Wow! So proud to win the Best Summer Gloves category! Many thanks for putting this together and thanks to all the voters! 😍 We really do put absolutely everything into developing and making the best products we possibly can, and so we are so glad that this is reflected from actual consumer data. Aaron and the whole Knox team.
One of the very important things that I always look out for in my gloves, are palm sliders. Surprisingly few gloves actually have these, yet when looking at evaluations of gloves after crashes it seems like 40-60% have damage on the palm, and very quickly grind through the leather there. A brand that I currently use, and was very impressed with, is Ixon. Its a smaller french manufacturer, but for the features it offers it is quite good value, and the quality I think is up to par with alpinestars. I got a set of mid range gloves on a whim as they were on sale, but was so impressed with them I got a high end set of gloves when the old ones wore out. Also a note about kangaroo leather, it is often used because it doesn't degrade with sweat! 'Regular' leather from for example cows degrades with sweat and use, which happens way faster on wear points. That is why more expensive gloves are either entirely kangaroo, or at the very least the palm.
I was going to say this. Palm sliders can prevent breaking your wrist. I was shocked to learn from a local shop that they sell less of these because riders don’t like the way the sliders feel in the glove. Crazy! Safety is paramount.
I owned gloves from Spada, Dainese, Richa, Gerbing, Keis, Buffalo few others and by far the most sturdiest/safe feeling glove was from Held (air n dry).
I've tried all sorts, modern tech, goat leather, kangaroo leather, cheap, expensive, moderate, this that ect ect... Then I found 'Gold Top' gloves, sorted, done, happy. Superb fit, lots of traditional colours, comfortable, well made and British.
I absolutely love my gerbing gloves, after 8 years of full winter use they still look amazing, I've rode when it was the beast from the east down a motorway and I couldn't use them above half way without heated grips at the time, this year I also had the inner jacket although only using it a few times because of lockdown again it was only on half way having a quick ride in the snow, personally if anyone is after winter gloves I would go the heated way anytime now, even just having nice hot hands it seems to warm your whole body and it definitely makes riding safer in cold conditions as obviously getting cold takes away some concentration, great video as always 👍🙂
I've just bought Racer High Speed gloves after binning my pretty much new Macna gloves just before I cut them open to see what's inside. I'm really impressed with Racer gloves, how they fit and over all how they're designed.
What was wrong with the Macnas? They seem to be one of the few brands that offer hard plastic palm sliders on otherwise street style gloves. I do want safety but I do not want to look like Power Ranger. 😅 I have been considering buying their "Outlaw" model.
The obvious question is.....WHY are the sizings inconsistent....especially within one brand? A centimetre is a centimetre and an inch is an inch! It makes no sense to me!
Great content once again! Have to agree with the verdict on Knox, have been riding with a pair of the Knox orsa leathers for a few months now and they are great, the scaphoid protection is confidence inspiring, and I no longer have to worry about the Velcro losing its grip like my old alpine-star celers did after a year of riding thanks to the BOA system.
Size 4xl hands, I buy whatever they have in stock that fits. I like knuckle and palm protection when I can get it, but there are very few manufacturers that make gloves in the larger sizes. Like your vids, keep up the good work
I have the heated Furygans you mention, they are amazin, I had the Alpinestart Equinox, and although for spring/autumm worked fine, and for some part of the winter too, they were not for the coldest days, don´t have that problem with the Furygans now, medium level is enough for most days.
Another great one! For me is more a matter of fit than any other things, i've got thin long hands, and is a struggle to finde gloves that fit right, after that, is a matter of what is aviable...
Had a pair of Alpinestars gloves but the finger lengths were too short and too long on my little finger. I switched to Rev'it gloves and the fit is so good... i brought 3 different pairs of their gloves for summer and winter. My Rev'it gloves have goat skin material and feel flexible leather and good on the controls. They beat the textile material used to have on my Rukka gloves. The best part of Rukka gloves.... is their pass them on resale value ;)
Great video, John. I think I took part in this survey. I mainly use Knox gloves. Mainly for the scaphoid protection which I’ve crash tested. I won’t wear gloves without palm sliders.
I have tried for 3 days now to watch this in peace and quiet. I finally managed. :) Very informative (as always) and makes me quite tempted to invest in one or two of those highly rated autumn-spring gloves. I have the Alpinestars racing gloves for the summer and the Furygans for the winter but nothing for in-between that is also waterproof. I shall be hitting the shops to try and find some to try on. :)
I only wear Rev It gloves. I consider them mid to high price but high quality with small setbacks depending on the gloves. Could be stitching getting pulled, a cool concept just not working as designed, finger ergonomics being long or fat. It’s not huge deals. But stuff people can fuss over. Like my jackets (big chest, long torso, t-rex arms) my hands are wide but my fingers are short. So buying stuff isn’t easy for me and most brands don’t really cater to my odd sizing. So I am pretty brand loyal if I know something fits good enough. So my jackets are all Fly Racing, gloves all Rev It, helmets are HJC, boots are TCX. Anything that will build products for a 5’6” 285lb grizzly bear.
Great review, love my Racer gloves, I have the High and the multi short, the High is expensive but well worth it for the quality and for me personally, the fit is particularly good.
I have the Racers, but the finger length is quite variable. The comfort and quality is second to none. Best race gloves I’ve ever had for their purpose.
Thanks for going to all the trouble to share this info 👍🏻 I’ve been using the 1st Gen RST battery powered gloves for about 4-5 years now and never looked back. It’s interesting the resistance to heated gloves among ALL my biking buddies? They are a game changer in the same way as having BT headsets while riding with your mates. Theses just no going back.
Hi very good article on Gloves in my 60 years of biking I have had many items of clothes from the Donkey jackets and leather ex Dispatch rider Gauntlets to the modern day and without doubt today's Motorcycle gear is the best ever .Gloves having had most of the gloves on you survey like you I now have Racer gloves not cheap at £175 and are very surprised they are not on the list ,I have just bought a spare pair .If you go down the road you cannot afford to not have the best protection. I also wear English made BKS leather suit and Daytona Boots at 76 i still have to work and my kids have no inheritance having learned over the years good protection is not cheap .
My most comfortable kit was my AGV full face helmet, Ewald leather jacket, Ewald leather pants and a pair of leather gloves found in the same shop back in 1978. I used it summer and winter for 10 years and rode 81.000 miles in it. Then I got a family, stopped riding and gave the kit away. Now I've taken up riding again but would swap my modern gear for my old gear in a second. My mum knitted a pair of knee warmers in camel wool. I still got those.
After “testing” a pair of Alpinestar SP-5 gloves I refuse to use anything without ulna protection. Not only did it protect my wrist it saved my Apple Watch. Trivial, but a nice bonus.
T-bagging an electric fence... I like the way you think. I just came off a 1500 mile torrential rain ride (London-Scotland-London), even my Rukka Goretex (also has a wipe on the index finger) gloves eventually leaked a little, but I kept that at bay by leaving the heated grips on.
as a Canadian I have to always adjust my interpretation of what Brits say is a season... here we have road-work and winter. So we cannot have a "spring and summer" glove because we will be slowed down by road-work so we have a winter glove and the rest of the year glove.. and depending on your comfort levels one glove can do all two seasons.
due to Arthritis casing my fingers joints to deform meaning my finger lean badly to the right , the only option I have to even get any glove on is to use ski mitts , wish my hand were like they used to be and able to wear a proper glove when on the bike .
I always struggle to get a pair of gloves that I feel fit me perfectly. Either the fingers are too long, or they pinch my webs, or they're too tight around the wide part .. Always a frustration. Usually I end up with a pair of slightly too tight fitting Rev'It gloves and suffer a bit until they're good
Honestly, I am not sure of having just a little bit longer finger tips than optimal is that bad. I have big hands but very stubby fingers, if I had to bin every glove due to finger length I would be wearing no motorcycle gloves at all. 🤔
As these consumer awards grow we should get a larger pool of respondents and a more reliable and wider data set. Only 1% of the 1,011 people who filled in this survey used Five gloves, so the data was just too small to compare them to 14% - for instance - that were in Alpinestars. The cut-off was 3%, but as we get more people filling in the surveys in future, I'll be able to go to lower percentages as there's be a larger base. I couldn't include any further information outside of the survey as we've not tested any Five gloves. Cheers, John
Best gloves I've owned to date are my Held Titan RR's. Prior to these I had the Held Chikara RR's which were awesome. They do come up on the small side though.
Only gloves I use Knox, have every single type they make. Had a big crash September 21, should have broke both hands, but nothing wrong with either. Right leg is something certainly different, still off work. But still have leg, so good news.
Do you still recommend the furygan D3O? And do you think they're ventilated enough for a tropical 32 °C? I absolutely love the looks and they are the most affordable among the easiest to import.
They just didn't have anywhere near enough respondents, sorry. As this consumer survey grows we should see more brands getting featured as I'll have more reliable data from a wider spread. Cheers, John
I tried finding warm gloves during freezing winters and nothing kept my hands dry or warm. I got Oxford heated gloves and they're pretty good. If I was to upgrade I'd look at those armoured ones you reviewed. But honestly I think you could wear any relatively warm gloves (your favourites) during winter and just use overgloves for when it rains. I found Triumph Storm Guard and Dainese also do a waterproof one but more expensive.
@@martinbeukes4773 you really need to try them on. I would never buy a pair I couldn't try on unless I had already had the exact same pair. PS: I ride with Rev'It Chevron 3, check them out
It's a lot easier to return things now, but I agree (and it's the thrust of the video) - gloves must be CE-approved and they must fit properly, so trying them on is vital really. Those Chevrons look similar to the much more expensive AlpineStars. I would want to check how well they stay on though as they don't appear to have a wrist strap. I like the Furygan D3O James gloves, but get yourself a shortlist then do try them all on, keeping in mind all the things to check. Let me know what you go for! Cheers, John
Lobster gloves from Oxford, look odd, but now my hands are toasty on those really cold days. Cheap too and not bulky on palm, unlike most winter gloves I tried.
Broke my wrist wearing quality shorty gloves going 40mph, not I will only wear full gauntlet gloves with wrist padding (hard to find) as most just add a cuff and knuckle with minimal stuff in between.
Alpinestars is one of the most popular brands that I've seen many knockoffs of and that scares 😨 me silly. It also fits my body type as good as Dainese. I prefer on stop shop!
Normally use RST but do have winter furygan , last week bought Richa feel good little longer up Over the wrist than the RST, can't comment on overall quality yet on the Richa ,
I am at my Motorcycle class and wearing a military glove. The tacky is causing me to over throttle. Is there a difference between Motorcycle gloves and others like construction or military?
In reality getting a good fit is difficult with gloves. It's not as easy as you say 4:10. The size description is different for every brand. You need to try several pairs of every brand. Different dealers stock different brands and sometimes the size you think may fit and you need to wait another week to try it on. The ratio of finger length to finger diameter varies. When you find a glove with a well cushioned palm the finger ratio is wrong. I have used two months looking for a glove that fits and failed so far. I have bought and use a pair that comes close, but my fingers go numb in an hour. I don't have that problem when riding with my ski gloves. I also didn't have that problem when I bought my first pair of motorcycle gloves back in the seventies. It may have something to do with the knuckle protectors making the upper side of the gloves stiffer. Unfortunately it's impossible to buy unapproved gloves where I live, so I can't verify that.
Fantastic review, I'm impressed by your experience of battery life on the RST Paragon, which are brilliant in the depths of winter. I don't seem to get as much as you but a spare pair of batteries solved that problem
No REV’IT gloves? I’m shocked! I try to buy as many gloves as possible! More the merrier! However, my go-to is Dainese. Just recently bought the Richa Atlantic Urban Gore-Tex gloves 🧤 Bloody fantastic! 👍🏻
i, too, was surprised not to see REV’ITs in the mix. Not blaming - i understand how you did the survey. Just my two cents but i LOVE my REV’IT Spitfire gloves. After four years one of the little fingers has now come apart at the seam and my attempts to fix it have failed but they feel great, no pain points, and very confidence inspiring. “On the other hand” I have a pair of REV’IT Taurus winter gloves and they are just ok. i couldn’t get the sizing right they never seem to be just the right temperature, etc. i think i need heated grips for winter. I don’t know how it is the UK but in the US the stores have a very poor selection of gloves and they are mostly cheaper gloves. i bought a pair of Alinestars summer shorts cuff gloves for about $129 and they’re horrible. they feel ok on my hands but as soon as i’m using them on the bike, the stitching is all wrong. So i guess i will just have to buy a bunch of different gloves over the Internet and return the ones that don’t fit. Thanks for the great review!
Firstly great content as usual. I notice that you have not included Keis G701s heated winter gloves, probably because they did not meet your criteria. However, you referenced to Keis as one of the two pairs of winter gloves you use. Keis is unfortunately not sold in Norway as far as i have found. Do you have experience with the G107s, and if so can you offer some experiences that you have with them. (Messy with import VTA and tolls if i need to return so i want to get it right 🙂)
I'm looking at getting my first set of kit hence being on this video. I dont care about matching brands as long as I look good and feel comfortable in them
I'd like to meet up with you and show you the Alpinestars GP Tech and see the minimal damage I did when I crashed in Portugal. I've been riding 30 years and I've always liked Alpine's gloves
I'm new here and am I missing something? I don't understand why only the brand names of the gloves are being mentioned throughout the video and the actual model names are excluded. Really confusing.
The biggest problem I have with gloves is the size. I usually get a large or extra large but have longer fingers and find very few gloves that fit properly. The only ones I have that fit well are a pair of BMW gore tex gloves that fit perfectly. I found them by luck just trying a pair on in the shop whilst waiting for my bike service. I have a cupboard full of others from all the top makers that I do wear but none fit as well as the BMW pair.
Do you know the key thing for me is a pair of winter gloves you can actually get on with damp hands, I come out of work my locks are wet it's raining and guess what it is a struggle to get fingers into my bellstaff gloves and my rst winter gloves. Maybe in the future you could do a test with damp hands 😅😅
I haven't ridden for years. I had a pair of gloves with an integrated visor wiper and I just assumed that most gloves were like that. Clearly I am wrong. Any budget friendly ones that you can recommend? I can't seem to find any 😢.
Best bet is to have a look at the reviews on www.bennetts.co.uk/bikesocial/reviews/products, and look at some of the big stores online to get a feel for what's out there, like Sportsbikeshop. Cheers, John
Nice overview. I'm actually looking for a replacement for some Rukka Apollo gloves. They were great in the wet. Always kept me dry, but were damaged by the strong UV after 10,000 miles in South America. They weren't insulated so could be used year round in a downpour. They did lack a little protection and didn't have capacitive tip. Rukka don't seem interested in making an updated version unfortunately.
@@bennettsbikesocial They were worn when it was raining or cold. Normally it's not hot when raining. I travel a lot, and always have two pairs of gloves. One to wear and one to change. On hot days I would wear Rev'It striker pro or Nutron, but Rev'It gloves tend to have rough seams and stitching inside that scratches the skin or sticks into the fingers creating pressure points.
while in lockdown I had to order about25-30 gloves to just find one par that fits me.. so sadly I couldnt be to picky with the safety. I really wanted palm sliders..
I too have a pair of Knox Converts,, not cheap and I,v had for maybe 5/6 years and I,v never got on with them ,,so uncomfortable... Best spring /autum glove is Helston s,,,just a really comfy leather glove,, as for winter I have a pair of Rukka Mars..they are not W/F and have little protection,,but they feel so nice,,,best advise for winter riding ,buy a pair of Held scooter muffs £20, they work a treat and work on my Himalayan and RT... Lidl /Aldi are cheap cheap but crap crap...

Love that 2 of my gloves got recommended or honourable mentions. The new coverts are great, loved the old ones but new ones feel amazing. Also without a doubt the Furygan Blizzards are worth every penny, possibly the most comfortable gloves I've ever worn and fit and finish is really impressive........but that flipping cable is silly expensive and was really hard to get hold of. You mentioned members getting to test kit from time to time, how do you get involved in that? I'd love to!
Yes. It doesn't matter where the seller is, uncertified motorcycle PPE should not be sold in the UK. Sadly eBay, Amazon and Facebook are yet to show any interest in this.
In that keis one looks like a ninja turtle... does wearing 'em increase the need to jump on a ducati? :D 'm wearing some pairs of held, they fit like a glove to my hand, good tactile feel, always true to size, ok ventilation and my hand nevr gets tired. 👍
I went against your advice and teabagged an electric fence, absolutely nothing happened so I'm wondering if I need to get a kettle on and drink it to feel the effect.
Possibly, though it could depend on the frequency of the pulses. • Did you sustain contact for long enough? • Was it a mains or battery-powered fence? • If battery was it 6V or 12V? • What type of shoes were you wearing - were you properly grounded? • Did flesh make full contact or was there hair offering resistance? • How hydrated were you at the time of teabagging? More testing required...
@@bennettsbikesocial I kept it on there for about a minute, mains power (240v), bare feet on wet grass, only the paper and a little of the string made contact and were as dry as they normally come from the packet... wait, hair? What are you, some sort of psycopath?!?!
@@jameshealy4594 Where's your mind at?! Hairs on your hands and fingers of course... perhaps you have exceptionally long finger hair that wraps around? Or something. Anyway, it's likely the fact the teabagging was done while dry that's the issue. Attempt your next dunk when it's moist and you should notice the effect. You might wish to apply some saliva, or ask someone else to help if you're feeling dehydrated and struggling to get the wetness desired
@@bennettsbikesocial I would continue but I think I strained something giggling. Thanks for all the videos, you're doing an amazing job and I think you're destined to be one of the top youtube motorcycle channels.
I can't find your video on Carvenal gloves? Is it hidden? I saw your review on why they're a scam and I want to return mine. They're total junk. I feel totally scammed Has anyone been able to successfully make a return with that company?
All our reviews are based on the kit we've tested, so they're completely honest (not just based on spec sheets). I've been trying for three years to make contact with Rev'It, but no joy at all sadly.
Unlike various others (e.g. Alpinestars, Five, Keis), Dainese doesn’t offer any CE Level 2 gloves. Also, many Dainese gloves get relatively poor results in MotoCAP tests.

Heated grips and rain...
Do you wear them over or under your jacket sleeve?
@@bennettsbikesocial LOL, you know the answer to that, but I refuse to change ;-)
I know you don't advocate which gloves to buy, but! it's nice knowing where to start and, not what to buy. Thanks.
as a Canadian I have to always adjust my interpretation of what Brits say is a season... here we have road-work and winter.
im suprised that a brand that solely creates motorcycle gloves 'Five Gloves', is not here. Their RfX1s are fantastic for sport and track riding
Also, Five probably offers more CE Level 2 gloves than most other brands (although Alpinestars is catching up).
Sad to see no Held or RS Taichi for the summer/sport gloves
Best gloves I've owned to date are my Held Titan RR's. Prior to these I had the Held Chikara RR's which were awesome. They do come up on the small side though.
Interesting how well BMW scored across the range of gloves and measures.
Only gloves I use Knox, have every single type they make. Had a big crash September 21, should have broke both hands, but nothing wrong with either. Right leg is something certainly different, still off work. But still have leg, so good news.
Sorry to hear that! Hope you're on the mend. Cheers, John
Do you still recommend the furygan D3O? And do you think they're ventilated enough for a tropical 32 °C? I absolutely love the looks and they are the most affordable among the easiest to import.
It is a shame Goldtop products were never featured. They make excellent gloves.
They just didn't have anywhere near enough respondents, sorry. As this consumer survey grows we should see more brands getting featured as I'll have more reliable data from a wider spread. Cheers, John
@@bennettsbikesocial I can fully understand their exclusion and I appreciate your integrity in these reviews.
@@Trevor_Austin Thanks! All the best, John
Congrats for the interesting video. Greetings from Portugal.

Gerbing heated gloves see me right all through the coldest weathers.
The timing of this is fantastic...
What gloves are you thinking of getting at the mo? Cheers, John
Need new short leather summer gloves, so still looking about online... about an hour's worth and then the video dropped
@@martinbeukes4773 Nice! What's your budget?
An other amazing video. Tells you what to look for jn a glove!!!!
Thanks very much! Cheers, John
Nice Informative....Please Upload Boot, Jacket And Pant Brand comparison
Lobster gloves from Oxford, look odd, but now my hands are toasty on those really cold days. Cheap too and not bulky on palm, unlike most winter gloves I tried.
Broke my wrist wearing quality shorty gloves going 40mph, not I will only wear full gauntlet gloves with wrist padding (hard to find) as most just add a cuff and knuckle with minimal stuff in between.
Sorry to hear that! Scaphoid protectors on the palms help the hand to slide, which can help reduce wrist breaks. All the best, John
Alpinestars is one of the most popular brands that I've seen many knockoffs of and that scares 😨 me silly. It also fits my body type as good as Dainese.
I prefer on stop shop!
Normally use RST but do have winter furygan , last week bought Richa feel good little longer up
Over the wrist than the RST, can't comment on overall quality yet on the Richa ,
I am at my Motorcycle class and wearing a military glove.
Thanks very much! Cheers, John
No REV’IT gloves? I’m shocked! I try to buy as many gloves as possible! More the merrier! However, my go-to is Dainese. Just recently bought the Richa Atlantic Urban Gore-Tex gloves 🧤 Bloody fantastic! 👍🏻
As these consumer surveys grow, we should see a wider spread of gloves as we'll have a larger database. Cheers, John
i, too, was surprised not to see REV’ITs in the mix.
I use Halvarssons Advance Outlast 100 persent happy with it
Firstly great content as usual.

Another great test - thanks
Thanks very much! Cheers, John
Fit is so tricky for a lot of people - glad you found some that work. Cheers, John
How much would one size bigger effect you just incase you wanted to wear thermal liners
It depends really. If they can pull off while fastened, then I'd recommend against it. Cheers, John
My issue is i seem to have short thumbs theres almost always too much flappy on the end =(
For me Dainese has the best gloves period, Rev'it is best premium affordable brand and Five gloves are best buy!
“On the other hand” 🤣 well played
Merlin just released some nice looking retro styled heated gloves. Very nice.
I saw some Merlin kit recently - does look good. Hopefully we'll get a chance to test it in future. Cheers, John
What is the exact model of the gloves held?
Nice overview. I'm actually looking for a replacement for some Rukka Apollo gloves. They were great in the wet. Always kept me dry, but were damaged by the strong UV after 10,000 miles in South America. They weren't insulated so could be used year round in a downpour. They did lack a little protection and didn't have capacitive tip. Rukka don't seem interested in making an updated version unfortunately.
Weren't they really hot in the sun?
@@bennettsbikesocial They were worn when it was raining or cold. Normally it's not hot when raining. I travel a lot, and always have two pairs of gloves. One to wear and one to change. On hot days I would wear Rev'It striker pro or Nutron, but Rev'It gloves tend to have rough seams and stitching inside that scratches the skin or sticks into the fingers creating pressure points.
@@defylifeadventure check the Apollo 2.
@@alexleier Too late, I bought the Apollo again last year for a good price. The Apollo 2 didn't seem to exist then. :(
That opening line made me spit coffee, you owe me a keyboard. 😂

Great thorough review yet again. I have the same Held 4 season gloves and agree they are my go to Autumn, Winter and rain gloves. Good work 👍🏻

Can you run heated gloves in the rain? Or will you get a mild electric shock if they leak?
No, you should be fine, unless they're incredibly badly designed. The top brands know what they're doing. Cheers, John
while in lockdown I had to order about25-30 gloves to just find one par that fits me.. so sadly I couldnt be to picky with the safety. I really wanted palm sliders..
just glue your own!
Personally, Garibaldi Gladius Pro made from Kangaroo jumped out at me when I was in the market for new summer gloves.
Are threre all year? Water proof gloves
Buying online, such as eBay, from a UK company....are they breaking the law if the correct label is absent?
Yes. It doesn't matter where the seller is, uncertified motorcycle PPE should not be sold in the UK. Sadly eBay, Amazon and Facebook are yet to show any interest in this.
Can I join Bike Social if I live in Australia?
Kangaroo leather IS the strongest, most supple and the highest (in leather) abrasive resistance of any leather glove.
It was not long ago, but CE-approved gloves are now mandatory in France as well…
That's why I had the opening saying how it's your choice to wear CE-approved gloves, unless you live in France.
@@bennettsbikesocial Of course... I'm not sure how I understood your opening. I must have been too tired!... ;-)
In that keis one looks like a ninja turtle... does wearing 'em increase the need to jump on a ducati? :D
'm wearing some pairs of held, they fit like a glove to my hand, good tactile feel, always true to size, ok ventilation and my hand nevr gets tired. 👍
I really struggle with gloves. My hands are long and thin so they're either too short in the finger or too wide across the palms.
Surprised by this review. I thought that Dainese would come on top overall. Not in price but in quality.
Unlike various others (e.g. Alpinestars, Five, Keis), Dainese doesn’t offer any CE Level 2 gloves.
Also, many Dainese gloves get relatively poor results in MotoCAP tests.
