Very authentic places. Most cheap, a few fancy, but I can testify this guy has good taste and knowledge of street food as well as fine dining in Mx. Many other places should be in this list.
Thanks a lot, I appreciate the nice comments! CDMX is my favorite place to eat in all of Mexico, such a wide range of food for every budget. Let me know your favorite spots and I'll put them on my list for next time I'm able to spend some time there, thanks!
In Mexico City, tacos are more than just a delicious meal; they're practically a way of life! Locals will humorously tell you that there are more taco stands than street signs in some neighborhoods. Trying to choose the best taco spot can be a comical challenge, as the city's passionate taco vendors compete for the title of "world's tastiest taco." So, be prepared for some good-natured debates with new friends over which taqueria reigns supreme, because when it comes to tacos in Mexico City, the options are endless and the passion is undeniable! Thanks, ToddsMexico!
Great food video. Sometimes I get annoyed at all the seemingly fake gushing on some food videos, but you get it right and I can tell that you actually appreciate and understand what you are eating. Thanks and do some more.
This makes me miss the city so much! Things are starting to reopen very slowly here, including my local taco stand, so may have to head out and have some pastor in your honor this weekend!
I don't know if you remember, we met on Naked Island in Siargao a few years ago, when you were with Cody and Laura. Looking forward to seeing your Mexico City videos!
Just for your pronunciation - Spanish pronunciation rules would say that you should pronounce the i like a long e MEH-reeda but it doesn't come out that way. Mérida is pronounced MEH-rida with the i being short and the accent on the first syllable. Since the R is slightly rolled it comes out sounding like MEHdida. BTW, I live in Mérida. Watch the accent marks, they don't put them on street signs. Also Cochinita Pibil when done properly is pork in achiote, wrapped in banana leaves and cooked underground in a "pib". It has a smokey flavor to it. This is a specialty where I live but I don't think you're going to get cochinita cooked in a pib in México City. If you're ever in Mérida I can take you to a place that does. They only cook on Sundays and are sold out by 10 am and are wonderful people. One more thing. Turkey is VERY common in México! It was the primary meat before the Spanish brought pigs and is still extremely popular. People north of the border don't associate turkey with México but it's everywhere - even the ham is made of turkey (sadly). México consumes 2.5 times as much poultry as they do pork, a lot of that is turkey but probably more of it is chicken. The original recipe for mole was with turkey even though they use chickens now because they're easier to raise. Cheers!
This makes me both hungry and miss Mexicoooo
I know, so much good food!

@@ToddsMexico I went to Tacos Chanito ( I'm visiting from Colombia) and oh man!!! Absolutely loved it, told the guy you had recommended me the place.
So cool, glad you liked it! So funny I'm just writing my review for them on my new website.
Excelente amigo!, I am not in to fancy famous restaurants but definitely I'll like to try that Pujol side kitchen Molino, everything looks good.
Yes, try Molino el Pujol sometime, much cheaper than Pujol.
This guy is such a great host! He's so cute and makes such great videos

@@ToddsMexico We are in CDMX! Let's get a taco together!

Is there a list somewhere?
