I'm glad that it helped. If you have a weapon that you really like you can start playing around in NG+, but you will continue to find better weapon upgrades until you reach NG+4 (Way of the Nioh). That's where most forging experimentation happens.
I am in NG ( started about a month ago) looking to get some elemental damage on a weapon and also looking for the shiranui set cause i wanna focus on fire! Anytips ???
I’m shortly before 5th Region and I’m using level 70-80 weapons. Is that enough? Cause I never used the smith for anything else than buy/sell and /haircut/beard and the disassemble functions. And I’m quite good at this game, rarely die to normal enemies. Bosses I even killed first try. The attacks is around 400-500 for katana and dual katana which I’m using
I really don’t understand how all RUclips’s have weapons that do 2k damage I’m at the end of the game and my Odachi only does 800 so what am I doing wrong and how can I acquire weapons that do that amount of damage because I’m not getting weapons with high attack damage
SyTron when you say end of the game, do you mean end of 1st playthrough, or WotN? Weapons keep scaling through WotN and down the Abyss. If you want extremely OP weapons, you have to play through 5 game cycles, and descend the abyss. Also, stacking armor set bonuses really boost dmg. If Ive misread comment, let me know. Happy to help
i ignored the blacksmith until very late in the game becase he/she never had any weapon to sell better that what i had already collected from revenants. Probably time for a guide for idiots

if you have a few candles and don't play recklessly you never lose amrita

if you are in Ng, dont even worry about blacksmith…use what you find. Using the Blacksmith should be much later

you can temper an element onto a weapon that doesn’t have a preset one built in
