Hymn "And Can It Be" music by Dan Forrest, sung by the Master's Choir Chorale. Credit for the music/audio part goes to Lance Cockrell @ • And Can It Be -- Dan F...
Our church choir has had four successful collaborations with Dan, all glorious. He has the power to lift the curtain back with his baton and give us a glimpse of God's grace. Jim
My mama and I were honored to participate in a 1000 voice choir to perform this song at the Getty Sing! 2019 conference in Nashville just this past week at the Bridgestone Arena with 13,000 folks attending- it was an experience I will never forget. As close to heaven this side of eternity I have ever come!
Amen! I was there at that conference! You all did an incredible job, and I was in the back of the room belting out the tenor part. The cool thing is, I got to sing that same anthem at Csehy Summer School of Music just three weeks earlier! :) The entire choir I was in was weeping as we sang this one. It is such a beautiful piece, and is such a vivid reminder of the power of the Cross of Jesus! Here is the recording of the Csehy choir I was in. I'm at the top, very right. ruclips.net/video/QB_8lHfDKEQ/видео.html
I had the privilege of being at the Sing! Conference and listening to you. It brought me to tears (as it has every time I’ve heard it since). Absolutely beautiful.
Every time I listen to this song.... it makes me feel closer to my Savior. What a sweet and great message of how great Gods love really is. Thank you, LORD!
I got to sing this on 3 different occasions during my time at Bob Jones University. Such wonderful memories. This arrangement hits me right in the gut every time! I can still sing the bass line lol
The Wesley lyrics to this Methodist hymn shatter me! The melody written by Dan Forrest only adds to the shattered remains of what I thought I knew about some of the greatest Protestant hymns ever written. I now know I knew nothing!!!!!!
You dont hear many hymns like this in the 'modern' church. It doesnt appeal to kids, and they arent taught to appreciate the scriptural richness of hymns like this.
Fortunately my church sings from the hymnal (an updated hymnal which includes most old traditional hymns as well as modern ones such as the Gettys, etc. And the younger adults sing the loudest with great passion. It is a great blessing!
Obsessed ❤... The Amazing love here now is the grace the Lord gives to People like Dan to bless us with such. this composition is a piece of Heaven, the Orchestration is out of this world
God bless you Bitty. I am very happy that you shared on Pinterest one more Heart and Soul touching composition of the wonderful Dan Forrest. I love his compositions which are in my opinion a special unique gift of God. Finally I am closing my comments, and echo with the words form ant c, God with us. - with love of Sounds of God - Elijah ♪♫♥
Hi (hate to get technical here, but his name is Dan Forrest (not Forrester)---and, God has greatly blessed him and gifted him! I am constantly watching for new RUclips "contributions" to watch and listen to. I especially like the visuals that Jessica has put with this song. Thank you so much.
You are absolutely right! But, on the flip side, we can't give Charles Wesley all the credit for the great music written by Dan Forrest used here. All in all, I think both men deserve equal credit for this song. :D
Sooo beautiful. Hello. I am Lilli Ann Cera of St John UMC Philippines. Can I get permission to use this music video in our online Worship. Hope you will consider. Much thanks. Shalom.

Unfortunately, they always stick to classical composers born before 1900.
We sing this in our church choir! I love it so much!
And my nieces and nephews love it too!
So it isn't completely lost.

Magnificent.
Beautifully sung. Thank you! This was more than music, it was prayer in it's purest form. God Bless you all!

If you confess Jesus as your Lord and believe He died for you and rose again to take away your sin you'll be saved!
In addition, Dan Forrester himself accompanied us on the piano!

PRAISE JESUS!!!
Charles Wesley wrote this hymn. It isn't right not to credit him for such rich lyrics.
