    I ordered three sets of the mini self watering planters and love them. I also ordered several plants from them. I got all their kitchen minis (3 mini cucumbers and 1 each of everything else) Purple Cherokee and the sungold tomatoes. Everything came packaged really well. I live in Michigan. In another day or two I will be picking my first kitchen Mini peppers. my plan is to bring them in the house this winter to see if I can keep them alive with a grow light. I even got my aunt and cousin who lives in a little condo association to get a garden tower and got them to order a bunch of Vego mini garden plants, and they have had a ball with it and all the neighbors keep coming over to check their tower out. So it’s the first time ever that I’ve known them to grow vegetables and I’m proud that they stepped out of their comfort zone and that I could help them even though I’m 3 1/2 hours away, you guys are a true blessing and I’m gonna try to find the video for the Vego beds that you were going to give away because I cannot have a garden in the ground, but I could use those where I live. I can only plant in pots and containers and I just ordered my second Greenstalk and I’m hoping to make that one all strawberries. ❤

    Sorry for probably dumb questions but I’m just learning here. You don’t want the tomatoes to vine ripen? I’m curious why you picked them off just when they start to blush for fear of losing them? Will they get too heavy? Sorry if you explain and I missed it.

    I have a tomato question. I only planted 4 tomato plants this year for fresh eating. I've got them in 5 gallon buckets. 1 plant in each bucket. I've gotten 2 ripe tomatoes and they both had blossom +end rot from 2 different plants. Does the blossom end rot come from the plant or from the soil?
    I added epsom salts, ground up rolaids and miracle grow to the soil when i planted just like every year. This is ❤¹the 2nd year I've used the buckets and i don't know if my soil was bad or if the tomato starts i bought were diseased.

      Lack of calcium. I added gypsum around the plant, about 5 inches from stalk - and BER went away. 🍅

    • @Jomama02
      @Jomama02 6 месяцев назад

      @bgatlin5918 I know how to fix it but I don't know if it came from the soil or dirt or the tomato plant and they got plenty of calcium...

    • @pecangrovems
      @pecangrovems  6 месяцев назад

      The soil has become depleted of nutrients. It will have to be added back. Plus some varieties are more susceptible than others.

    I have an okra variety that is a dwarf cowhorn. It’s supposed to be a white okra that grows pods that don’t start getting tough until they are at least 6-7” long and the stalk is definitely dwarf. They are supposed to be very tasty. If they bear out, I will send you some. It’s the only variety of okra I’m growing, so the seed should be true to type.

    Since the air grafts are apparently developing their roots, y’all can start more to ensure that they have survivors once they are removed from the tree and planted in the ground. Redundancy is a beautiful thing.

    My experience with indeterminate tomatoes is that they will grow and produce as long as they are not damaged or diseased. I think they are perennial ground vines in their native habitat.

    Hello 👋 Mr. Danny and Miss Wanda from Jackson Tennessee, I’m wondering if, instead of a ziplock bag, that a type of shrink wrap might work. I truly love that idea of air rooting a fruit tree. My partner and I live next door to each other and have been partners for many years. He loves the orchard type farming and I love the animals and vegetables farming. As is well known farming works together as it fits the individual lifestyle. I need shade and food for my animals that isn’t processed, I’m hoping to plant enough food producing trees to provide a healthy food source and the shade for my pigs and chickens,, and also provide a good food source for our household of two nearly the age and y’all. Unfortunately we’re all in the experimental stage of any real production of our own food. Thank the lord above for leading me to your channel and allowing us to live much closer to creator and our Mother Earth. Blessings to all y’all and please watch your topknot 🙏🌈✌️

    If I had to put mosquito netting around my tomatoes I would do it. I love vine ripened tomatoes, and I would never pick my tomatoes green like you're doing except for frying. I can buy tomatoes that are as ripe as what you're picking from the grocery store. Don't your tomatoes taste 100x better when they get ripe?

    • @zefox7851
      @zefox7851 6 месяцев назад

      In the south, this year, the tomatoes are cooking on the Vine, even under shade. I take mine a little more ripe but the top is still green. By the next morning they are finished.

    • @EdimentalGardens
      @EdimentalGardens 6 месяцев назад

      They aren’t going to eat them like that. As long as they have started to blush, they ripen off the vine exactly the same as on the vine. There have been studies on this and lots of RUclips videos about it. You just set them on the counter for a couple of days then they are red and perfect
