I'm American and my Hubby is Nigerian I made this for first time today following your step by step process he loved it so much Thank You so much Queen ❤😘
Amazing! I came for this comment!!!! I am also American and my husband is Nigerian. I made it some time ago for my husband, which he said it was "okay", but the type of okay that is followed by a "but", lol. After getting the stew down for him he asked me to try to make the Egusi again. Here I am... 🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾 I feel more confident following this recipe after seeing your comment. Thank you.

Hello, ChefLola! I've always wanted to learn how to make my best soup(egusi) after leaving my parents' house ignoring the fact that I'll be left alone to cook for myself 😂. Thank you so much, for making it so easy and simple! Much appreciated ❤️
This soup is cooked across West Africa all the way to Senegal and Gambia. I am from Lagos: tasted my Cameroonian sista version: equally delicioso fabuloso!!!!! So are Gambian and Ghanaian versions.
I loved the fact that you included timings in each of the cooking process. I have been hitting and missing my Egusi soup until today. It was a bullseye! Thank you so much! Subscribing right away
I’m an American also & always looking for different soups/stews to try. Especially different countries. I’ve watched people eating this with fufu & it just looks delicious. I ordered all the ingredients except the fresh veggies & meat that I’ll buy. Not too sure about cow feet, dry fish… I’ve made African peanut soup w/sweet potato and that was incredible. Thanks for sharing & I’ll def try it ❤
E karro Chef Lola!!! This oyibo iyawo tried cooking egusi for the first time for oko mi! I did but avoided those beans. I soooo appreciate the step by step plus the ingredients written posted on the video!!! I had more melon seeds paste than peppa blend and had to stop putting the paste in. I think I did well, definitely props for trying...the prove will be when oko tastes it! E se!
Waow waow it's, all I can say! I tried ur, mthd and my egusi came out perfectly! For the first time in my life, my egusi soup is, looking like, party or restaurant egusi soup and I m 43yr! Like u said it's, the gently pouring in of the egusi paste ( don't stir, allow to cook for a while and then stir gently and carefully is the trick) previously mine will become smooth and the egusi soup will not have lumps . Thanks so much again
I’m doing a class project on creativity!..... and I’m introducing this amazing dish to my classmates!...... Im taking pics and some videos of me preparing for the first time!..... I am excited! Stand by for my pics !
I love this! It looks like the Egusi my Mum taught us to cook 👍 Pure deliciousness 😂 (I don't like locust beans, so I skip that ingredient). Thanks Chef Lola 💐
