch
At least you gave it a try, Morgan. Personally, I have never enjoyed racing anything. Competion is not why I ride. I ride dirt bikes and mountain bikes for the joy and happiness that it gives me, and I saw none of that there. Love that new XC W, BTW.
i wonder if a more aggressive tire (thinking like the IRC M5B) would have been better overall since it looks like the toughest parts of the race were the hill climbs.

LOL been there done that and it’s brutal. The physical level you need to be in is ridiculous huh. However if I could ride Better that would save LOTS of energy. We are definitely not all tryston hart 😂

What size sprockets do you run?
13/52
Hard Enduro is the Manliest form of motorsports!
It’s manly but I think the Isle Of Man is more so. Rarely do people die in a hard enduro
Is there anything you could have done to better prepare yourself? Aside from entering bronze class?
More weight lifting but more importantly, worked on finding traction in the most ridiculous situations.
How long in real time did it take to get front the bottom to the top of the hill climb?
I’ll have to check but I’m guessing about 45 min to an hour
Riding an enduro bike is much more rewarding than pushing, pulling, dragging and lifting it.
Agree. The good guys do
That looked painful😂I would not have finished either
It was out of hand
If you had to do it again would you use a different tire?
