  • On 22 August, conductor Kent Nagano will present Richard Wagner’s "Rheingold" at Lucerne Festival, featuring the Dresden Festival Orchestra and ‪@ConcertoKoeln‬ - and using a period approach. What does that entail? How should one imagine such a performance? What is the audience to expect? What research has been necessary for us to hear the opera how it sounded in Wagner’s lifetime?
These questions and much more are discussed by Kent Nagano and Lucerne Festival director Michael Haefliger in the latest episode of "Michael & Friends". A treat for Wagnerians, lovers of historical performance practice - and anyone who simply wants to know how much thinking goes into the preparation of a classical concert.

This is the reason of my admiration - versatile deep approach to the music of all periods - and of course the "James Bond's" laughing of your's.
