HUGE THANKS to ExpressVPN for offering all Food Ranger viewers 3 months free and 49% off their yearly package using this link: ExpressVPN.com/Thefoodranger . Travelers need ExpressVPN to stay safe online and to unblock any site. I personally use it for Netflix, even while at home in Canada, but also while traveling to unblock content and episodes that are geoblocked, and I also use it for security, because airport wifi and hotel wifi is often very insecure, leaving my data vulnerable. I really admire how he respects everyone no matter where he goes and I admire more how he tries to speak their languages and try to connect with them. I also love that he does real street food. That’s what makes his show so amazing!
As an ex British chef I can say ...Mexican food is without doubt the best in the world! Es por eso que me casé con una mexicana :D Try Barbacoa tacos ;)
I’m Mexican and I so love how appreciative he is of Mexican culture. I am married to a Scottish man and he is the exact same way. My husband also gives the “awkward thumbs up” and speaks in almost the same EXACT manner when we are somewhere like the places in the video. He gets super excited and says the same things lol Mexicans love to see others enjoy our food so he’s doing a great job speaking to the vendors and he is expressing himself in such a way that I’m sure is flattering to the people who cooked the food. This guy is awesome 🇲🇽👌🏻

Not only Mexico is so rich in history and culture, but to me its the food Mecca of America as well. I have been there only once in my life and the food was an unforgettable experience - especially the beans and eggs!! And the people there were so friendly and full of smiles. Love you Mexico - salutations from Greece! :D

Sí, man. Yo soy de Torreón y vivo en CDMX desde hace 5 años y aún así me quieren cobrar más por algunas cosas. Pero lo bueno es que lo noto y se los digo y corrigen el precio hahaha
Seidy l.p. many mexicans are aware of India and Those indigenous Mayans got that name from India yes from us From east India. We r very ancient civilization. Christopher Columbus instead of entering to India he sailed across west and landed in America and thought that it was India. And from then all aboriginals are called as Indians.
Sarcastic creature the mayans did not got tge name from india it was given to them by the spaniards. They had their on name which was,Mayans,Aztecs, mixtecs, zapotecs ect just like the native americans who had their own names cherokee ect
Dude I love this guys reactions! 😂😂😂😂 it just so funny how he over reacts with joy with every bite of anything and everything! Keep up the good work .... definitely a fan of all your videos
The exchange between Trevor and the al pastor tacos guy is the most excruciating 2 minute exchange I’ve ever witnessed😂😂😂! I loved it! Hmmmmmmmmmmmmm, oh yaaah!
I like how this guy is not afraid of eating everything, many gringos I meet are afraid of things like eating tongue.. but oh boy tongue is one of the best things ever
I come from a Hispanic family. So the food at home is nothing like the way it is prepared in restaurants. It is hard to find places that actually sell what I am use to at home, spice was, and flavor wise.
:O? I'm Mexican, and all food I've ever had from home is very similar to food found in restaurants in Mexico. Sure, based on where you are some things can differ, but overall it's almost the same. :D
Not quite true. I knew a friend of non Hispanic origin, who made their enchilada sauce with tomato sauce. Yes, Enchilada sauce has tomatoes in it, or just a little teaspoon of tomato paste. But I am talking a whole can of tomato sauce. Sometimes, in the restaurants, especially ones for an American palette, tend to make a really sweet enchilada sauce or make a pico de gallo lacking any depth or flavor.
Jene Clyde oh ok. I thought you were referencing the video and Mexican restaurants in Mexico. American Mexican restaurants don't a robust a flavor as homemade or authentic Mexican. I
Thank you Thank You Thank you! for being an amazing human being and for respected all cultures. My (a super fan of your videos) and my mom watched your video and immediately we were hungry. I am Mexican and this video is a gift from you to all my country, thank you again! It is a pleasure to have you here in my beautiful country and for demonstrating to the rest of the world what an amazing country is Mexico. Believe me, those people that you filmed told their whole family that they were filmed by a foreign and it will be a story to tell for generations. We are a humble country and we are proud of our culture, specially about our food. We can eat in a restaurant but as well in the street and enjoy the moment. We love spicy food because we have love, happiness and passion in our blood. I am waiting here to watch the next video and it will be a dream come true to meet Ting Ting and you. I hope you can visit all my country and have a fascinating experience.
I’m from Mexico and you’ve got a new subscriber!. Really great video!, at the moment I’m away from my country and watching your video made me very happy! Que rica es nuestra gastronomía mexicana! ❤️
Honestly Trevor, sometimes I don't like you. I made the unfortunate mistake of watching this video before breakfast, and now all I want is Mexican food! Imagine me shaking my fist at you and screaming, "DARN YOU, TREVOR!!!" Great video, though!
same here but it was lunch time so I paused to go make myself a bean and cheese taco with lots of cilantro, lemon juice, and fresh jalapeno. Not as tasty as his pork tacos look but still hit the spot! His videos make me crave too!
I honestly love your spirit wherever you go! I can see how you light up people’s faces wherever you go, like you leave something special there and you keep it humble! Wow! All Mexican Delicious Foods in one video. Looks like Mexico is a awesome street food haven. Love for all street food. I love your street food show video, thank you very much for awesome video.
I really really admire you for your love towards each country's food and talking in the local language every country you go.! This is unbelievable and incredible by a RUclipsr. I dnt think there is any other food ranger like him.! I just love the way you admire everybody.! Your vocabulary in praising their food. Keep enjoying your trips to countries. We enjoy watching your videos. 🤗💕😂🤩💃🧡
I want to thank you for this incredible videos about mexican food. It was so fun to see how you discover the dishes I usually eat everyday. I hope that you have a fantastic trip in Mexico. See you soon!
Thank you for another video! I get stabby at all the comments saying how awkward your interactions are and all that - kudos to you for trying to communicate with their language in their country. One thing I would like to say is, avoid telling someone how delicious their food is before you try it. I get that your Spanish is limited but when it is tasty it seems fake because you've already said you liked it. Kind of like salting food before you try it. That's probably the cause for the odd stares from the vendors. I love your videos, definitely keep them coming and thank you!
Not sure what part of México you will go, but if you come to Culiacán, here are some GREAT recommendations: La Única (Cow head stews, hand-made tortillas. Try some "quesadilla con asientos", which are quesadillas wiped with some of the pork drippings from the oil {a delicacy in these parts}) [24.832899, -107.395546] El Pariente (tacos of innards, the specialty are the "buceados" which are extra golden) [24.818688, -107.417648] Tony (a goatmeat stew called 'birria' with plenty of clove and cinnamon; there's a few branches around town) [24.825881, -107.41973] Taquería Morelos (probably the best tacos in town, with the best sauces and tortillas) [24.788789, -107.405468] Taquería San Martín (tacos "al pastor" which is a marinade made with orange juice, on a vertical rotisserie) [24.784014, -107.41112] Chivi's Burger (a proper Mexican hamburger) [24.81509, -107.374885] Pizzeta (a chain of pizzerias with many local flavors) [all over town] Tejuino (a local corn-based drink; have it with the lemon sherbet) [24.798519, -107.404167] El Erick (seafood... inside a coconut!) [24.817191, -107.435249] Sushi Factory (a laboratory of sushi and Asian dishes with a distinct local taste) [24.82211, -107.40047] La Herradura (a buffet of local home-made dishes on the outskirts of town) [24.806678, -107.33311] El Cerrito (a far out breakfast place with an absolutely wonderful view of the mountains with hand-gliding) [25.5808, -107.34936] {If you go out of town, keep your eyes out for "Pan de Mujer", which is a local type of farmer's bread eaten here with all kinds of fillings} Panamá (a chain of home-cooked meal restaurants with an amazing selection of beverages) [24.813775, -107.397492] Jiā China (great Chinese-Mexican food) [24.814082, -107.43314] Fuman-Shu (another great Chi-Mex place with a more local flavor) [24.789829, -107.41171] You can also of course find all of the local favorites in the "centro" (or downtown), such as esquite (corn in a cup with an assortment of sauces) or tosti-esquites (the same, but in a bag of Tostitos), popsicles/ice creams (try the 'chamoy' flavor, a type of spicy sauce made of pickled fruit), ceviche (a type of shrimp cocktail with cucumber, tomato, onion, chili, cilantro and lots of lime) or cevichurros (the same but with hard-coated peanuts, spicy gummies and crunchy corn snacks). You can also go to Forum (a local mall) for a pretty good food court (my favorite is Doña Tota which has gorditas of all kinds of fillings). Lots of good stuff to eat!
Hey Trevor, isn't it fascinating how the same flavors tend to coalesce on opposite sides of the world? Take two extremely isolated places like mexico and vietnam and just compare. The fresh onion, cilantro, lime, chili..... cool huh? It's not simply a coincidence, the balance of food and flavor is more of a science than people might think.
The flavor profiles of the ingredients themselves? Yeah, lime from mexico and lime from vietnam will differ. Likewise, vietnam has a preference for culantro over cilantro. As for onion and chilies, these have the fewest differences. None of that, of course, relates to the point I was making.
What the frick!!! Those tacos al pastor are just a few blocks from my house!! That's awesome Food Ranger I really hope that you have had some great time in Mexico :D
I would like to thank you for all the respect you have not only for mexican culture, but for any other whose country you visit. Form the effort you make when speaking their language to the point when sometimes you don’t like the food but still compliments it as there are different tastes, you truly show the importance and uniqueness of each place you go. Thus, you try from simple foods to some that are really extreme, you are just amazing!
I've been waiting for you to go to Mexico. I enjoyed going to those machete quesadillas as a kid. Sadly I haven't gone in a few years. Enjoy all the authentic Mexican food!
Trevor, we've been waiting excitedly to see your reaction to Mexico! My wife and I love this country and we have family there too. I've never seen a fresh food market in Mexico City like you you found; oh I want an octopus ceviche tostada and I want it now!! Great to see you having fun again. Oh - I meant to add for other readers that if I remember correctly the Al Pastor in Mexico and Central America originated with Turkish diaspora moving into the region around 200 years ago. I love all these unusual historical food influences; akin to the Tea Horse Road history.
Great episode! My 10 year old son and I watch your videos almost every night, great content. My son says he would try the eye and tongue but definitely not the brain!
I love Mexican food because it's often Gluten Free and I have Celiac Disease. Plus my mom is Mexican and caldo de res is my go to comfort food. Mom and I are going to go to Casas Grandes soon so this makes me excited to go.
TREVOR BROTHER- I went so DEEP with you on this Mexican tour that I was literally on the bottom of the Marianas Trench at the bottom of the sea with a shovel yelling "Hey bring me 2 more Machete Quesadillas"!!! AMAZING my man, bring us more!!! You just became the KING of all food on RUclips!!!
OMG I feel so much joy watching him go to many places I go to normally and really enjoy it and show it as something big and important to our culture, wish I had ran into him tho :/
Been watching to for a long time I can believe you came to Mexico city I'm from and live here your a wonderful person that you enjoy everywhere you go hope you have a great time in Mexico 😙😙😙 Your Spanish is great !!!
Love your videos! I haven’t been to Mexico but everything looks so good!!! And I love you use all the Spanish words you can! You have to come to Chile if you like sea food! You will have a great experience here!!! 🇨🇱🇨🇱🇨🇱🇨🇱

deepthi vaishnavy yse fgucjdfhchgh gjdjcjjchwi
David Murillo haha sweet but you can see how it might make someone uncomfortable.
Good for you man
I want to thank you for this incredible videos about mexican food.
Yes! FInally a comment that is respectful and actually educating instead of insults!
Not sure what part of México you will go, but if you come to Culiacán, here are some GREAT recommendations:
La Única (Cow head stews, hand-made tortillas. Try some "quesadilla con asientos", which are quesadillas wiped with some of the pork drippings from the oil {a delicacy in these parts}) [24.832899, -107.395546]
El Pariente (tacos of innards, the specialty are the "buceados" which are extra golden) [24.818688, -107.417648]
Tony (a goatmeat stew called 'birria' with plenty of clove and cinnamon; there's a few branches around town) [24.825881, -107.41973]
Taquería Morelos (probably the best tacos in town, with the best sauces and tortillas) [24.788789, -107.405468]
Taquería San Martín (tacos "al pastor" which is a marinade made with orange juice, on a vertical rotisserie) [24.784014, -107.41112]
Chivi's Burger (a proper Mexican hamburger) [24.81509, -107.374885]
Pizzeta (a chain of pizzerias with many local flavors) [all over town]
Tejuino (a local corn-based drink; have it with the lemon sherbet) [24.798519, -107.404167]
El Erick (seafood... inside a coconut!) [24.817191, -107.435249]
Sushi Factory (a laboratory of sushi and Asian dishes with a distinct local taste) [24.82211, -107.40047]
La Herradura (a buffet of local home-made dishes on the outskirts of town) [24.806678, -107.33311]
El Cerrito (a far out breakfast place with an absolutely wonderful view of the mountains with hand-gliding) [25.5808, -107.34936] {If you go out of town, keep your eyes out for "Pan de Mujer", which is a local type of farmer's bread eaten here with all kinds of fillings}
Panamá (a chain of home-cooked meal restaurants with an amazing selection of beverages) [24.813775, -107.397492]
Jiā China (great Chinese-Mexican food) [24.814082, -107.43314]
Fuman-Shu (another great Chi-Mex place with a more local flavor) [24.789829, -107.41171]
You can also of course find all of the local favorites in the "centro" (or downtown), such as esquite (corn in a cup with an assortment of sauces) or tosti-esquites (the same, but in a bag of Tostitos), popsicles/ice creams (try the 'chamoy' flavor, a type of spicy sauce made of pickled fruit), ceviche (a type of shrimp cocktail with cucumber, tomato, onion, chili, cilantro and lots of lime) or cevichurros (the same but with hard-coated peanuts, spicy gummies and crunchy corn snacks). You can also go to Forum (a local mall) for a pretty good food court (my favorite is Doña Tota which has gorditas of all kinds of fillings). Lots of good stuff to eat!
paonquinho Great work mate.
Make a shirt that says “es increible”
SBois or a shirt with just "mmmmmmm" and a thumb up lol
What is “increíble “? Toronto? I agree..... love cannucks!❤️
My mouth was watering the whole entire time 🤤🤤🤤🤤❤️❤️❤️❤️
Hey Trevor, isn't it fascinating how the same flavors tend to coalesce on opposite sides of the world? Take two extremely isolated places like mexico and vietnam and just compare. The fresh onion, cilantro, lime, chili..... cool huh? It's not simply a coincidence, the balance of food and flavor is more of a science than people might think.
although the ingredients may be similar, the flavor profiles are COMPLETELY different in Mexico VS Vietnam.
The flavor profiles of the ingredients themselves? Yeah, lime from mexico and lime from vietnam will differ. Likewise, vietnam has a preference for culantro over cilantro. As for onion and chilies, these have the fewest differences. None of that, of course, relates to the point I was making.
Philippino foods are a lot similar to Mexican ones like chicharron and pit barbacoa
A very cool point Chris! The first time I noticed this idea was realizing that I haven't been to a country in the world that doesn't have meatballs.

I'm from Monterrey Mexico!! Mexico is full of many variations of foods, flavors and more!! If you come, i can recomend to you some places here
I would like to thank you for all the respect you have not only for mexican culture, but for any other whose country you visit.
My son says he would try the eye and tongue but definitely not the brain!
so great that you watch it together. Food is so good to share and talk about.
