Hy I m from pakistan .I ❤ all your patterns.I am a beaginner crochating . thankx for sharing tutorial ❤❤❤❤.The video is s fantastic also 😊 Keep new patterans coming ❤❤❤❤❤❤
This is a really great pattern but if you could be a little slow with your instructions would be great for beginners as well, also you have used terminology in between which beginners will not know about so if you could explain that would be amazing.
Yes it was going way too fast and I had to pause and rewind 100 times and some of the stitches I don’t remember how to do so I had to keep rewatching to see how it’s done or look them up on another RUclips video
Yes, use the settings to slow down the playback- 0.5 or 0.75 speed. I also used other short youtube tutorials to explain some of the stitches like the V stitch and front post DC. I’m on that bit now hopefully will end up with a baby hat soon! 😃
Hi Sara love this beautiful hat...so I had the soft and shiny yarn #4 yarn by Loops and thread and used a 5mm hook...But when I got to a few rows of the head realized it was looking bigger...and the measurements were way off..hahah so with trial and error I used a 4mm because the yarn is so soft and this time the measurements were spot on like your one...I make a note of every type of yarn and hook size so I can reference if I want to make it bigger or smaller for this particular yarn..Thank you once again!! 🤩🥰
Thank you for the pattern. I just finished making this one, more to do in different sizes. I'm making them for my hospital. Your patterns are very nice and easy to do. Thanks again for the size chart and your videos. Great Job👶🤩👍🧶
I had to take the time to tell you that this is the easiest pattern I’ve found for a baby beanie! Thank you so much for sharing this, I will be making this one from now on ❤
I really do want to make this beanie but is it possible for you to go slower, with closeups of how you make the fans. I became lost when you turned the work around and started the front post stitch. I’m not a beginner but this is a new pattern with the fan and front post stitch and it is all going way too fast for me.
I hope y'all find this as funny as I do, I used a medium weight 4 yarn and the recommended hook size was 6.5 I sized down to a 5mm and to no surprise I managed to fail hilariously (I cannot for the life of me make hats I've tried and failed for years at this point it's my curse lmao 😂 id rather make a fingerling weight queen size blanket than make a hat at this point) I thought this was so cute and matched the border of the baby blanket I made for an upcoming baby shower I figured I'd give it a try, why not right? Y'all I made a doily 😂😂 it was completely my fault for trying to play with sizing and gauge without knowing what I was doing but it was just too funny not to share, and now the mom has a little doily to display the matching booties when baby outgrows them 😂😂
Oh I so relate my story is that I crochet all hat sizes and since my stroke I am have to start over as a beginner and quite frustrating. You can slow down the speed of the video that may help you. ❤
I have a marshmallow stitch cardigan and hat. Here’s the link ruclips.net/video/kxw5x34_ABw/видео.htmlsi=OEnly1JsqLf3OdXU and you can find more here ruclips.net/p/PLiGQpEa3IKJ9ZZmfc6uS3xW0RTgPCCz7r&si=zsf6YtKBhqW8uIjG
I am remaking the hat to see if I can get it smaller. So far, for the 0-3 size hat and size 4 yarn, a 2.75 mm hook is needed. That is one size below Size d.
Yes unfortunately that can happen with standard sizes since not all children are the same size. The most accurate way would be to take hey head circumference instead.
You explain nice but you didnt say how many row for other maserment thatlike 9 to 12 month , 1 year to 24 month i made 1 year to 24 month but i dont understand how many rows i make please replay my comment you told starting for all meserment but after the 6 you didnt say
Lovely pattern but since I’m a beginner and your pattern is for beginners, I found your voice too fast and as I’d never heard of ‘front post’ stitch, I no wished you had gone slow there and explained more clearly. I had to rewind dozens of times to understand it and only when I went on another tutorial that taught me ‘front post’ stitches, did I understand. So hopefully my little hat I’m making for a friends new Grandchild works out.
I also have no idea how to do a V stitch, and despite stopping and starting your video, watching closely, the V stitch was done so quickly I couldn’t follow it. I did try to find how to do a V stitch but they weren’t relevant to your pattern?
So confusing. She is saying v stitch but it appears she is doing a single crochet, chain 2, then another single crochet. ??? I’ve never done a v stitch like this. Not describing what she is doing for the v stitch has made me just stop and figure out how to finish it my own way. I’ve now had to stop 2 videos of hers because what she is saying doesn’t seem to align with what she is doing.

Is it just me or is anyone else struggling with how the pattern ends up with the required amount of DC at the end of every round? I’m not missing any stitches but I’m needing to force in extra DC to get the required amount at the end of the round😅
Okay 2 weeks later, trying another beanie, and my DC have given me the right amount at the end of every row…. No idea what I was doing wrong the first time!!! Anyway great pattern :)
I’m always so disappointed when watching your beautiful items being made. I say that because it seems you only use #3 light yarns. Wish you had some of them in # 4 worsted. Not a great crocheter so it’s difficult for me to get the size I want with a #4 & trying to follow you. You truly make very beautiful items😊😊
I do have lots of tutorials with number 4 yarn. Here’s a little hat I did recently ruclips.net/video/q9TsSEf6jsg/видео.htmlsi=DP51llK9PhmnJf_H you can find the complete set here ruclips.net/p/PLiGQpEa3IKJ9ZZmfc6uS3xW0RTgPCCz7r&si=XoSJ3Jm6Tn4XJyU3
Wow thank you for your reply!! I just made this hat with # 4 weight yarn & used a 4mm hook came out perfect!! Now I’m going to try a pair of booties which I haven’t had much luck with LOL Oh I forgot to mention I did make one of your sweater patterns also which came out a bit bigger than I had thought however it is fine😊😊 My 1st grandchild / granddaughter is due in December!! So I’ve been making things all summer cause like I said I’m not the best crocheter and it takes me a while to make things 😊😊😊 Again thank you & love your work 💖💖
Thank you for your comment but even as an experienced crocheter there is no way to follow the video without having to stop and replay so please don’t feel bad if you can’t keep up. This is a tutorial not a follow along, you WILL need to stop and replay 😉
So adorable.
Gorgeous hat
Thanks for this pattern. Your instructions are very clear and easy to understand. I have made this hat and the matching sweater. Really appreciate it!
Might you make another video for us slow pokes?
Cute hat
You can slow it down.
I made my first hat watching your video. You are simply amazing. Thanks a ton for showing us such simple and yet beautiful hat.
You’re welcome 😊

great pattern..I've made it several times
Glad you like it! 🤗
This is a really great pattern but if you could be a little slow with your instructions would be great for beginners as well, also you have used terminology in between which beginners will not know about so if you could explain that would be amazing.
I second this!
Yes it was going way too fast and I had to pause and rewind 100 times and some of the stitches I don’t remember how to do so I had to keep rewatching to see how it’s done or look them up on another RUclips video
You can change the playback settings on the video. Tap the settings icon.
Going to fast after the fan please redo I love hat but I don’t have it!
Yes, use the settings to slow down the playback- 0.5 or 0.75 speed. I also used other short youtube tutorials to explain some of the stitches like the V stitch and front post DC. I’m on that bit now hopefully will end up with a baby hat soon! 😃
Can you do a new born hat video thank you very nice
You can make it with measurements provided in the tutorial or just use a slightly smaller hook size and make it exactly like this pattern

You are so welcome! 🤗
Thank you for the left handed patterns.
You’re very welcome 😉
I love all your patterns. I am a beginner crocheting and your directions are very easy to follow. Thank you. Keep new patterns coming 😃
You are so welcome!
You lost me at back loop half double crochet so I just finished with single crochets. It’s not as fancy but the pattern is still very sweet. Thanks.
Thank you, beautiful pattern ❤
Going to do this one lovely ❤❤❤❤❤ I am slow learning thank you love it
Wonderful! Thanks for watching 🤗
Thank you very much. This is very easy once you get past the circle especially being left handed. Do you do left hand videos?

Adorable. Thank you!
thank you so much...worked up so beautifully....i love all your patterns!!!
You’re very welcome 😉
I made two of these but on the second one I did the fan on the inside and the second row on the outside. I found I liked that pattern better.
thank you very much , I love your hat , it so cute
Thank you so much 😊
Merci 🥰💐

I live in the UK & love your designs howeverI would use s DK wight for this pattern would that be ok 😃😃
Yes absolutely! Dk is equivalent to #3 yarn and Aran is the equivalent to #4 yarn. Thank you for your support 💕
Gracias por compartir muy hermoso tejidos
Love it thank you so much for your clear instructions and measurements given.
You’re very welcome ☺️
Nice ❤️👌
If i need to make it for 2 years baby so what size need do i need
thank you for the size information. The video is fantastic also
You’re very welcome 😉
Lovely cute little hat thank you so much .I will make a few for the charity I crochet for.love your tutorials.💝💝
Thank you so much 😊
It’s a beautiful pattern but I definitely wouldn’t call Thai east for a beginner! Especially the pattern after all the fans are done.
Another great tutorial. Your talent is amazing!
Aww thank you 🫶

Is the hook size the same for all sizes
With the measurements provided you can use any hook size and yarn weight
Do you count the 2 ch at beginning of row as a stitch (dc) when counting at end of rows?
As mentioned in video, no it doesn’t count.
@@CrochetForBaby thank you for pointing out it was in video, must have missed it trying to keep up!
Really great!! I modified it to fit what I needed and added some bear ears and it’s the cutest hat I’ve ever made!
Great job! 👏

Hi I was wondering if u could do a tutorial on how to make a bolero with long sleeves for 9mths to 1 year old please
I am remaking the hat to see if I can get it smaller. So far, for the 0-3 size hat and size 4 yarn, a 2.75 mm hook is needed. That is one size below Size d.
Thank you. I'm a beginner and you really made this easy to follow.
You need explain what doing better or show everything that doing slower for beginners pl
Where is the pattern? I couldn’t find it. Would love to make.
Here’s the link to my Etsy shop where you can find it. Simply search hats in my Etsy shop search field www.etsy.com/shop/crochetforbabystore
I tried making for my 2 year old neice but the measurements made it a bigger than her size.. I followed all the instructions!
Yes unfortunately that can happen with standard sizes since not all children are the same size. The most accurate way would be to take hey head circumference instead.
This would be great if slower, and explain better.
It’s not for beginners.. she went too fast
If you use size 4 yarn and an E hook you will get a hat that is 3-6 mos size.
Love this hat. Do you have booties in the same pattern. I made the jacket and the pants, but I don't see any booties in the same pattern
No I don’t.
@@CrochetForBaby Ok, thank you. I will do another pattern to finish the set
It's a very easy tutorial but my circle at the beginning kept overlapping, idky

You just keep making rows until you have the measurements 😅

What is a V stitch?
It’s a double crochet , chaine 1 and double crochet in the same stitch , I looked it in RUclips lol
@@soumiabenidir7284 Thank you! Some terms I don’t recognize, making for my Grandson due 9/23.
