Looks like such a great place to travel. I always appreciate when the people in the country I'm visiting do speak english. I never expect it, but it does make things much easier. But also I feel like those interactions when neither speaks the same language but they're trying to be helpful are so meaningful. I love when we're able to break the communication barrier and just be humans with eachother. Thanks for another amazing video from China. Looking forward to seeing the rest of your trip!

In fact, since the last century, when relations between China and the Soviet Union deteriorated, Chinese students have given up Russian in middle school and joined English as a major course, and have had this course until university, think about it for at least 40 years, although it is a major course, but because there is no language environment, so students forget it after learning, it is not that China is only now teaching children English!
yeah a real heaven for foreigners earning usd or euros the price of stuff up in the oriental pearl is no where near reasonable for most chinese ppl earning the pay by chinese standard and the same thing u see up there could be scanned using taobao and be purchased for a way cheaper price.
Just watching you walk on that glass floor was making me nervous. I would not personally be able to go up that high. I’m very very afraid of heights and then to see you walk on the clear floor. It’s too much for me 😂 And I imagine that things in China are so much cheaper just like Thailand because they’re cost-of-living is not very high and they don’t get paid very much so things for us tourist is a bargain.
When we were in Shanghai the vendors were out in force and pretty aggressive .... one guy came up to my husband with a bunch of watches and said, "Lolex, buy Lolex!" My husband raised his wrist to show the guy he HAD a watch already, but the wily vendor said, "That not Lolex!" My husband pointed at his watches and said, "That not Lolex either!" The vendor began to laugh like crazy and cuffed my husband on the shoulder - "Good."
Did you see that Chinese film 'No More Bets'? We saw it last year, in China, luckily with subtitles. Pretty amazing, but disturbing. If people ask to have a photo with me, I usually ask for 25 yuan-as a joke! I've been approached once, by a girl, asking to go for drinks, in Beijing, but my wife was with me. In a small coastal town, a local asked my wife if I was a real human being.
