thanks for the feedback! I totally agree, unfortunately this is one of my first videos and I uploaded before I realized the audio problem. Propur is great!
How often do you change the filters? According to their recommendation, you are supposed to change filters every year as they only last one year or until the water is being filtered too slowly but I have been using them for two years now and I am noticing that the filtering process has not slowed down but sped up. Is that a sign that they are not filtering well anymore and it's time for me to change the filters? Thanks
I've had a ProPure for more than 5 years. It is perfect, simple ,everyone thinks I have the best tasting water they've ever had. The filters are easy to clean, only do it every 6 months and they last for a few years in my house so they are economical even at 140.00 a pair. I love everything about this system.
I ordered a ProOne stainless steel system....should arrive tomorrow. One thing I've noticed about Berkey is that they come w/a plastic spigot...so you have to spend another $35 if you want a stainless steel one. ProOne comes w/a stainless steel one. I also like that ProOne has just 1 filter that takes out everything including fluoride....& has silver in it to help prevent nasties. For me, those are some advantages over Berkey. Even having said that, I"m glad people are buying & using any filtering system that filters out the over 200 contaminants !
@@filledathome9801 We have had the ProOne pitcher for a week...water tastes great...but not liking a few things about pitcher...so ( being just Ron & me), I ordered the traveler size (2.25 gal) which ,hopefully, will be a good size. I'll ask for return/refund on pitcher. It only holds 7 cups which has really kept me hoppin'. 😄
@@filledathome9801 I have done a ton of research, plus math ...yeah, it seems like the Traveler might work for us. Fingers crossed ! 🤞🙅♀️ Hope it arrives today.. I'm excited! Isn't it funny how we can be about a water filter?! 😄 Belated happy St.Pat's day. ☘🍀
The fluoride used in municipal water supplies, is industrial waste from places like the paper industries. Fluoride causes more problems than it solves, only most don't know it, because it happens slowly over time--so by the time thy notice problems from it, the damages are done. You really DO want to filter it out of drinking water, too, because municipal water systems do NOT have reliable equipment dosing it into the water supply...sometimes it's way too little, and sometimes way too much--toxic levels. Same thing re: the dosing machines that put chlorine/bromine into the water. [chlorine is OK for cooler weather, but turns nasty bad in hot conditions, so they usually convert to using bromine during hot summer weather.] Some municipalities use both chlorine AND ammonia--a toxic combination--to make sure water in the pipes does not grow bad germs. ..but that also means people are drinking some of that, which does not entirely go away in it's travels to your house.
Would you consider not having background music? It might help with subscribers and views. Unfortunately, I was not able to view the whole video for this reason., Take care.
I began to watch, because description says review, but it's only information from web-site.How you can state, that it removes everything if there are no test results? I don't like Berkey, they definitely overads and now we have real review on Berkey with test shows that it barely reduce here and there. But it's a question if Pro one is better. Look for real test reviews, not only shows.
Thank you so much, let me know how you end up liking the Propur filters! The Painting is one of my originals, I have the prints available in my Etsy shop: www.etsy.com/shop/AshleyPerusquiaArt?ref=seller-platform-mcnav
u put 1 set of filters on the bottom and 1 set on top so all the water is filtered thru BOTH types of filters. Otherwise some water is filtered thru ceramic and some water thru the charcoal filters only.
This right here was the review video that answered so many of my questions! Thank you for the helpful info! I would gladly use your link as a way to say thanks. However, could you consider adding an Amazon affiliate link for those like myself who will probably end up buying it from there but would love to use your link if there was one as a way to show appreciation for this awesome review! Maybe I can use your link for a future purchase as a way of saying thanks! God bless! :)
Thank you so much, I really appreciate you using my link and I’m glad I was able to help! Unfortunately Amazon won’t let me have an affiliate yet until I have more subscribers, so sorry!
Update: I got one (the big) and it's AMAZING! They are worth the wait and every penny! My family has been drinking more water as well and you can definitely taste the difference from a regular faucet filter to this. Get yourself one, you won't regret it! Also the company is awesome, I ordered the wrong size and they were happy to refund me after I sent it back for the correct size.
Well yes and no about Berkley NSF certification. It is certified for material compliance. It is also certified to remove chlorine, certification by WQA to NSF standards.
The Purpro, now ProOne, is certified the same as the Berkley, material compliance only. They make a lot of claims for contaminant removal on their website, but I haven’t reviewed how they preformed the tests. To be NSF certified to Standard 42 for contaminant removal, the test process is to run water with the spiked contaminant through the filter at 100% of the filters rated capacity and verify the removal rate at the end meets the EPA standards. For NSF 53, EPA Health Effects, contaminants the requirement is 200% of the filter rated capacity. Tests results for the Berkley show contaminant removal meet the EPA requirements, but the filter is rated for 3000 gallon and the tests used spiked water from as high as 50 gallons to as little as 0.5 liters. Therefore their reduction claims are only valid for that quantity of water. NSF certification for the ProOne. info.nsf.org/Certified/DWTU/Listings.asp?Company=C0250583&Standard=042
@@TYT695 I took a brief look at the ProOne test results, so of them were done to 100% of rated filter capacity. If you are looking for filters that are NSF certified to remove contaminants you can find them on the NSF website. RO systems are better than these, but are expensive and waste water. The Brita pitcher is certified by NSF to remove contaminants, and the Brita faucet filter is better. The best and most extensively tested by the NSF is type eSpring. Initial purchase is $1,042.00 but replacements filters are $208 for 1320 gallons, $0.16 per gallon. But I’m biased because I market it, but I spent months doing comparisons of contaminant removal claims and actual test results.
Super informative video! I have a berkey, can I used 2 berkey filters as well as 2 pro pur? I don't want my berkey ones to go to waste but want the fluoride filtering....thank you!
Thanks so much! Seems like technically you could use both if you still have some life left in your Berkey filters. It may be hard to test later to know when their done but you could definitely do that! Great idea!

Is there a chance that you could remove the music background? It really interferes with your message.
No need to remove the music simply reduce the volume.

I wonder if one could place a 1 oz .9999 silver coin in the bottom container to enhance the water with silver?
I noticed the bottom of the top unit appeared to have rust-is that correct or was it the lighting?
No rust, it must have been the lighting😃
Does this system remove minerals?
Yes it can strip minerals as well, many people add back in trace minerals after filtering, great question!
Your video would be much more helpful if you would turn down or turn off the background music. It is almost impossible to hear you over the music.
Your music is overwhelming while you were talking. I couldn't hear what you were saying.

I just bought one. I have the 7" filter and it takes only one hour for the water in the top to drain to the bottom. Does that sound too fast?
That sounds about right! That’s how long mine takes as well, keep in mind it depends on how many contaminates are in the water to begin with😃
It depends on your tap water quality but mine take less than 1 hour to filter when new, also my tap doesn’t have flouride.
