- Played through Undertale Yellow a while back and I really enjoyed it! So much so in fact that I deviated a bit to make a little something to commemorate it, seriously everyone involved did a great job!
Being based off of Genocide's Ceroba fight, this idea was sparked off by the enemy being unsparable even if her name becomes yellow when on low hp, likely due to an oversight. Well, this hinges on that not being the case!

Honestly, sparing Ceroba here is far worse than just killing her. In this scenario she's given a fate worse than death. She lost her husband, she lost her daughter, and now she also lost her childhood friend, the only ones who are still there for her in any sense of the meaning are Dina and the Feisty Four if they ever return to the Wild East. And even then, she's been given the Alphys treatment from OG undertale if Mettaton and/or Undyne is killed in a Neutral route. Ceroba will never be the same, if she doesn't end up doing to herself what Clover didn't do to her that is.
Same with zeneth
that's just wrong, everybody can recover eventually. sparing her means that eventually, she'll escape the underground, get to meet frisk, and other things

If this route does abourt geno (which im sure of it since the shadow on Clover's face disappear at the end) that means we'll go to the neutral route, in which (spoilers) Flowey resets it all and Ceroba will forget about this
@@KwikBR well none of that actually because even if she somehow held on, even if barely because of Dina and the Feisty Four, if she got to meet Frisk she'd probably want them dead on the spot. But none of this matters, since we all know how the neutral route of undertale yellow plays out after Axis

It should have forced you to repeatedly spare her while she begs for the sweet release of death, like she does in pacifist
that would make it more realistic since at that point you’ve taken everything from her and she wouldn’t want to be left alive anymore

Fun fact: in undertale yellow genocide you can actually spare almost every boss. By exhausting your kill count in the ruins before you fight the bat. The bat will flee and you wont fight them. You can actually spare dalv and still do genocide as long as you kill all of snowdin (and you can get the sliver scarf too) Martlet just runs away like normal. Exhausting you kill count before you reach the dancing dude (idk some of their names) makes the dancing dude not fight you. You have to kill starlo and ceroba if you want to stay on genocide. Then of course you got too kill axis but other than that you can spare half the bosses and still do genocide :)
Another weird fact: if you don't do Geno in the ruins you can go to snowdin and kill more monsters than you can in Geno. Each room has a kill count once the room has exhausted it's kill count it'll not let you encounter enemies there anymore. Do this for every room in Snowdin an potential you can fight normal martlet at lvl 9?!?! (You can't get to lvl 9 in Geno until after martlet trust me I tried) then you can the exact same thing in the dunes and you should end up at lvl 12 or 13 depending on who you kill. Steamworks doesn't give any exp besides axis. You can still go to the hospital at lvl 13 and get 84/68 HP which I thought was kinda funny :3

@@ViniciusDiasissy bug or not it's a fun thing to do. You can actually get the sliver scarf before you go back on genocide too. Which is good for martlet if you are bad a dodging

An Undertale Yellow animation from JQR wasn't something I was expecting but it's definitely a pleasant surprise.

@@johay899she tries to chase after you but she melts before she reaches you, giving you lv 20 qnyways. in mtt resort, flowey talks about how clover seemed to doubt their actions, finishing off with "Look, they probably put up their defenses, so i'll see what we can do, but hey! On the bright side, you got a brand new ability, correct? with this, asgore doesnt stand a chance against you!". On the way to asgore, you hear flowey muttering to himself from under the ground, "huh... that's odd... where are the save points at?", once you get to asgore, many things could happen, but if they end up fighting there, flowey would likely get angry at clover for killing the king before he got to show the souls, and feeling afraid once he realizes that he cant reload, you get the choice to either spare him and go to the surface without revealing the soul jars, or you shoot him.

Funny. But in all seriousness, i feel that it would be cool to have a yellow text saying "JUSTICE" as Clover's answer. Just like in the end of the route , when Clover imteracts with stuff.

Lowkey lost the opportunity of pulling an "Your choices dont matter" with Clover shooting Ceroba Axis first encounter style when she surrounds them with bullets.

I know that kinda loses the point of the video, but such a thing would be a cool way to show us that after you put Clover and Ceroba in this situation, there is no way back and your actions have consequences regardless.
It was smthing i considered when making it and although tempting, you wouldn't be past the 'point of no return' yet here (since you can still spare Axis later on, that line is really only ever crossed after his death)
On another note, another idea was just to have Ceroba Sans dunk you which woulda been quite humorous, courtesy of the man, the myth, the legend: Doru

We need an ending where Clover fights off ASGORE and get's FLOWEY his the human souls like he did in the OG UNDERTALE, with maybe a bad ending while at it from the perspective of the Monsterkind
this is honestly so well made and never felt out of character for ceroba, dina etc dialouge wise; very well done

What if Ceroba actually fought with Clover from the start of the Axis battle?
If ceroba tried killing clover after being spared flowey would prob interfere at some point.
He probably knew it wouldn't work.
If you ever make another what if for Undertale Yellow it would be interesting to see an aborted genocide route scenario right before you meet the Fiesty Five where the town is still evacuated and everyone doesn't forget what you did.
Try looking up 'Dust Devil'! It's a fan mod in the making which centers around that and looks pretty good in every regard!
I'll probably hold off on doing it since others are already attempting it, and better

After seeing the alternative routes of Ts!Underswap this concept could be interesting to have some type of Semi-Genocide/Evacuation Route in UT Yellow
Tbf aborting uty's geno run when you're going to go to steamworks afterwards would mean nothing knowing that theres no living person on steamworks, a better example of an evacuation neutral run happening would be aborting on snowdin martlet and having evacuation neutral run-style changes on the dunes

There's already a mod for UTY that makes the elevator in the hotel functional on neutral allowing you to go to Asgore and get a similar ending to Flawed Pacifist.

Even though you spared her, it could still be genocide since in this game you can spare Dalv and continue genocide on snowdin and also you will probably reach LV 19 on the Axis fight but i guess i makes sense since Clover on genocide gets rid of everyone who is on their path to get justice, anyways great video as always!

Seeing the character of Ceroba, she would fight you until death, she would not give up fighting you and avenging Starlo. (which is why you can’t spare her in the main game)
I know, I know, I tried framing it more like she's become too weakened to fight back and having no choice other than to accept mercy, tried to show it a bit more with how she attempts to fight clover even after but ultimately falls back down due to being too beaten to continue (Very unrelated example, but, think of it like how you have to weaken pokemon so you have an increased chance of trapping them in a ball, similar to that!)
The whole reason for this being made is morso due to the yellow name oversight once she's weakened, made me go, 'What if?'
And the fact that she's too weak to even kill us because of how many times we hit her is Just stupidly cruel like imagine losing your child hood friend in front of you and you can't even kill who did it because you're too weak thank God the creator of under tale yellow didn't add that in

I'm pretty sure Clover would kill Ceroba since she is trying to get justice for her friend, which would contradict his sense of justice, that would get him to go nuts
It is a "what if", so of couse it wouldn't make 100% sense
And you can still spare the robots and Axis later and abort geno, so It's not like Clover would be far to so spare Ceroba
Can you do a what if about the feisty four fight like if you kill them all or if you only kill one OR if you kill three but sparing the one i would love to see the reaction and the consequences.
What is sad about this is that you can ACTUALLY do this to Dalv in the game. You can kill every single person in the Dark Ruins, and the last thing Dalv will say before just going to his room in his house is, "Now I am truly alone..."
I am one of the very few people that am of the opinion that the genocide routes in both Undertale and Undertale Yellow are completely justified acts to commit. But even I will admit that doing this to Dalv, or in this video, Ceroba, is extremely messed up.

Sparing dalv is actually better because you can temporarily lose your no mercy route to get the scarf side quest and then kill all of snowdin afterwards to continue it. The scarf makes snowdin martlet and ceroba the uncerobing so much easier. You might argue that you’ll be underleveled but not if you kill the higher exp monsters in each area. You can look up which those are yourself. Makes me wonder if you could do this with ceroba in this hypothetical scenario.
I don't understand how you could think the geno route is justified at all, especially in UT (when looking at Frisk's POV).
Both UT and UTY's geno routes are completely based on hunting down and exterminating monsters, all for power.
Its worse in UT because saving and loading is something Frisk would be aware of. If you were in the same position as them, you'd have the moral responsibility to do a pacifist route, because you know its possible to get past everyone with very little fighting.
@@evilness3404its more of a morally grey situation, frankly, you mostly have a point with undertale given that youve got enemies like toriel, papyrus, mkid, etc. that would be hard to justify, but in undertale yellow, thats mostly different, for one, clover doesnt have control over the save file, flowey does, therefore, they have no memory of what happened and its as if it was their first time here, theres no argument about moral responsibility from clover's pov, althrough, most endings in uty lead to clover dying without knowing what happens later, so they arent morally obligated to do a pacifist route even if clover could remember resets, for all they know, monsterkind would incite a war against humanity after they get the 7th human soul, its a morally grey situation no matter what.
With 7 human souls, a monster can become god and be able to defeat humanity in a war, thats reason enough to worry about monsters being a potential risk to humanity (especially muffet if she finds out that humans kill spiders), so therefore, clover is eliminating potential threats, look at it from clover's pov, they went down to find the fallen humans, and many monsters are trying to kill clover, so therefore, clover would think that theyre violent, so killing them could be somewhat understandable, maybe they killed the 5 humans. You can spare Dalv without aborting genocide, so he wont count.
Now, Martlet, one thing is clear, clover doesnt seem to want to kill her, in fact, you can argue that clover is only shooting martlet to get her to go away, which is why they let her go twice, so there's no ill intent until much later.
Clover doesnt know anything about starlo when they meet him, all they know is that he challenges them to a seemingly deadly dual, so seeing it from that angle, its no wonder why clover chooses to shoot him. Ceroba is trying to kill clover, so self-defense.
Axis's first encounter makes it very clear why clover gets pissed off at him. When he scans clover, he threatens them and almost starts a fight before clover proceeds to shoot, so you could argue that clover sees the robots as human-killing machines, feeling vindicated when axis reveals that he killed the integrity human soul.
Zenith Martlet, there are many reasons for clover to change their mind, maybe axis's reveal fully convinced clover that monsters are savage and that even martlet deserves death for being part of it due to her royal guard status.
Overall, most enemies killed by clover werent innocent, and can choose to let go those who were innocent, so really, many kills in uty could be easily justified if you look at it from clover's pov. Clover isnt hunting down monsters for power, but for justice. Kind of morally grey, tbh.

@@JQR.Video idea: What if Starlo injected the determination serum in front of you and gets powerup (In pacifist) and proceeds to beat you down because in this case you have to make him so, so mad he snaps out of anger
The only reason I would spare her is because I love ceroba but if I truly loved her I know that killing her would be the better option. And you don’t get the friendliness pellets if you spare her so sparing her is overall a dumb idea

You really gotta get yourself an editing software that isn't Aseprite or whatever you use. The quality shift was real
If you're referring to the sound delay on Ceroba's cutscene, that's more just me at fault since I didn't properly time the voice blips right, allat was in an actual editor!
Aesprite itself was only used twice to animate the Ceroba cutscene and flowey bit, both have the same consistency as the regular gameplay sprinkled here, I'm not quite sure what you mean here

Hello, I don't know if you're going to see this but I need some help in Ceroba's Boss when the 2nd phase arrives (he gets the red staff) the maximum life starts to come down from nowhere without the lightning strikes, I'm dodging and little by little it goes down and I don't know why, I look in the videos and I don't see it happening to anyone else, do you know why it happens?
You cant touch the edges of the box in the second phase
Oh yeah, what the comment above me just said! In the second phase the borders of the box start draining your health if you touch 'em, you may have been accidentally hugging the box there and that's why your health started dropping, took me a while to figure that out also :,)
Sparing somebody in a genocide run is the worst thing that you can do, It's as if you were asking this person to get screwed alone, without friends, without family... because you killed everyone they had
Nice video, although, Ceroba actually accepting mercy especially after witnessing the death of her childhood friend feels out of character. Realistically, she'd use that moment of hesitation from Clover by killing them immediately once the Spare button is pressed since she would want to fight to the death. Basically, "get dunked on" moment
I think It's less of accepting mercy and more that her body can't keep going, she can't even summon magic for a few seconds

I use Aesprite mostly to make scenes and create sprites, either that or the undertalemodtool for well.. modding!
@@JQR. How do you get 'maps'? Especially animated ones like waterfall. Also, can I add dialogue and not just replace it with modding.
@@kelseyomoriWell, normally since I draw over a recording the background is just one image, not really a map, if I ever need the screen to move or something I just splice it with another recording where I move the player character to the left or right of the screen and just edit them out after (Giving the illusion that there's a whole map)
