Useful video. If you poured a custom concrete foundation or wooden raised foundation does it have a way to bolt/screw into it or is it supposed to just sit there by its own weight?
Your video is very helpful! I've been waiting for this shed to come back to retailers. It is produced in and shipped from Isreal and all Keter sheds are on hold given the pandemic.

Hi thanks for the video, can I ask how many boxes this comes in please as I’ve just got my order update and it is showing 2 boxes and says ‘Part of your Costco order has shipped’ which to me indicates that it isn’t complete?
Is it possible to assemble this without the floor? We want to use this to house our existing pool filter and other equipment that is already plumbed into the ground in the concrete, so an existing floor is problematic. If the floor (or the edges of the floor) are required for wall assembly, maybe we could cut out the floor after the walls and such are assembled??? Thoughts??
It NEEDS a flat surface, otherwise, the panels will NOT line up property to put the roof on there. I don't think cutting the bottom off is a good idea, one small windy day will easily blow the top part off. Plus, most of the wall and top needs the ground for support and alignment. They actually recommend anchoring the shed down the ground to prevent the thing get's blown away. Maybe something like this amzn.to/3b1ugDe will do the job for much cheaper and less liability
Hi thanks for the video. How did level the shed on an uneven ground? It looked like cardboard? Did you come up with a more permanent solution? Also do you have a rough idea about how many inches the concrete was out of level? I want to buy this shed and place it on surface that is sloped 1/4 inch per foot - so 1 3/4 inches over seven feet. Will I have problems?
The ground is very thin plastic, their manual suggest a properly poured concrete slab. I used exssisting slab with a slop maybe 5 degrees? Not ideal but still worked
If you empty the whole shed, is it light and sturdy enough for 3-4 people to move it a couple of meters every couple of years to just retreat a wood base?
My community has HOA shed requirements that only allow for a 6 ft tall shed. I fell in love with this shed is it possible to cut along the bottom to make it 6 ft tall while building it?
Thanks for posting this detailed video! I was wondering if there was any rust after so many years? I live in Northern California and get a lot of fog so am scared the metal pieces will rust.
No significant rust, door mechanism gotten a bit lose after all these years, but I do put lubricating silicon spray through the hindges and other areas that might be exposed to weather from exterior. And we live in florida, where humidity year round is almost 70-100%
it will not, it's way wider than a suv length, that's all I remember. You can also call customer care and they should be able to tell you the dimension of the shipping box.

Hello. Thanks for the video. After almost two years of use, did the corner plastic poles hold up? i saw that in some Keter corners poles, the plastic starts to peal off
Hi Li, thanks for the great video and you mentioned, that you were not able to fit the bottom screws at the side where the shed is too close to the wall. I'm facing the same problem and would like to ask you, is there is a problem, when the bottom screws are not fitted to one side of the shed ? Thanks, John
Nice shed! How many inches is the roof overhang on the front from the front walls? My back wall to front sidewalk is 82" so I'm hoping from the back of my house to front wall is around 82" and the rest of the space is the overhang which is up high over my head so it's ok if it sticks past 82".
Thanks for the excellent video. This looks like what I need EXCEPT that I would need the high part of the roof to be on the back. In other words I would want to rotate the roof 180 degrees so the downward slope is toward the doors. Could you comment on whether this can be done? It looks like I could just mount the pieces with the high piece in back, the low piece in the front, and the triangular pieces with their low ends toward the front. But I can't really tell for sure from the video. I'd be grateful for your insight into whether this would be easy, hard or not possible. Thanks again.
Thanks for the great review! Question, what is the minimum setback you would recommend to keep the side and back away from adjacent fences/buidings? Thanks!
I would say as much as possible, definitely needs to be more than enough for you to squeeze in to bolt the wall panels to the base using provided long screws. Mine was way too close to the wall that I can not get into the side of the shed to bolt in the screws as the last step. Also, different local permiting requires different setbacks, especially near the neighboring fence.
This is really helpful, Li Fan. I have a couple of questions that maybe you can answer- I am building a platform for the same shed but have conflicting measurements from the Keter website and installation instructions. Can you verify the width and depth of the footprint, and how much the flanges on the side and the door transom stick out? I assume the width does NOT include the amount they stick out, probably no more than ½ to 1 inch? Thank you for your documentation!
If you can, I would highly suggest to make a platform much larger than shed, as illustrated in Keter catalog bit.ly/3bN2ECa The widest part outside of the wall is 2.5" so if you need to build a platform, I'd say use whichever spec they've provided and add at least 3-4"
Hi, I actually had the same question recently when building my base for this shed and I asked this question to Keter customer service. They replied that the 'external dimensions' on the website are actually the dimensions of the shed INCLUDING the parts of the roof sticking out, whereas the dimensions on page 3 in the installation manual are the size of the floor plate, i.e. the dimensions on page 3 in the manual are the ones you have to consider when creating the base/platform for the shed. Hope this helps!
i can in my case, but there are mud on the bottom as I didn't anchor it in, it's really hard to do, have to lift empty shed up onto a large plywood board or something to move it out to put the screws in, but I did manage to get some screws in on the side near the wall, just used a very short screw driver to do it on areas that I can reach.

Thank you so much for this tutorial and review! My husband and I are seriously considering getting this shed, but we read a few reviews where the floor had cracked after someone dropped something heavy on it. We have heavy duty shelving units that we would hope to put in the shed, but are nervous about the floor cracking or breaking. What are your thoughts after having the shed for 18 months?
The floor is a bit flimsy I agree, so don't drop heavy stuff on it. It also depends on how level your base is, if you have uneven surfaces the floor could deform and have hollow space under it, that's when if you drop weight on it, it will crack :-) but to hold weights they should be fine, I also have 2 heavy duty shelves in the shed, no cracking. Shed is still in like new condition after all these time.
I've just built the 9x7 here in the UK. Took 8 hours on my own at easy pace. Dropped my 2kg hammer on the floor which left half a hole, so floor base is thin. If you don't let gravity take its course with your tools there's no problem with everyday use. I had no need to bolt down to concrete base due to fencing on three sides to reduce wind buffeting. Lost count of the number of (different) screws, but very happy with it (£1300/$1800).
They want you to anchor it to the ground using whatever means possible, using appropriate anchoring methods approved by your local permit requirements of course. I did not screw or secure it down on the ground. I"m hoping the weight of my contents inside can hold it onto ground if something bad was to happen.
We‘ve been considering to buy this shed, but wasn‘t sure it would fit. Our space is similar to yours i.e. on a tight corner. Your video helps us see that it is possible to use the space. Screwing down the panel to the bottom foundation on the side where the wall is could be tricky for us. Do you notice any water leaking into the shed on rainy days?
No leaking at all and we live in subtropical area lots of rain. Yes I would leave a little bit of space near the wall so that you can use a short screwdriver to screw at least some of the screws to secure the wall side onto the base.
Great tutorial! We have this shed also & I’m wondering how you went about installing your shelves? Did you just drill brackets into the walls and then put wood boards on the brackets? I’m just afraid the screws will drill through since the shed walls aren’t super thick...
I am not feeling comfortable drilling through those plastic walls they don't feel secure enough to hold much weight. So I just bought two heavy duty metal shelves and put on two sides of the shef to hold most of the stuff. And lay longer items at the corner.
Never thought of that, but the screws are pretty easy to strip because all panels are plastic, so make sure to not overtighten them and only use lowest torque setting if you are using a electric drill/screwdriver, stop just before fully set-in, and hand tighten at the very end.

Nope

Nope you can not, the mounting location is fixed to one long side

UV resistant textured plastic doors with steel reinforcement.

I think you have to modify the rear of the roof to add a gutter in order to collect rain water but the roof area is really too small to be effective.
