Thank you for the video, I need to change a rad valve as the pipe has fractured just below the valve.
Great video. Perfectly explained.
Wonderful video thank you 😊
Is a radwrench the same as a basin spanner/wrench?
If it is a sealed system I take it you have to depressurise first???
can u replace a two valve radiator with a four valve radiator
so, you still need to buy a pipe freeze kit then?
If you fit a valve with a drain-off make sure the drain-off is closed. Mine came out of its bag in the open position. I didn’t notice and flooded the floor as soon as the radiator valves were opened !
Excellent! Have ordered kit today. What a lot of mean minded comments about this.
Nice one, great idea.
Cracking idea, and I'm a professional plumber gonna buy one
I dont have an issue draining down then just pop the valve off new olive installed..... job done.
Got one of these for DIY and they're awsome, used to remove 6 radiators whilst decorating and also fitted muoltiple new TRV's. Only issue is it's easy to split the rubber shield so buy spares if you will use more than a handful of times, also worth getting other spare bits that you can find online (i bent a pinch bolt). I think my only criticism of the kit is that it's not very robust but none the less it does a good job.
thanks
What’s a little water for a half a minute?
fantastic
Please have a look at one of our other videos, " Dangers of removing central heating radiators " here on youtube, Thank you.
Let some pressure out then just plug the rad with tissue.
Wow that really is simple. Do you have to drain your system before you change the valve? Wouldn’t water flow out of the pipe??
lol
Did u actually watch the video ? What a silly question !!🙄
use a piece of plumbers mate putty on the rad instead of that stupid kit?
Agree
Yeah very nice, but as well as the £20 for clamps you'll pay another £20 for freezer kit
Freezer kit common knowledge
I wouldn't mind having a pair a rad clamps right enough, but you're as well just bunging it by turning the valve to face you whilst off, and then turning it on til the water stops.
if it leaking you cant Freeze it, cant Freeze Runnin water Simples!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! call a plumber
gerard greensmith ..... Gerard your comment is incorrect........ YES you can freeze running water .......
The kit is a load of rubbish , cost me £15 or more , ruddy rubbish
