That was my first dirt bike race ever. So humbling. I have a whole new respect for guys riding at your level. I only made 2 checkpoints, but I’m hooked. So important to push early and get ahead of bottle necks. Can’t wait for the Donner.
My son and I were at the top of the first hilliclimb (spectators) when your friend blew the radiator hose. Is was right at the top. We all heard it - super loud!
Most pro moto and supercross factory teams are bypassing the mechanical water pumps on bikes and using a Toyota Prius electric water pump believe it or not. Less drag on the motor plus it maintains a constant flow.
no this is one step easier than the pro line. the pros come in and out of our line so bascially they have a few splits that are harder that they have to hit and we just skip them. theres also a whole other day for the B/C class on an easier course
Has anyone ever wired in two rad fans? Like spliced in another fan on the other radiator? Maybe it could be a benefit in icky slow single track. Possibly with a switch so you could kill that fan if needed. Just thinking out loud.
@@TrailBoundco. That’s an interesting idea. I was thinking if you had two fans, each with a temp probe, you could set one to come on at normal range, and the second to kick on when it’s really hot. Then when the temp cools the secondary fan would cut out first, and then the normal fan would cut when fully cool. 🤔 I might have to do a project. My EC300 doesn’t get too hot, but I got an EX250F this spring and that little guy gets scorching back in the single track.
its because I cut out a bunch of it with the gopro angle being all out of whack in the first part of the race. so there was some good struggling up that steep hill before she started steaming
I think you did a good job that looks like a very tough course.

What gearing are you running?

Oh yeah I think I saw a clip about that during a bike check on one of the MX channels. Kooky.
How are you mounting your gopro for these races? Was told this year I wasn't allowed to mount it on my helmet anymore
Looks like a chest mount
🤟🏼
Is that the full size bar bag you have on?
Yeah medium 2 pocket bag stuffed with gels and some tools/bolts shop.trailbound.co/products/pad-pack-medium
@@TrailBoundco. Sweet placing order.
Is this A line? Pros?

James Flynn runs two computer fans I've never tried it

I feel like that boil over was so random
