Yeah, I agree with the fluid. I did the same thing as you did. I'm not gonna put air plugs in something. Knowing that it's going to destroy blow it apart. Awesome review on this truck.
@L2theWcarscoffeelife he had someone print it for him. I contacted them and they made 1 for me. They gave me the schematics to 3D it myself but I didn't have a printer ta the time. I think I paid them. Like $20 shipped. If I can send you a pic to show you.
Unfortunately people like Kev do this earplug trick and people assume thats the proper way all he does is skate park most of his stuff you wont see him do that to any track car and nobody tells you the risk of jamming the diff up that tight
Part way through you said "You've gotta work at this thing." and that I think is very sound advice Larry 👍🏻... Learning, doing re-doing, trying new stuff, not being dismissive without experiencing... Sure it will cost money and take time but it's called a hobby/a past time for a reason.
Thank you very much I agree its part of the hobby not all cars react the same to the same fluid and maybe like for me I am looking for a little different driving experience other than wheelies all the time it will take a little bit to get it where I want it but thats the fun learning how it will react
Earplugging works super good.. especially on these big heavy trucks.. it doesn't lock it.. it still functions..but it gets it close at first.. but it will break down some over use.. and to me it's just the sweet spot.. but we re all different and the cherry on top is it's crazy cheap compared to fluid.. it's crazy that the vigilante has 300k in it.. when the traxxas hoss has 500k and weighs a lot less.. another great video man..
@basherz_den thank you very much I might go 1 million but that's it I dont want this one to do nothing but wheelies plus the plastic diff cups its going to heat up fast I have that. Notorious now wow what a beast that is lol so this will be driveable the Notorious for goofy fun lol
Yep its diffing out.. better earplug all the diffs.. and your neighbors diffs.. you get some earplugs!! You get some earplugs!! .. you get some earplugs!!!! 😂😂😂😂
@phillybrc yeah but its not a bad thing either sometimes you don't want them backflipping or doing wheelies all the time yeah it seems.like a little too much to the front I might go 1 million but with plastic diff cup and its hidden probably not much more it will get too hot I about to pull the front and rear based on the dampness I saw unboxing it my guess is they are dry

@@SleekHobbies88 thank you very much
KGM5512 had a 3D printed lift for the center brace so bigger batteries can fit. I ordered 1 and it is awesome.
@@MrShaaman6969 where did you get it?

@L2theWcarscoffeelife bluegroovemodelsports9650 is the one that made it. Look up. Redcat vigilante battery spacer and KGMs video comes up.
10:25 but but but YOU just said that Redcat knows what they're doing cause they made this RC therefore DRY DIFFS are factory spec
That they know what fluid should work good not how to put a gasket on 🤣🤣🤣
Thanks for the video. That was way easier to take apart then i thought it was gonna be.
I totally agree with your diff tuning analogy… tune them for your specific driving style👍🏻

I like your way of thinking, buddy keep it up of course find out from the people that built the car smart thanks again love the content
