For anyone wondering "what happened to them", they are still there, and apparently prospered. I found my way to this video because I was befuddled by a genetic cluster which showed up at this precise place in a "fine scale population structure study" of Ireland - one of only 3 clusters on the entire Island which were not exclusively or predominately Gaelic. It was pretty satisfying to find such a clear answer to the mystery so quickly.

Also I remember hearing the song by Led Zepp " In My Time of Dyin " during my drug years and made me think about death and Jesus. Then a hippy friend that dug Jesus told me more of Jesus love and forgiveness and how I could also know Jesus love. So in 1981 I cried out to Jesus and wow man He came into my life and I had and have so much joy and peace and now know that through Jesus when I die I will be with Him in Heaven. Hey Jesus loves each of you also and yall can know Him if you are at all open. Just cry out to Him and a good question to ask yourself if you were to die today would you go to heaven ? When you could buy a house and a country acre for 12'000 pounds now there is no chance of being allowed to live in a caravan in a field due to regulations, along with prosperity came the rat race I preferred the Ireland of the 70s now everyone is glued to their phones and soo politically correct its pathetic.
