My 75 yrs old buddy was riding down the highway coming back from Arkansas when a deer ran out in front of him. He was riding a 2015 bmw 1200rt. He was wearing full gear because it is about 8 hrs away. He went down hard breaking 4 ribs…but that’s it. His jacket and pants saved his skin…full helmet saved his face…it was scrapped up and he was riding again in one month. I’m 65 yrs old and I’m passed trying to look cool, I want to ride as long as possible. Be safe out there people. 👍👍👍

I wear chainsaw chaps, lv 3 ballistics jacket, and helmet. Yeah Husquvarna chainsaw chaps are better than their motorcycle pants or chaps. Personally it's a China made jacket no protection from a slide. It says it's origin is China but made in the U.S? Personally if it aint CE certified it is just a jacket. EN 17092-1:2020 establishes the specific test methods required for motorcycle gear to achieve its CE rating. These tests cross a variety of different attributes of a piece of a gear, including and not limited to abrasion resistance, impact absorption, rotational cut resistance, tear strength, seam strength, transverse rigidity, and more. These tests must be conducted by a third party. Gear brands cannot use their own in-house tests to pass CE certification. You can decent certified gear for same price. That won't melt into skin during a slide.
