    Great video. Looking forward to visiting the shop when I'm looking for a new pair of winter gloves in a few months.
    Can I just say well done to whoever is producing these videos. The production quality is much improved, looks great! Keep it up.

    Is there something you recommend that’s a summer glove for hot humid climates with kangaroo skin that will fit me like a second skin but maybe a bit more “sporty” …or just traditional looking not necessarily sporty, than the Lee parks ? Kind of like the red racer gloves. I like the look of those…would love if they were roo though

    Hi Chris,
    Great video as usual, however after buying from you a pair of Halvarssons Ljusdal gloves, which are superb, I noticed one thing that is a little annoying. After watching this video, I noticed that many manufacturers also have the same annoying feature. The feature that is annoying is, being a left handed person, why do manufacturers only fit touch sensitive buttons on the right glove only?
    The Rukka Forsair gloves I purchased from you have touch features on both left and right fore fingers and thumbs. Brilliant, well done Rukka.
    Please manufacturers, produce your gloves for us lesser spotted left handers.

    • @nickthequick
      @nickthequick 3 года назад +1

      Touch feature on the left hand is unsafe. You shouldn't operate the device while you ride. You don't want let go of both throttle and front brake as you ride, so touch feature on the right hand only forces you to be at a standstill before operating your device. On the other hand rain on the visor is only a problem when you ride, so therefor the wiper is on the left glove - again so that you avoid the above issue about letting go of throttle and brake.

    • @jasonwood6100
      @jasonwood6100 3 года назад

      Nick The Quick, I must say your reason for not having left hand touch controls makes no sense whatsoever, I never said I wanted to control my screen whilst riding, I know better then that, however if I really was going to use the screen whilst riding, I would rather be able to use my left hand and still be ready with the front brake. I also assume that you are maybe not left handed and I guess like me, you would find it difficult to use a touch screen whilst wearing gloves with your wrong hand.

    Lee Parks gloves do seem to be highly regarded. I bought a pair once, however, and a finger stitch ripped, allowing a hole big enough for my finger to slip through.
    Maybe I had a dud, idk, but I never bought another pair. These black and orange gloves look great.. maybe worth a go!

    My go to daily glove for like 9 months a year is Revit summit h2o. I have them for about 4 years and I don’t think they will serve me another year as they started showing some serious wear. Friend of mine bought dainese universe gloves and I really like them and also I like the last rukka you showed. The only bad thing is I can’t see rukka before I buy.

  • @paulvarnsverry11
    @paulvarnsverry11 3 года назад +1

    Apropos the Lee Parks deerskin gloves: deerskin is a good material for gloves and I suspect that these gloves would encounter little difficulty achieving a pass result, so its a real shame Lee Parks hasn’t invested the £890 required for EN 13594:2015 testing, plus £880 for UKCA certification (typical costs quoted); meaning there would be no need for you to caveat your comments, Chris.

    • @Fee.1

      @@Fee.1 : Demand isn’t the criteria by which compliance with the law is decided. Supply is. The guidance issued by UK Trading Standards, via the British Safety Industry Federation, at www.bsif.co.uk/wp-content/uploads/2019/06/Motorcyclist-PPE-1.pdf, and the legislation itself, sets out that economic operators must not put non-conforming products on the market; so Motolegends is taking a risk by selling these gloves, knowing they are required to be tested and certified, and knowing that has not been done.

    • @Fee.1
      @Fee.1 3 года назад

      @@paulvarnsverry11 well he’s selling them as uncertified gloves not safety rated motorcycle gloves, for the time being at least, so I don’t see how he’s at risk. It’s about the claims being made not the product or gardening gloves would also be illegal

    • @paulvarnsverry11
      @paulvarnsverry11 3 года назад +1

      @@Fee.1 You are incorrect. Because of historic abuses under the previous ‘voluntary’ designation of motorcyclists’ clothing, where the manufacturer decided whether or not to claim their products as protective, in January 2016 the European Parliament decreed that motorcyclists’ clothing would be officially classified as PPE under the new Regulation 2016/425 (see www.fema-online.eu/website/index.php/2016/01/20/new-european-rules-for-motorcycle-gear/). The Lee Parks gloves are being sold as motorcyclists’ gloves. They fall within the scope of the legislation.
      Gardening gloves are also PPE, but sit in the category below motorcyclists’ gloves, whereas oven gloves and mitts and industrial safety gloves sit in the same category as motorcyclists’ gloves (some industrial safety gloves sit in the category above motorcyclists’ gloves). This is determined by the legislation, not the standards. The legislation is the “who must do what and when”. Standards are the “how”. The two are often conflated, as regularly occurs in the Motolegends videos.
