Mate Ive never built a PC before but watching this has inspired me to have a go! Your tutorial was perfect with explanations clear & concise. Much love from 🇬🇧
This is great timing, I'm just about to build in the same case and almost identical parts list but i went with a Lian Li theme for both PSU and AIO. Unfortunately, i have to wait till the 50 series is released to complete my build, will have to continue to with my 2018 8gb card until then. Thanks for the video, haven't built since 2020 so help to refresh my memory!
Wouldn’t bother my friend, would be a better idea to purchase an 7900xt or xtx, maybe the gre depending on use case. The 5k series has significantly reduced vram and an overall higher price $1500 for the 5070 I believe and it underperforms compared to current gpu market.
@@Gamer-zt9qknot true at all. 5070 is priced at $549. They kept the same amount of vram as the 40 series for their mid tier cards, which sucks but it was not reduced. The only GPU priced higher than $1,500 is the 5090 at around $1,999. The specs and prices have already been confirmed. 5090 has 32gb VRAM.
Yes I agree the 140mm fill the space I run hydroshift aio and have the white lian li evo looks great I actually like it more then the hyte Y70 touch case I had. I just love how everything is lit up and the case looks vibrant and I can see the 5k I spent lol
I completely forgot the EVO RGB can take 140mm 😅 140’s were going to take another week so I couldn’t wait lol I think the Y70 is nice, but I personally am not a fan of how you can’t see the bottom fans; the touch screen version is what’s tempting lol
yeah i was looking at y70 touch too, but riser needs changing to 5.0 and if you go into bios it gets displayed on the touch screen so if you like to tinker a lot maybe it could be annoying… this evo rgb looks really nice and classy without these complications.
I appreciate the feedback ! The white version is nice but I wish LIAN Li replaced the gray grommets with pure white like they do with the Vision Compact white
I agree with you ! The TL and TL LCD look good, but I just hate that they don't have the option for RGB in the middle. I hope Lian Li adds wireless to the Infinity Mirror fans or have a Infinity LCD type. I'm strongly considering the 140's and doing an update video 😅
Perhaps the back clip for adjust the motherboard high mut be rotated because onde side is flat and other side is "rounded", i think the rounded side must be faced to the corner, and the flat side to the center of the rear panel of the motherboard. Ithink if them not rotated then it could be not fit all motherboards dua a little difference in internal space. Great job for explaining all details and how (and why) it must be mounted. Very nice.
I am planning on building a pc with this case and i think the best looking combination would be 140mm fans on the bottom and side, a 120mm fan on the back, and a 360mm AIO with 120mm fans on the top
how is the cooling performance on the AIO with SL-INF fans? i’m looking to build something like this and it looks great but i was considering leaving original fans without rgb for the radiator as the SLs are not really that great airflow wise.
Hello Hero ;) I've finished my first PC built following all your steps. It works!!!!! THANK YOU SO MUCH (where is your patreon?!) the lian fans are turning as you said even if nor windows was installed and L connect neither. Only little one regret : not to have put the mother board on the top position instead of bottom one : it should have been better to put gpu strimer in the bottom of the case. Last thing I'm wondering... What system should I install now??? Windows 10 pro or 11 pro? And then optimize it? Have you an opinion on that point? (I'm using the PC only for gaming and PC VR quest 3 gaming) Thank you so much
I’m glad this tutorial worked out for you !🔥 The only reason why I personally don’t like GPU Strimmer on bottom is because it blocks air flow versus having it the way I do it. I don’t think it’ll make a dramatic difference, but I just visually see air flow being blocked that way 😅 For Windows, I always use whatever the latest is. I use Windows 11 Home. I looked at the pro but there’s nothing there I would use. Hope that helps !
One thing to be clear for those who mount lian li fans that will be driven by L-connect: think of putting them in a logical order (1-2-3-4 in the order in which they are placed in the PC) as well as in the same orientation (connection of the cable in "head" of a block following the "tail" of the previous block) if we want to be able to use later some light effects that pass from one block to another. 🤗
Hello. i've just found that you've built an EVORGB like mine too. So it's even more better than to follow your similar Vision compact built like I was doing first for my built ;) Two questions : in L-Connect, it seems that you has left all your fans of all of your set up under the CPU temperature control... Maybe you haven't finished your settings ? Or is it your choice ? I believed it would be greater to put only radiators fans under CPU control and all the others ones under GPU control ... Am I wrong ? The next question... Your AIO tubes seem to be landing on( or very near) the exhaust hot air of your GPU... Maybe you should put them a little bit away to avoid that the GPU warm the tubes and the water inside ? Or maybe the tubes are well isolated ?Thanks for your great job one more time, you made this perfectly and it REALLY HELP a lot !!! (Like the youtube videos of @"Provoked Prawn" and it's funny to be help by a provoked prawn and a... fire Wolf ;) ;) ;) )
I've got exactly the same motherboard for my next build (waiting until 9950x3d comes out). I've heard that it will be still enough PCIE 5.0 x16 slot working in x8 mode for RTX 50 series (63.015 gb/s bandwidth on PCIE 5.0 x16 is overkill. PCIE 5.0 x8 will have the same bandwidth as PCIE 4.0 x16 has and even 4090 can't cap it). Right now I have two Samsung 990 Pro's (1TB and 2 TB). Should I install on main one windows and other programs, and use 2TB for gaming (Steam library, for example)?
You 3 different software runs at all time for your AIO screen, Fans and LEDs. Do you see how much CPU resources and memory does it uses? Anyway to use all ASUS motherboard to control all with the fan headers, if I bought the ASUS AIO.
You can choose to have the Infinity Fan Hub connected directly to motherboard via ARGB and FAN Pin to let your Motherboard Software control the fans instead. You could also use the other sets of wires found in the single packs, and connect 4 separate connectors to motherboard if you want to be able to control them separately. I don’t worry about running multiple software since the CPU and Memory are on the higher end but these are the resources at idle with 9800x3D : - L-connect 3 ~ 0.4-1% - 180MB - Kanali ~ 0.8 - 1.8% - 220MB Armory Crate / Aura Sync / Fan controller is less than 1% and all ASUS programs are about 260MB
I personally use Signalrgb to control my inf-fans, ram, gpu, case and galahad performance´s rgb. Fan-speeds via bios. But i dont think aio´s with displays are supported, but they may do now. I despise every first party sofware.

They're both great, but the EVO RGB gives you more options and is easier to remove glass panels. The H9 Elite has an awesome top see through glass panel, so I would recommend side mounting AIO so that you can see the aesthetics of the top mounted fans. The H9 Elite feels more premium and sturdier so I think it depends on which you prefer based on aesthetics and pricing. I think if you're going for top mounted AIO, then H9 Flow would be a better option. Final note would be 140mm vs 120mm fans, since the EVO RGB allows for triple 140 on bottom, side, and top, I feel like the 140's would look better. ON the H9, having all 120's look more "full"
yo bro please please please make a video or atleast a short on the settings you use for your strimmer cables or L connect lighting in a whole. I cant get the cables to do the affect you have

Both great cases, I like how easy LIAN li makes opening up all the panels. H9 Elite you would need to unscrew the back and then the side glass panel can come off. The front glass also doesn’t come off, where the EVO RGB does, and it’s easy. I will say the H9 Elite feels sturdier and premium. In case they were white, the lighting could look a little different. Since you have the same black ones, it could be your lighting and/or how I set up my camera to capture the video. They look more vibrant when I have no lights on and it helps that my camera captures amazing in low lights. I do also have them set at 100% brightness
The edge is awesome ! I used it on the Vision Compact build. The only thing to consider for this EVO RGB using the edge, is to move the PSU to the top position, since there’s not a lot of space on the bottom left 😅
